How has nobody commented on John5? Manson yells "be abused "...John just goes "not again" and walks fast away. John5 is the nicest person I've ever met (over rob zombie)
Unfortunately zombie chose not to come to florida for this tour (would have been incredible to see both bands together)...but manson always comes to fl and will be here halloween
I got to see them both about a month ago near Pittsburgh PA, it was wonderful. Zombie is one of my favs and was awesome, Ive never been much of a Mason fan but he puts on one hell of a show. Much respect for him and his touring band, they put in some work and sound great live.
For me his voice is meh. But as a composer he's actually really good he's done a lot of sound track work for movies (Resident Evil being one of his most notable) so in that sense he's great but as a vocalist i could take him or leave him.
He really is one of the last rockers around. MM may not sound like he did 20 years ago but I’m so glad he is still touring. Until the end my friend rock on.
Well, Trent Reznor is still making music which is actually still as amazing as his 90s stuff and he's in a great shape and puts out some of the best live shows.
To be brutally honest, I feel like it's a miracle that Manson is still with us. With the the ridiculous amount of drugs and alcohol throughout his career, I feel like he's probably lucky he hasn't fatally OD'd.
anybody else notice, while and after J5 was onstage, Manson sounded like his original 90s self? pay particular attention to the second J5 is leaving the stage, its like MM comes back from the coma he has been in vocally! how awesome it would be to see the OG lineup do some shows, i miss seeing these guys in concerts throughout the 90s when the shit was deep and they were right in the middle of it!
Unfortunately 2 of the OG members are no longer on this earth which is such a shame. Would have loved to see Daisy come back and do a few shows. Seeing as Manson has 2 guitar players these days I'd love to see Zim Zum and John5 rock a tour together
Huh? Welcome back? It's been almost 18 years since he's been with Manson. He wasn't back and didn't even play anything here. He just made an appearance on stage. Lol
Good to see Manson looking energetic and really getting into putting on a performance, especially with his health issues and cancellations as of late, and more generally, the fact he has had a rough year with his father passing away, him fracturing his leg earlier this year from a stage prop falling on him, etc. He looks like he's feeling better this night, much like how strong and energetic he was on July 14th when I saw him and Zombie at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre in St. Louis. Hope he continues to have a kickass tour, but first and foremost I hope he is as happy as can be considering what has transpired this year, and that he stays well and looks after his health. The only thing that could have made that night even more incredible than it already was was if I got to meet and talk with Manson after the July 14th concert. He is such an interesting, articulate, intellectual guy that has a lot of interesting stories from his life and wisdom in general. Rock on, Manson. We love you!
Aww I'm so glad you wrote this Wyatt! I just recently got into Marilyn Manson and I adore watching his interviews and live performances. Like you said he's so articulate, yet zany and fun. He deserves all the love!
I've been fascinated by Manson since the 1990s, but I was a kid and it wasn't like I was able to have access to much of his music at the time, though he scared me, but in a curious way...like a guy I'd like to know or meet because it was obvious to me there was Marilyn Manson the artist and the performer/rockstar creature he turned into on stage, and Marilyn Manson the guy who is a regular person just like you or me. Once I got older I started listening to his music and watching and listening to some of his interviews online. He is completely different than the scary creature on stage that horrified parents in the 90s when he first became a famous rockstar. Even after all these years, this I can say for certain: he is an amazingly talented artist, stage performer, philosopher, and just all-around cool guy. If you have not already, I would recommend reading his memoir: The Long, Hard Road Out of Hell. I am almost to the end of it, and it is a very compelling and fascinating read. Certainly, you have to read it from the context and viewpoint of Manson in his 20s because he was a much younger man when he wrote this. Much of this still applies, I'm sure, while other parts may not necessarily. It is certainly a good read, and I do not normally tend to read a lot of biographies or autobiographies, but this one really grabbed my attention.
Same! His interviews really revealed to me how cool and funny he actually is. I would love for you to meet and talk to him one day Wyatt, because I can tell you'd be a great interviewer. Plus, you have a way with words, and you're good at explaining yourself. XD Thanks so much for your comment
Thank you. I appreciate the compliment, and it is nice to meet someone who is a fellow fan who really appreciates Marilyn Manson in his entirety, not just his art, whether music or his paintings, but also enjoys listening to him and finds him to be an interesting person. His intellect really shined brightly especially in the 1990s when he was most controversial and most widely vilified. That was when churches were protesting his concerts, and then in 1999 shortly after the Columbine shooting, which he inevitably got blamed for (even though neither shooter liked or even listened to Marilyn Manson at all), he managed to keep cool, calm, and collected even when it seemed like a large demographic was trying to tear him down. The fact that he survived all that while remaining unshaken by the vicious attempts to silence him or scare him into submission/retirement shows just how strong of a human he is. While I cannot imagine what the history books of the future will say or how they will portray this era of time, I certainly hope they pay Manson all his much deserved homage for everything he survived and went through and still continued to produce his art, despite multiple influential groups trying to destroy him.
I was at this show!!! Just popped it back on to relive it🤘 been having some serious Manson withdrawals.....for like 2 years now #istandwithmarilynmanson
Ever heard of Tim Skold, much better guitarist. I don't think Manson is too worried about it considering he was the one who fired him in the first place ;)
@@oscaravalos9098 there's no way you're going to convince me that Tim skold is a better guitar player than John 5. Have you ever listened to anything by John 5 and the creatures?
Loss yes, gain? Not so much. He's just a role player with Zombie. He hasn't really done anything great for them. It's kinda casual. Which isn't bad, just saying not much of a gain other than great live performance.
Wow super awkward. John5 is such a good guy, I wonder if Manson asked him to play on a song and 5 refused, but Manson at least dragged him on for an appearance.
