Chris Stuckmann and Sam review Hidden Figures, starring Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer, Janelle Monae, Kirsten Dunst, Jim Parsons, Mahershala Ali, Aldis Hodge, Glen Powell, Kevin Costner. Directed by Theodore Melfi.
Chris I miss your Oscar Nominations reaction videos. Bring em back!! I'd love to hear your thoughts!!
King of Wakanda he says he's done with the oscars
Everyone is done with the Oscars lol.
Seventy Eight I want to see what he thought of the kubo nomination
speak for yourself. The noms are about the best they could be for the year. Very good year.
Is this your job?
So that's it huh, we're some kind of...Notification Squad?
Lol
Eddard Liebber this meme is almost as bad as the thing it's referencing
Eddard Liebber Yes we are
Alonso Arana It's not almost as bad. It IS as bad as the thing it's referencing.
+Eddard Liebber
your jokes are awful and I love it!
do more reviews with your wife. Its lovely seeing you two interact.
Also senpai notice me
Movie Yeti
Says the guy who's watching this video FOR FREE.
Movie Yeti Oh snap Yeti....or should I say....BIG FOOT!? You fraud...
For some odd reason I thought his wife would be Asian.
Yeah sure shitty review sure... Btw wtf is she wearing? Is she a nun or something??
Am I the only one who's loves the fact that Chris's wife is starting to join in reviewing films?
Bleh yeah i enjoyed the sialor moon r review
Bleh yes
I dunno.
SaphricPCGaming don't worry my friend. we're all alone and ugly in our mid to late twenties, single with no hope in sight. You're not alone my friend. bask in your sorrow, accept it.
Bleh I think you are. makes the reviews longer and she seems to have terrible taste
I love the reviews you do with your wife!! Great having not only a different perspective, but a woman's perspective
Do an episode of SpongeBob without SpongeBob
the connection of the title “Hidden Figures” to the story of the movie?
So, we're some kind of Hidden Figures?
hahaha :'D
JVD GUN as soon as I read "so we're some kind of " in my head I heard will smith's voice
JVD GUN nope that one didn't even work
JVD GUN I didn't want to like this joke... but I did 😂.
"I wanna build a team of some very smart black women, who I think can do some good." -Amanda Waller
The amount of underhand or outright abusive comments on this thread is frankly disturbing. Complaints at a film are fine but how about keeping it to the areas of actual film production and not turning the comments into a chorus of "I'm not racist, but..."
From the YT comments section? Impossible.
Those people are great, because you always know they'll finish with something blatantly racist like "I think them monkeys should be hangin' from trees". Some are obviously just trolling but I've seen too many people who've ACTUALLY thought that kind of shit. It's insanity.
Lol i just went through a quick search through the comments out of 40 comments: 10 had to do with complaining about the comments in the video, 20 were people saying this was an amazing movie that influenced them, 5 people were asking questions about his wife, 3 people were complaining about the movie either about the child characters or that it was boring, and 2 people complaining that they hated this style of review.
Thomas Mason welcome to the Internet. Can't stop it.
I wish you did a Oscar nomination reaction
QueefCookie same
He said on facebook he wished your name would have been nominated for best animated picture and he is happy for hacksaw ridge,la la land and moonlight.
I dont know why he stopped It seems he ragequitted on the Academy after 2014 noms but it seems wierd to me considering many movies he liked were nominated and he was pleasedly surprised (Kaguya, Nightcrawler, Birdman, Whiplash) It should had balanced all those nominations with the Jake Gyllenhall Snub he was so upset about
+Mo V ids i think he stopped because they snubed jake gyllenhaal for nightcrawler
My favorite is when anti-sjw get triggered by "pc" movies. It's a beautiful irony.
SEMS more like racist people
Backstage Bums Pfft, no! What are you? Fucking rational?
LOL so true! RUclips is infested with extremely sensitive anti-sjws these days. Somehow they can relate every video to back sjws XD
Backstage Bums Exactly & yes please.
