I haven't been editing very much at all lately. I'll be lucky if I open Sony Vegas once in a week at this point. I had a BUNCH of projects in progress and planned out for you guys, but I've just lost a lot of inspiration and interest lately. This one was inspired by a video by the wonderful @vellichor and it gave me the boost I needed to start a new project!
It's been over three years since I've posted a Spuffy vid. They were my fave ship for years, but some v vocal fans in the BtVS fandom made me feel awful for shipping them so I'd ducked away from this ship for some time. But after my latest rewatch, I've been reminded of how much I adore them. So, I don't care if people don't like that I like Buffy/Spike, I'm gonna post vids for these two regardless!
(apologies for quote at 3.15ish, I've raised the volume repeatedly, but it's still so low that it can't be heard against the backdrop of the music. Gonna try and get a new copy of that episode bc that low volume there is driving me crazy)
Hopefully, I'll get back into editing again like I was before, I have got a crazy list of projects lined up for you all. Here's hoping they'll see the light of day.

"i've been the archer, i've been the pray" actually perfectly describes all of buffy's relationships. not just with her boyfriends, but also with her friends. this is so well done.
Never be ashamed for loving Spuffy! They are my first and all time OTP. This is beautiful even as it is so sad and highlights how hard it was for them and how I wish it could have gone better. Keep em coming!

aw thank you so much! I find it v hard when people are really judgemental about a ship, and I think some fans are particularly nasty to the people who ship Spuffy, and that's left me hesitant to engage with the ship for a while, but I'm so happy I've rediscovered my love for them
yessss i'm slowly making my way through s10 comics as I'd fallen really far behind, but omg domestic Spuffy with all their kittens was truly one of the high points for me! XD

@@HostilePoet17 That’s okay. We know why we ship Spuffy. It’s not cause oh they had some abusive hot sex relationship… videos like yours show the WHOLE story. And being human is to sit back and look at someone’s whole story, not to just pick and choose to judge someone off their darkest times. I feel those people that want to judge are the truly the ones in our society that may look at others with such a tiny lenses. Watching two people who were at odds come together while going through the many trials of life; good, bad, and ugly and still truly SEE each other…. Now that is epic…that is more closer to the real world than some fantasy love story about two people who already loved each other and then ooops can’t be together cause they can’t do x,y,z. It’s tragic but we encounter a lot of people in our lives that we first see as the enemy…but that’s the whole point… to come together no matter how different we are… the haters really just don’t get it… their love is not Romeo and Juliet..no no it’s not… Spike and Buffy had something more epic and true. May be a different love than with Angel. Not trying to compare cause I do appreciate Angel’s love for Buffy. However, Spike was something special. I feel like it’s easier to sacrifice for someone you already know truly loves you back..but for someone(Spike) to truly love and die for Buffy who may not have loved him as much as he did her…he still stood right by her regardless….that’s on some higher shit to me lol sorry sooooo long.

I read your description and damn it's sad after all these years that Spuffy fans still get harassment yet other shippers of Buffy couples conveniently forget all the toxic shit that happened in their ships.

Amazing. I'm obsessed with them (mostly him😁 and his voice and the way he uses it), but I feel understood when I'm into the fandom. Don't know how good it is to linger in this obsession, but I'm here.
Loved the song and the effects you use, I make edits that I call Spuffy fanart, but they're just images and words, and they're hard to make sometimes. So I can only bow to gifted Spuffers like you! That's Art!

I don't really know why, but I think my very favorite part is when you put a masked parallel of Spike touching her hair and Buffy cutting off her hair over the line "I cut off my nose just to spite my face," I honestly don't think I truly appreciated how much this song belongs to them until I saw that

I honestly find it sort of odd how shallowly and negatively people view their relationship- especially after szn 7- and the way the comics essentially debunk any perceived “toxicity” of that connection (once Spike is ensouled). The show of what was on tv is not the whole story- in fact Joss created seasons 8-12 because there *was* the possibility of translating that to television. SMG just didn’t want to continue (for completely understandable reasons).
And even if you haven’t read the comics (though I side eye those who are so vocal about BTVS in trashing ships but who haven’t even read the whole story?) their relationship in season 7 is *way* different, significantly healthier, showing how much they helped each other grow to become stronger, better people. As well as the depth and the purity of their affection for each other. A connection that has truly been tested and made stronger with adversity. And again, the comics’ storyline just confirms this.
Anyway, this is my Roman Empire so I can both rant and/or wax poetic about this for days.
