The Continental GT has possibly the best luxury interior in any car! It's just sooooooooo good looking and screams sophistication and money in a way the modern Rolls cars can only dream of despite their far higher price tags.
Look in the English dictionary and the definition of GT car is a picture of the Bentley Continental GT (I know it's not, but it definitely should be 😜)
Two comments: 1. A+ review all around. Appreciate the honest assessment of GT-centric pluses and minuses. 👍 2. James Bond is getting an Italian upgrade. Scandalous! 😎 🏴 🇮🇹
Why would you want to compromise on interior paying big bucks for that car.The Bently is probably best all rounder GT.May not be dynamic as Aston or Ferrari but it's plush and is comfortable for a 6 hr road trip.Interior is of top quality.
If I was going on a Grand Tour, I’d have to take the Bentley. A blissfully smooth journey, arriving as refreshed as when I set off. The other two, would bring out the hooligan in me and I’d end up the wrong side of the law and, no doubt, only manage to travel for a small part of the Tour before attracting the attention of the local law enforcement officers!
For true Grand Touring, the Bentley is the only real choice as it was designed to be a GT from the ground up. The A/M and Ferrari lean more towards sports cars due to their better handling dynamics and, of course, engine note (and lack of a usable back seat). If you want a 'cross-over' GT/sports car, one designed to do double duty, then the A/M and Ferrari do the job. By the time you get down the Roma, the back seat is more of a 'suggestion' more suitable for luggage and whatever the owner just bought at Gucci and Neiman-Marcus. The Portofino might have been a better choice for touring comparisons.
And the ride over long distances is just not gt enough. The steering is to quick, any input and it just darts across the road meaning your on edge constantly and the ride on even the smoothest of roads jiggles you around driving you nuts after 10 miles. Na it’s just not a gt car, it’s a car to go up against the 911 and Vantage, it’s an “every day sports car”
@Ragib I drove it and it is the most comfortable Ferrari but it is the least comfortable GT car. Too hard over rough road or bumps. My Jaguar XKR feels like a plush sofa in comparison.
Of all the review type channels I`ve looked at (and there's been a few) this was very good. I knew the outcome of `best car` in the order you gave and I`m sure those of us who look at these vids did too but the practical advice was great. Your personal choice of the Aston Martin threw me because I`ve heard such negative reviews of the car but still always wanted one. Now I just need to find the money.....
Those seats and the fast steering on the Roma would tire very quickly on a long trip so its not the full GT in my book. Bentley is the only full GT out of the 3. You'd get out the Bentley after 1000km feeling as fresh as you got in....could you say that of the AM or Roma?
my thoughts exactly , the outcome of this video was so predictable but in my eyes the Bentley takes this hands down and would most definitely be my choice .
I test drove all three and purchased a Bentley Mulliner GTC V8. Just got better and better. easily the best interior with so many features. Bends didn't exist with the 4 wheel drive computer assist etc. Grand touring exemplified. Aston was like a ford inside but looked good, harder to drive but fun! Ferrari, wife didn't like the driving position and it sort of felt small inside for a 'grand tourer' more like a sports saloon, but very precise. (How many will I upset lol - my opinion only) All great cars!
Fine comparison review, thanks! If Aston Martin can transform that dowdy, yestertech interior to something that rises to the sense of occasion that befits such a powerful, expensive car, they'll be back on top.
Decent review, thanks. Can I just say though...I know that the driving experience is the most important factor given 90% of the time there'll only be one person in the car, but as a car lover and particularly 4 seat Italian exotica...I want to see in the back...even if the seats are tiny, they make up part of the car, and especially in the Ferrari, they are a selling point.
They’re not remotely usable except for storage on a road trip, honestly. With my driving position (I’m 5’10), there’s like 4 inches of legroom in the back
Agreed, James. Even IF the back seats are 'child size', it's STILL a convenience to toss in an overnight bag, briefcase, laptop backpack, etc. without needing to get into and out of the trunk.