SEMS
My favorite is when SJWs get triggered by generalizations/strawmen they created to slander anti-SJWs. It's a beautiful irony.
Dude I'm so sick of people arguing/discussing politics in RUclips comments. Its everywhere...so tiring
Firstname Lastname I'm there with yah. Political correctness is just absolutely everywhere.
Firstname Lastname A-freaking-men!!!
Square up
***** Yo, dude! Chill out with that. We get it.
xXXrayzerXXx lol call someone a moron but can't even use the correct "you're" gg bro 👌
You can see she likes it, so Chris tip-toes around problems so as not to cross blades with her xD Lol
Happy wife, happy life. I had to learn that the hard way :/
Tiger Chu what happend
This movie just seems like Oscar bait paid off. I guess I'm just salty about Silence and Sing Street 😔
I was thinking the exact same thing at first i was like year but after looking at a synopsis it seems more oscarbaity
also amy adams did not get nominated...
Young James Franco Agreed on _Sing Street_. Fuck you _Trolls_.
Young James Franco the oscars are a sham. Up until the mid 80s it was genuinely about the best performances and best films. Then it became a popularity contest filled with politics. I don't even watch the awards shows anymore they award mediocrity over substance more often then not.
Sing Street and Deadpool are great films but definitely did not deserve to be nominated for a best picture
I can see that Mrs. Stuckmann has got that Mr. Stuckmann syndrome....
She was into everything when Growing up
Yep, she's been Stuckmannized.
DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUDE I was gonna say the same thing XD Thanks :)
I don't think white people may get the deeper personal meaning that black women will get. For me, as a black Woman, I was so extremely moved by it. It's so rare to see black women portrayed well on screen and it was so refreshing to see myself reflected in the film. This film is so important and I don't think it was at all Oscar bait. It totally deserved all the recognition it got.
Gabrielle Henderson Well said. I cried throughout the movie. It was very emotional
Because us whitey's are emotionless monsters who cannot sympathize with anyone.
David Butt She is saying black people( espically women) can relate and enjoy the movie because of the history. Not that a white person can't relate alot, it's more commen for a black person to.
David Butt no one is saying that... omfg 😥😒
This is one of the most moving films of 2016 and I'm hispanic. Also, the director/writer of the film is a white guy. I get what your saying, but don't assume..
some people are really triggered by this movie lmao
Mario Pendic racist people are
Your view is overly simplistic, that's like saying everyone watching the movie is only virtue signaling. I saw the movie, found it mediocre to alright and that is it. And apparently finding flaws with the movie is deemed yet again "racist", which is why people get annoyed, because it is a blanket statement aimed at silencing opposition. Even more i believe it's a cash in movie on the current social environment, there is nothing daring about such a movie anymore which makes it's point kinda moot for me. The fact that you can predict key moments in the movie before the first minute doesn't help either, it's just so formulaic, but it works fine as that i think. At least they didn't let Paul Feig direct the movie i guess, now that would have been a desaster =)
SpaceMonkeyEntertainment what the fuck are you talking about? Nobody said you can't dislike a movie
The vast majority of people that got butthurt are idiots who have a problem with someone who isn't their skin color being portrayed as doing something good historically against great odds at that time.
And how is calling you a racist "silencing" you?
Grow up
How did you assert that it is the vast majority ? What do you define as "butthurt" ? Depending on what you think is being butthurt it might or might not be true. I don't like it, because it is formulaic, which holds it back imo. I don't have a problem with that per se, but it is far from the great movie i have been seeing people write about. And no, it wasn't my too high expectations, because i only read up on it after i had seen it.
As to the silencing part, it is about labeling your conversation partner in a way that allows you to dismiss all they say based on said label, thus the distinction of free speech and hatespeech. Sure you can say all you want, but don't offend anyone or you will be "shut down". Also, even if i was as young as you are implying, what would my age have to do with the discussion ? So thanks for infantilizing me, so you can dismiss an opinion you don't like. Though i realize it was a rhetorical remark to express your disagreement, so i won't go into this petty matter further.
