I don't know why Ziva and Gibbs have been on my brain lately, but I figured editing them would help get those feels out a bit. I always liked the bond that Cote de Pablo and Mark Harmon seemed to have. I was originally going to do a more angsty/sad edit, but then I figured maybe a happier one would be nice for a change. But it's definitely possible I'll do the angsty/sad one I had in mind in the future.

The way they found what they needed in each other. Gibbs needed a daughter. Not the daughter he lost the daughter who needed him to be a father because she had never had a real one. He created a family for his team that he wish he had. He became to each of them what they needed most in the world. A protector, a mentor, a father, a guardian, a friend, and a companion. He found what he needed in being what they needed. When they were all safe again he retired because his job was done. They were ok.

This was beautiful and what a fantastic clip quality ❤ I binged that show for the first time about 10 yrs ago but then stopped watching sometime during S13 I think. Ziva and GIbbs have always been my faves and their relationship has always been something special. I've been doing a rewatch and got all the way to the beginning of S19 this time but I feel like after Ziva's departure the show began to slowly deteriorate. No shade on the new characters, they are all great in their own ways and I could come up with a lot of fun plots for them to engage in had I had a say in the matter. But I dare say a lot of potential had been wasted. The storylines seemed to become more and more convolited and all the humor that used to distinguish NCIS from other similar shows has just evaporated somewhere. The more recent episodes just feel so sad, especially when U watch them just a month or two after watching the very earliest ones. This show became a mare shadow of itself but that's the beauty about media, you can always just... rewind and earlier episodes are still such a joy to watch. And videos from creators like yourself are also such a nice addition. Stay inspired! Cheers! I'll go plot an ass-long fix it fic now or something :D
Thank you so much! I love if a video can inspire some more good fanfiction. I do the same thing, videos from people will suddenly make me spend hours writing something that I need to get out of my system. I agree with you completely, the show lost a lot of humor as the years went on. The first three seasons in particular have the most humor, and carry so much nostalgia. That humor really was lost as the years went on. It really has not been the same show for a long time. It makes sense with years passing, but it's still sad, and one does feel nostalgic for what the show was like earlier on. The team dynamics were also just so much better earlier on. I stopped watching when Gibbs left, and I've never watched any of the new episodes since then. There eventually does come a point where it is time to let go and move on, especially when you know you aren't enjoying it anymore. But thank heavens we can still rewatch the old stuff and enjoy some good fanfiction to bring the nostalgia back. Cheers to you too! Enjoy plotting a long-ass fic! 😄

I know it mentions My Dad and children on here and of course Gibbs was older than Gibbs, but if you haven't ever read the Gibbs/Ziva stories on Fanfiction where they become a couple, they are excellent. In different ones they date, marry and have children and I mean excellent. I like them because Tony ends up with another woman that is good friends with Ziva.