Let’s not be silly here folks. The Roma is gorgeous but got design ques from the AM, Although I’m a fan of the old gen Astons, the newer ones look good too but the interior lacks. But the Bentley is and will always be the most complete package here. And the road presence that these things has is unmatched. It’s a tank! It’s LEAGUES above those two, GT cars are about luxury and comfort as well not just sporty. And if you want to go over 200 mph Bentley has that too 🤷. Sorry folks not much competition here. Bentley is the top GT here easily.
WOW! What a wonderful review and comparison! I love GT cars and I don't know which I would choose if someone held a gun to my head. Finally Ferrari has made a beautiful car after over a decade of making most of their line with those awful sharp angles. This is their best looking in a long time! Thank you Matt Prior and your team on a wonderful comparison! Enjoyed it!
Main question is, what would the resale value be like? I think both the Bentley and Aston would sink like a stone. Albeit both would be much more liveable with then the Fezza.
It’s funny that for the vast majority of viewers, considering ownership of any of these wonderful cars would be the stuff of dreams. Once you accept that, it’s not too much of a leap to accept that in your dreams you can own not one but two or even three GT cars. Rather than which car would you choose to own one might ask which car would you choose to drive today? Great, informative and beautifully made video, as always.
Basically, this is a story about Goldilocks... I doubt I'd buy a GT if I could afford it anyway, but I kinda think the Aston nails the brief best. If I wanted sporty, I'd get a sportscar. If I wanted luxury, I'd get a luxury sedan. I dailied a Fireblade for 5 years so comfort isn't high on my priorities, sportscar for me hahaha. Very nice video, thanks. Very descriptive, and detailed 👍🏼
Aston interior looks pretty poor, especially when you consider how awesome TVR interiors were over 20 years ago, from a small company! (That said, I’d still chose the Aston)
That Infotainment screen in Ferrari looks like it's from a decade ago. Why not go for something like what Mercedes has done with their new s-class?.... Or the best is to remove the screen and keep the design lines neat... That will look timeless 👌🏻
Cause the Roma was designed to be their entry level car with mass appeal and to cater to said appeal, it needed to integrate what would be considered industry-standard tech. Pretty sure the exterior designer had no say. Was probably an afterthought to be honest. It looks low tech cause Ferrari doesn't throw much money into infortainment R&D (if any) and it most likely is not a proprietary unit. Cars are also subject to all sorts of shocks and temperature extremes so they probably needed a very durable unit.
@@NamelessGlasses true... It would have been much better if that screen can roll down or flip away like the one in Bently... That will be just perfect 👌🏻
Nice to see somebody holding a steering wheel correctly instead of that mildly comical way that you see now of the drivers right arm spragged out clutching the opposite side of the wheel. Good summary of each of the cars in the video.

Look in the English dictionary and the definition of GT car is a picture of the Bentley Continental GT (I know it's not, but it definitely should be 😜)
@@joebooth67 what are you trying to say?

1. A+ review all around. Appreciate the honest assessment of GT-centric pluses and minuses. 👍
2. James Bond is getting an Italian upgrade. Scandalous! 😎 🏴 🇮🇹
Love the 80s computer analogy in the Aston's interior
The Bentley's interior, the Aston's exterior and the drive train of the Roma.. That'll be the car for me
Bentley interior, Aston’s exterior, Ferrari chassis and drivetrain. 👍🏼
The reference to the ZX Spetrum with the Aston Martin was brilliant. Great video...Dolce Vita Ferrari 💯👍
Aston Martin AMR hits the best compromise for a Grand Tourer, I'm with you Matt !!
Why would you want to compromise on interior paying big bucks for that car.The Bently is probably best all rounder GT.May not be dynamic as Aston or Ferrari but it's plush and is comfortable for a 6 hr road trip.Interior is of top quality.