Not to deviate from the discussion, but i think the movie portrays the characters quite believably, they are remarkable women, and depending on interpretation it might even make the arguement that if you want to overcome oppression you have to be great, it even dismisses the activist character in the movie (a point that is completely disregarded or even twisted in some of the more politically charged reviews of the movie). From what i've read about the background (i had no idea of the events at NASA prior to that) it is rather faithful to the events, even if dramatized for the purpose of the movie, so that's cool. In the current social climate the messages might come off as preachy though, because they are repeated over and over today, hence the accusation of "cash in". I assume people believe that if you already buy into systemical oppression today the movie will reinforce that belief. To me it is just a movie set in an undeniably significantly racist time period. No need to to project more into it than it is. Yet it gets praises for all the wrong reasons imo.
john smith troll
come on kids take an interest in science! lol
AlienBusDriver1 I was going to make that same joke. Dammit!
AlienBusDriver1 i'm a black female engineering student 🙋🏾🙋🏾
5 views, no comments.... damn I've never been earlier.
Same
Bullshit, you're always this early
^^^^
Lol never this early
Haven't come this early since the Logan trailer came out I was like the 100th to see it
Why in the ever loving fuck did this get a best picture nomination over Silence?
Silence got no momentum and then bombed at the box office. It was a pretty easy film to ignore.
+lightskintwin Agreed.
lightskintwin I wanted to see Silence but it was only in theatres for like 3 weeks so by the time I had the time to see it, it was gone..
Bill Shakes I know I saw it twice and was bummed that it got no love.
Bill Shakes over silence, nocturnal animals, sing street, etc etc. This is the worst kind of oscar bait ala The Help, Theory of Everything and so on
so are you two in the same room at the same time or what?
This is a true classic. It's fly by the seat but realistic and accurate. Women were the best computers our nation had available.
A local girl from my town played one of the character's younger version. My dad knows her older adoptive brother. I'm so excited to see this movie.
he gives it an A- you're welcome!
why your welcome?
Of course he gave it an A,even if minus. If he gave it a B or lower, he would have bad couple of months in bed with his wife.
The Infidel oh well thats you but majority of his audience likes to sit through his 11 minute videos to see his full thoughts on the film just saying
+Divine Linker idk about that, but people would probably accuse him of racism and sexism.
more of a C+
His wife is so adorable! I love this kind of conversation for a review, and specially for this movie review specifically. Her remarks were awesome
I have a very deep appreciation for this channel. Thank you for working so diligently to create the quality of content that I've come to enjoy so much.
Really enjoyed this film. I really liked the soundtrack to this film as well.
That particular scene where she goes off about having to "hold it in" was so powerful! Also, the court scene about being "the first" was another great moment in this film.
Hey chris do a video on your thoughts about the title of the next star wars ep 8 the last jedi
yes please!!
BIG BOSS why wat
BIG BOSS there already enough people doing that
BIG BOSS Yeah lets do a video about a fucking title. Smh.. And we already know what that title means.. Its Luke
What bugs me is that jedi is simgular as well as plural. So jedi or the last couple of them or like what??
This should not have been nominated for Best Picture
Rohan Prince Why not?
Hairl TabbJr94 It's good. But there were more deserving contenders that should have been nominated.
+Brandon Badgett like edge of seventeen
123rockfan like fucking silence....
123rockfan Edge of Seventeen is overrated as shit.
The movie itself was sorta bland, but what makes it great is that it's a true story that never got told. Sure it was Oscar baity and they embellished some parts, but isn't that almost every biopic or period piece nowadays? Anti-sjws need to stop getting triggered because these weird "titted creatures" with skin darker than theirs are getting more spotlight
Branden Smith not really , the script was actually pretty tight and had multiple subplots that helped with the original plot with fantastic acting . I don't see why it shouldn't be nominated.
Hey Chris! I'm glad you finally got to the reviewing of this film! I've been waiting lol.
I was lucky enough to act in this important film.
