So pleased to finally be finished!! This is the full video--just the first verse + chorus--but the full song works really well for SoC and you should listen to it! And also read the Six of Crows duology by Leigh Bardugo because those are them Good Books. uOu/
Some notes: Wylan's burning a letter and yep, that's his dad. Yep, that's Jarl Brum's gloved hand that appears before the wolf. Inej's knives should've been dark for maximum stealth, I just liked the shine too much. In retrospect, I wish I'd given Kaz a proper limp.

@@fardareismai4495 Ok. So it opened and I went to return the books I had since December (I'm sorry, I'm sorry). I remembered having seen a book that said something about crows, so I looked for it. It wasn't Six of Crows, but something called The Raven Boys. Suffice to say it was NOT what I wanted to read.
I went looking for an adventure, came back with one of those books that give romance a bad name. It's also filled with bad names. The dude's name is Gansey. Fuckig Gansey. Like, it's his surname, but he calls himself like that and I hate it.
@Neverland I actually finished it and it was ok. I still hate the name Gansey (oh my God, it sucks so much!) and I'm kinda mad that the author keeps pursuing the whole Gansey/Blue relationship, even tho she has this amazing chemistry with Adam and a fine friendship with Gansey. Before reading it, I had thought of ways to make it better and one occurred to me that I loved: turning the meaning of "true love" around. Instead of the perfect person for you to fall in love with, it's a person that you love more than anything. It can be a friend, a sibling, a parent, a romantic interest, a fricking dog for all I care, but it's not restricted to romance. So Blue, who didn't really have any friends, finds the friend that she'd always been looking for in Gansey. And she dates Adam or whatever, but with Gansey remains strictly friends. And at the end, Gansey is fatally wounded or something, and he's about to die very painfully, so Blue kisses his forehead, says "goodbye friend" and he dies in peace. Oh my, that'd have been so great. But no, romance comes first.
Other than that, it was a fine book. The beginning is not the best tho. It felt so unoriginal it made me put the book down. But I'm weak, so I picked it up again and finished it in a day. And it was cool. I liked Ronan and Noah.

D: I need more SoC. Why couldn't it have been a trilogy?

Interesting fact: in czech language “Kaz” means something bad or something wrong like defect or something like that and i absolutely love it (even tho author probably doesnt know about it) because it basically says everything about Kaz Brekker.
I read somewhere that thats why kaz is called kaz, though it might have been a remarkable coincidence.

The original languages of the book were English and Czech, so she probably did do it on purpose!
To me Brekker always sounded like breaker/Brecher (German) but I suppose that’s deliberate because he wanted to choose a name to make himself sound hard

I love the little transition details in this video! Like at 0:18 the lightning forms the silhouette of the guy who appears a second later, and how at 0:28 the knife she throws becomes the light reflecting off the next guy's shoes.

Dirtyhands has come to see the job done
bruh this is from almost 4 years ago and yet i still have SO MUCH to say about it -- the characterisation is so spot on, in so little time you hit every character so well (matthias is definitely my favourite here!! what a great fucking way to display him in just a couple of seconds, his longing, his anguish, uGH!). the musicality of it is insane too, every beat accounted for with some movement in the animation, everything timed so effectively. watching this in 0.5 or 0.25 speed is like a damn religious experience. and all that not to mention your actual art? the designs are brilliant, the animation is seamless even when slowed down so much, your use of colour and light and literally everything.
i'm obsessed.

This literally got me into the books. I read Six of Crows and The Crooked Kingdom in 4 days time. Back to Back, eating, sleeping, using the bathroom, they all seemed like a chore to me. I'd start reading from the morning till late at night. I just wanna say thank you for getting me into the books.
i did the same! 2 days uninterrupted reading i skipped lunch and stayed up all night but it was worth every seconf of it!!! it took me 11 hours of back to back reading just for the seconf book but that’s what i wanted