Surely the Bentleys the only actual GT car? room for passengers, AWD, looks beautiful and extremely comfortable.
Pity you didn’t use the new Bentley Continental Speed to see if they’ve upped their performance dynamic game compared to the other two.
bill : 700 Kg difference. the bentley will never ever come close to the roma dynamically.
It still won't be a Ferrari
@@TheBucketOfTruth And that might be a good thing... Depending on what you want from the car.
You can't because review embargo is on until the end ¾ this year.
@@lensoprezole5322 Given that it's a GT as apposed to a sportscar..
Another great road test Matt. I think the right car came out on top😁
Completely agree with you. Bentley is an is a straight-up GT.
I've sat in a Roma and frankly, for a GT the center console is quite off-putting. A pretty confining drive for long distance.
@ sorry Susie Dent, I didn’t realise I had to be “A perfect” when writing a RUclips comment
That one corner you kept showing must be very dangerous, grim reaper was patiently waiting for his next victim...
I’m with Matt on the verdict.
Having said that, for looks and sound it’s the Aston for me.
Why not just got for a Aventador?
@@javidrana3720 lol what.
@@rare6499Apologies, I meant why not just go for an Aventador!
@@javidrana3720 it’s a totally different category of car? No one would sensibly use one for grand touring.
Ferrari cheap interior
This is one beautiful lineup 😍...green BENTLEY,,,red FERRARI and white ASTON.. THATS HOW I'D HAVE THEM
The interior of the Aston is 20yrs old, real shame. I'd take the Bentley over the Roma, just
Love the ZX Spectrum reference 😂
My father's first computer was a ZX 81. The Spectrum was his second one.
Agreed
I’m an Aston guy and the Roma is the best looking car on the planet.
Bentley interiors + Ferrari engine + Aston body
that would be nice!
As a GT... the big Bentley without a second thought, all day and every day.
When it comes to elegant, refined and logical CAR TESTING, Matt Prior takes the cake!
I've enjoyed this review more than any that I can remember, and I've watched a lot. Well done!

Same shot.
Spotted it too lol

I'm sure most car review videos have a ton of re-used B-roll but this was very obvious because of the person in the shot
Nice ‘dodgem blue’ top, Matt! Great video as usual
The Bentley looked insane inside really out did the rest like he said
Great review!! I like your really detailed rendering of your personal observations. Thanks!
Enjoyed it!
One of the greatest things about the "goodwood festival of speed " was i always went to the Bentley stand and sat in one !
Video production levels really need improved to compete even against drag race channels.
Cool touch with the Bentley dash switching from naf ipad screen to analog dials.
Roma is just a beautiful car inside and outside
and I would choose Roma over those two
Well reasoned and sensible review - that’s why we can’t get enough!
Thank you.
There is something about the Roma I really like. Would have been nice to have a v8 db11 in this test
The Ferrari Roma looks like it got its design ques from the DB11
Great piece of automotive journalism ! Really enjoyed that
Aston interior looks pretty poor, especially when you consider how awesome TVR interiors were over 20 years ago, from a small company! (That said, I’d still chose the Aston)
The M8 deserves appreciation
Another excellent video Matt.
I take the Roma easy!! The best by far, mix between comfort and sportive i love this car!
Another great unbiased analysis keep them coming
DB11 has most innovative aerodynamics, such a great car 🔥
You are improving Matt, keep it up 👏🏼
BMW has had automatic seat belt extenders like that on the 3 series coupes for at least 15 years. It's not a special feature
Merc have had it on their c class coupe for 30 years.
Nice to see somebody holding a steering wheel correctly instead of that mildly comical way that you see now of the drivers right arm spragged out clutching the opposite side of the wheel. Good summary of each of the cars in the video.
I’ll just have them all thanks!😄
Kryten reviewing cars............awesome !!!!
DB11 AMR🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Outstanding video. Very well reviewed.
Ah the ZX Spectrum, whipper snapper…..I was more Commodore PET