I think you hit all great points in the review. I love the style of the video too! Thank you for pointing out how important it is for young kids and teens to watch this film. They could have easily made it PG-13, but I feel they did the right thing there. A lot of people disagree unfortunately. I'm glad you enjoyed it! :D
Chris, great job with the wifey. I like the way she express herself.
Please disable the comments, it's getting terrible down here with all these ASJWs complaining about something that actually happened. Had this movie come out in 90s, nobody would complain. But because it's 2017, ASJWs need something else to complain about with SJWs.
Austin Peewwaarss don't forget about inappropriate comments toward his wife.
Austin Peewwaarss he doesn't need to disable the comments. We just have to pay these morons no attention. Honestly when did this sjw/anti sjw thing even start
The Infidel You lot are finding and picking things to complain about. "Oh Chris's wife is a SJW" and "Another women movie we have to like or we're sexist" and "feminists propaganda" Like whaaat? It's a biopic about something in history. What is there to complain about besides whether or not you like the movie. Like I said before, had this come out decades ago, we wouldn't be having this conversation.
Oh, no! Ideas, shut it down! Can't have that on my comment section.
The Infidel That's called common themes or subject matter, not type cast. Don't get those mixed up. They are black woman in STEM, how many of those characters exist in film to the point it's typecast?
Typecast would be the 'wise cracking side kick' or 'hood booger' or 'struggling black in the ghettos'. The movies objective was to get more woman into STEM since there are very few that take up on the field. Which I can agree with. Yet I can agree with you that it is another Oscar bait movie; just like the rest of the movies nominated this year.
I'm not saying everyone is assuming it's feminist propaganda, but I believe since people are tired of the tried and true subject matter of dealing with real world dark themes, they feel the need to attack viewers, critics and 'Hollywood elites' for enjoying something many put a lot of effort and money into. That's coming from someone who thought this movie was okay.
I don't like when you do reviews like this. I don't mind when it's two people on a couch, these just seem like an interview. If you're gonna do multiple people in your reviews do it like the Schmoes.
Charles Campbell It's kinda like Siskel & Ebert.
Charles Campbell its jarring because they're not looking at the camera, then Chris turns to look at the camera to talk to us. Super weird, like we're listening on a convo or something
plo617 did you seriously compare these 2 to siskel and ebert OMG IM DYING
Mert Amasyalı Lol no, I was trying to say that the format of facing each other in conversation style review is like Siskel & Ebert. That the two most famous reviewers movie critics used that style as well. Come on..
Hey Chris, just wanted to say that I'm really enjoying these videos with your wife. At first I wasn't sure since I thought it'd take away some of the focus, but it's the whole opposite. They give the videos a new focus and an interesting dynamic. Not sure how many you plan on doing with her but you should do these more often.
This new format makes me feel like a third wheel on a blind date
Excellent review, Chris. Great movie, too.
P.S. She always enjoys... "joining you"? Way to go!
I LOVE it when you have Sam join in on reviews. One question, why do you do the switching shot thing in these? I find that just a touch distracting versus having you both in frame talking to each other (like you did recently with Flick).
Chris I assume you don't always see this, but I wanted to say thank you. Based on your review I took my engineer wife and 2 daughters to see this, knowing nothing other than your review. It was a great movie.
Just got back from seeing it and I loved it. The performances were amazing, such a refreshing film about "Hidden Figures".
My estimation of you two has just skyrocketed. I appreciate that you are into space and astronomy, and that she is into math and the history of science. I once called this movie "nerd heaven" and I hope there can be more like it. I especially enjoy a science-based movie which clues us in on the thrill of scientific investigation -- if you've never seen 1971's Andromeda Strain, I recommend it. Thanks, both of you, for getting to this one.
this movie was pretty bland and basic
It's a completely fabricated one as well. Two of those women are the lightest looking Black women ever, and they purportedly never faced any kind of racism from NASA members whatsover.
