    I have stayed at all the hotels you mentioned and others in Jakarta. For me Four Seasons is both the best and best value hotel.
    You must have been unlucky as have stayed many times and bathroom products are branded, linens are fresh and nice smelling, and not experienced any faults. And breakfast selection is extensive.
    Best thing above all of that is the service and personalisation.

    Well done video and interesting property. I noticed from watching an older video when you first started narrating them that you have increased your confidence level significantly and video quality which is great. As for the comment about the duvet... I recall watching a crime show about a women who met her end in a motel room in Indiana. The police examined the bed cover to see about finding traces of "DNA" if you know what I mean but in fact that cover included individually identifiable traces of "DNA" for 43 people! As for Bensley.. it can be a fine line between being cool vs. downright garish. This place seems ok though. Thanks again for these videos.

    • @tfft
      @tfft  2 года назад +2

      Yes, I was not too thrilled to wake up with a face full of duvet 😂. I agree his designs can toy with being garish, but there is no other designer (I know of) that consistently designs such transportive spaces. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻

    By the way, thank you for pointing out the “noise bleed from the hallway“ issue. Light sleepers/just plain fussy visitors like me, want to know about such things. How was the noise level - otherwise - that is, regarding traffic noise or nearby restaurants, etc.? Were the rooms quiet aside from the hallway noises?

    • @tfft
      @tfft  2 года назад +2

      I didn’t find any other issues with noise here. In fact the windows were very insulated as I was comparing them in my mind to the Park Hyatt which had a lot of noise bleed through the windows.
      For noise bleed, when it’s bad I’ll always mention it. If I don’t say anything it was acceptable or better. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻

    My wife and I were watching an Architectual Digest, celebrity home tour the other day and there was a Rorschach marble slab in (I forgot the celebrity) their bathroom as well. Seems a bit odd but then, who am I to judge. The one in the Four Seasons bathroom looked like a rejected Donnie Darko movie poster proof.

      Just curious how you consider the Mulia Hotel? My company always insisted that I stay there while in Jakarta and I liked the Mulia a lot but was always curious how other hotels in Jakarta might compare to the Mulia (which was located near the Seneyan shopping complex)

    I'm hearing you on the additional key access requirement, as a Gym junkie it drives me bonkers when l head to the Gym at stupid AM only to find my room key doesn't access the Gym, back in the lift, usually down to reception get said key (that no one ever mentions is needed) back up to the Gym, the kicker is when the access key is only valid for 24hrs you then have to repeat the performance the following day! Why? 😒

    • @tfft
      @tfft  2 года назад +1

      The ironic part is that even if you were injured in the gym or at the pool (which you’d have to think locked doors are there to prevent…)- they’re likely not liable bc of notices and whatnot posted on the wall… so yeah it’s just unnecessary crowd control.

    What a disappointment the Four Seasons so expensive and stylish, classy place with all of those mistakes/pitfalls. The pool area and chaise loungers looked cluttered. The second tier area looks like a mistake just flat grass and then someone ran for the hills. Lot's of faux pas. What a terrible disappointment. In addition to the amenities for the bathroom, the door not closing, the duvet cover situation. Did you experience dust and dirty carpet anywhere in the room as well as musty closets? I would have complained to the manager of the hotel immediately specially since you are a paying customer no freebies other than what should be given to you as a paying customer and a very expensive room. Thanks for sharing it with all of us.