Worked well with the Oscars enough. Sadly.
you're a dumbass if you think being LIGHT SKINNED black made any fucking difference to how they were treated
It was a shit film
sugreev2001 I highly doubt that. You don't have to get called the N word to experience racism. And just because they were light didn't mean they were white. It didn't matter back then, if you were any part black you got treated as such. They didn't get paid the same, never got credit for their work and even after all these years they were erased from the history books and put out of sight. As if what they did was not only groundbreaking for NASA. It was ground breaking for women, especially black women.
You can miss me with the "they weren't even oppressed that badly" argument because it's bull and ignorant.
It's nice seeing Sam on a review but I think this would have worked better if you guys were in the same frame. This setup feels like what you'd use for an interview.
Chris and Sam vids are SOOO GOOD!
That laugh at the end was like when the awkward kids gets a compliment from his crush and he has no idea how to take it! Ahah
It's cute that she still makes him feel that way.
So this will be a great movie to watch when a class has a substitute teacher, I remember when I was in school how small the selection was, by the time I graduated high school I could quote Remember the Titans.
They shot this interview set-up at different times - Chris in late December after a preview screening, then his wife in late Jan after watching a screener. Then they cut the respective footage together and it, somehow, made total sense. Well done guys!
Do a review for The Wailing, you'll be blown away by how good it is!!
Classy turning to address the camera "just between the three of us" style. Informative yet relaxed. Good work.
So that's it, huh? We're some kinda....Hidden Figures?
Captain Rogers Did-Did you just Will Smith me XD
I agree with everything you guys said. The director did say he wished he could have had more time with the families, but it was about the 3 ladies. I saw it, loved it and can't wait for my daughter to see.
Chris! Do an Oscar Nom video! Don't forget to mention Kubo and the 2 Strings :) I feel like those hollywood bigwigs don't even watch the animated movies and just go with the Disney choice.
Out of all the films that I've seen thus far that were nominated that year for the Oscars that year, Hidden Figures has impressed me the most. I found myself rather bored with Manchester by the Sea and Lion while with this I was riveted from beginning to the end and the general performances were excellent. It was great to not only see a movie that dealt with black issues which we've seen done many times before, but one that also dealt with it from a woman's perspective as well.
Absolutely LOVE this movie. It has a great message, it’s well acted and I also like the fact that it’s kid friendly. Kids NEED to see movies like this!
(Unfortunately?) I appreciate how maturely you two talk about prejudices in this channel whenever is relevant.
I love Octavia Spencer
Chris, when you watch a movie with your wife, do the review with her. its very cool to see you two talk about movies, its really exciting actually
The new two shots doesn't look natural...
By the way, I love your videos and your wife seems lovely. You're quickly becoming one of my favorite RUclipsrs!
The lovely Mrs. Stuckmann is here!
This is by far the best one and deserve an Oscar. Fabulous performances , great screenplay , has all the ingredioents we expect from an Oscar winner
So, still not review for Patriots Day?
Mick Jones
Patriots Day is far from patriotic. It's a cash grab capitalizing on a tragedy that is still fresh in the minds of the many people who experienced it. It's also an exercise in stroking Mark Wahlberg's ego.
+JonTron Did you actually see Patriots Day? It was a very well made movie and it did right by the people in Boston. Very respectfully made.
Lawrence Dockery
I saw it and I liked it fine. I am, however, expressing the sentiment that other people feel and I likewise share. If you think it's any less of a cashgrab because they didn't do something incredibly stupid, then you're hopelessly naïve. Also, who are you to say what did RIGHT by the people of Boston? The reception I've seen from actual Bostonions is mixed at best and uncomfortable at worst.
Well that escalated quickly
How many movies will Marky star in where he's at the center of a disaster being some made up hero? Didn't he say he would have punched the terrorists on the plane? I don't think Stuckman needs to start reviewing fantasy porn
Great review by you and Sam! Thank you for addressing the family-friendly aspect, which is definitely a plus. I hope movie studios will take note and make more PG films like this and less of the unnecessary PG-13's with the "obligatory f-bombs", just to give the false impression of being more serious or edgy.
PS: Also appreciate you being less swear-y as well. Maybe you should have Sam around more often?
Why is Sam dressed as if she's in the 50s?
RaidenFreeman she's Jewish, like religiously Jewish
+RaidenFreeman maybe she just likes that look?
RaidenFreeman why do you care are you a fucking fashion aficionado
@5:15 reminded me of Fant4stick, where they talk about the astronauts being a household name but the scientists are never recognized...lol
just made me smile a bit... :)
Chris your wife is amazing
My only complaint of the movie, and it's more of a nitpick, but there was one scene in it where they basically did the equivalent of the "pencil through paper worm hole explanation" trope to dumb things down for the audience. First off, everyone in the room were supposed to be geniuses, the best and brightest NASA could get. To have it dumbed down like that and have them asking redundant questions in such a toddler talk way on things that they clearly were already working on and knew just felt completely out of place. Secondly, it's a NASA movie! C'mon, expect more of your audience than that; besides, much of the math was already glossed over anyways and treated as magic because it's more focused on the history than the math anyways, so I don't know why they had to stick that in there. Plus, even with the dumbed down explanation, it still wasn't done well, nor was it crucial to the plot to understand it.
i am not a big fan of split shots... i want you two on cam together pls :(
I like how you guys casually disagreed on the amount of attention the romance should’ve got but didn’t acknowledge that you guys were disagreeing. Just both said exactly the opposite of each other and smiled and nodded at each other’s statements. I also love you and your wife it’s always nice to see you two making content together
Man. The movie is fine but I couldn't stop laughing at the thought of this being the perfect Oscar bait for 2016.
Love your reviews Chris. Although the framing in this one is a little awkward honestly. If you had a third camera to show a wide of both of you periodically it would be a little better. Or just set up one wide and have you both sit next to each other with just one camera. Just a thought. Keep it up man! You do great work.
I was not a fan of this movie leaving the theater and the more I thought I about, the more I really disliked it.
It feels so Lifetime-y to me. There was no drama, there was no suspense. I didn't sense the real racial tension because in the back of my mind I knew that it was going to end up okay.
None of the melodramatic moments they went for were actually earned. Especially when Katherine freaks out on Kevin Costner's character. There was no build up and tension between the characters to lead up to it. She just blew up. It felt misplaced. But maybe that's just me.
It was well-acted, although I really don't think Octavia Spencer turned in an Oscar worthy performance. I thought she was solid, not great.
I don't know, I just expect more out of a Best Picture nominee, especially since there were a couple other movies that deserved nods over this one (A Monster Calls, Silence, The Edge of Seventeen, etc)
Alex Bisel it was based on a true story. Did you want them to make up more drama and suspense to serve your interest, concerning entertainment, better?
First, I understand this is based on a true story.
However, if you don't think was condensed as far as time period was concerned and that the dialog was verbatim what they said in the 60s, then you may need a reality check.
Movies based on a true story commonly invent dialog for the purpose of the story. There's no way they could capture everything a person says in their day to day life and make a compelling story out of it.
The writers/director (actually one of the writers was the director) definitely could have done a better job at sequencing scenes and creating more tension.
I'm not talking about making up events but grounding scenes in reality rather than the melodrama they seem to have captured here.
And yes, I'm speaking specifically to the Oscar bait scene that Taraji has when she flies off the handle at Kevin Costner. It was over the top and unnecessary, especially when that character had never directly discriminated against her. If it was Jim Parsons, I would completely understand. But her anger at Costner was unearned.
Alex Bisel Grrr!! You stupid racist! You must hate black people if you didn't like this movie!!!! (sarcasm)
Alex Bisel I respect your opinion. However I believe the reason u might think that she blew up in his face out of nowhere is because she was finally letting out the anger she had been holding in ever since she started working there.
I kinda agree, I feel like it didn't get deep enough into anything like a kids version of someones life
They're not just female scientist they're Black and their race does matter hence the name of the movie. This review was annoying to me as a minority because both of you are missing the point of the movie. BLACK WOMEN being great in a White Male dominated world/field.
This movie was a pleasant surprise. I love space and science, so this was very entertaining as well as enlightening😀
is your wife jewish?
Mick Jones found the idiot
Yes
Mario Pendic b8 probably
Why dos she wear the headscarf thing on some days but not others?
Yep, she wears the Tichel for modesty.
Cool review, but sit side by side next time!
I loved it when you and Sam do a review together. It's nice to see borh perspectives.
Chris your camera angles between you and your wife are awkward and feels jarring. Maybe a wide angle would have worked better.
It's nice seeing Sam pop up from time to time.
So thats it huh?! we are some kind of Hidden Figures??
Please dont hate me!! 😅
More Sam... yeah! Thanks to Sam for doing some more reviews with Chris. I missed you. You add so much to your husband's channel... beauty, intelligence (not that Chris isn't of course), but you're an intelligent person for him to bounce off of. Please... whenever you have time... do more of these.
So thats it huh?? We some kinda Hidden Figures ???
btw i have just seen moonlight and it was fucking awesome i hope mahershala ali wins the oscar for best actor in a supporting role over michael shannon ..
michael shannon just plays some kinda crazy person , mahershala ali has a much more complex role , and he felt so real to me ... it was like i was watching a real person ... i never have that ... and his emotions were amazing....
but if you want an oscar these days ... playing crazy is the way to go..
But everyone in moonlight was amazing ..
they deserve certain oscars more than la la land ..
though the cinematography was really good in moonlight ( really good )
i would say that i would give the oscar for best achievement in cinematography to la la land this year , slightly...
I think Hell or Highwater guy should win, I thought he was outstanding
Jeff bridges ???
Nah the brother.
JoshTruff Jeff Bridges was the only actor nominated for that movie
I LOVE the fact that this movie doesn't have a political agenda. It doesn't pander to certain political issues that are happening right now, and considering the subject matter, it would have been easy and even justified in certain places. This is a textbook example of diversity done right, and I hope more studios follow in Hidden Figures footsteps in regards to having a diverse cast without getting political (which is becoming harder and harder for certain movies to do nowadays).
You two are a very nice couple.
Thanks for posting this Chris Stuckmann!
Talk to your audience man...not to each other if you are reviewing
it's cutee !! (:
asfdgdg why does that matter? Ebert and Roeper/Siskel and Ebert had one of the best movie review shows ever, and they talk directly to each other. The banter and their differing perspectives are part of the fun.
MJSpiderman7116 oh get lost you annoying rat
asfdgdg hahahahaha wtf
Its so great to see you guys doin reviews together!!😄🤘😃 Chris and Sam, John and Brittster..these kick-ass couples are what make me think I might have a chance of not being single until im 50 lol
I never realized your wife is from Boardwalk Empire!!! Lol
Hello Chris! I always love your reviews but never comment, sorry about that. This film is great and I love the review with your wife, it is great you brought a woman and coming from a different perspective, because she is into science and knew about the history and the events, made the review deeper and more complex!
One constructive criticism: It would be great to have at least one establishing shot with both you and Sam together so that we get the real sense you are in the same room and how the space is between you. You probably know that being an independent filmmaker yourself, but if it was me, I would like to hear this kind of feedback, that's why I decided to comment. Keep up the great work and bring Sam more often!
Cheers!
Did you watch Patriots Day??? please review it!! I fucking love that movie!
Favorite movie of 2017!
It's a fake story .
Avxx00 Oh, but I liked it's execution a lot, whether it fake or not
Who cares if you liked it, it was still propaganda bullshit .
Avxx00 ok dude, everyone has their opinions. I just want to hear what Stuckmann feels about it
I'm enjoying these "Stuckman & Stuckman" reviews.

i love whwn you review with guests (or Sam) since it makes twin points of view possible. i have to go see this one now before it leaves theaters
I loved it. Thanks for the review with Sam. I love your reviews. Sorry you have so many whiny racists subbed to you.
I enjoy this movie but didn't think it was anything amazing just like you said a feel good movie. It's always great to see your wife in reviews.
Better late than never 😊

Gotta love Michael Keaton fucking up at the Golden Globes.
