Bentley has taken the Panamera platform as a base for the continental and flying spur since the new models came out in 2018 or so (and the V8 and V6 hybrid). Only logical that it now gets the two chamber dampers and hybrid v8

There is wrong and right pronunciations of French words for both countries, generally though I find Americans try to pronounce things more authentically than people from the UK. I mean even "tacos" is completely butcherd in the UK, and it doesn't have any silent romance language letters like fillet. Also, burger refers to ground up meat in Hamburg, Germany style. A deep fried chicken breast between two buns is not a burger unless it is ground up chicken. It's a sandwich if the meat is not of Hamburg style.

Maybe when you have a Continental to play with for a few hours, you can casually ignore the shrunken boot, but it's now fractionally smaller than a Roma or a DB12's, making it even less likely it'll be used in the way its maker intended (it's a bit unbecoming to lob all your travel bags on the back seat). Which is a real shame, because I'd buy this precisely for its long distance credentials. Credit to Bentley though for continuing to offer a car in the most glamorous segment of them all.
The earlier editions of the Continental had a pretty good record in endurance racing. Bently stopped having a works team shortly after they reached 100 years old. That's unfortunate. I miss seeing them eat up the track while looking like they were going to eat the competition.

And yes, I know some will come and say that Genesis got inspired by Bentley, copied them, hired the same designer, etc. but the reality is that the Genesis design language has been out for almost 5 years now so Bentley has had more than enough time to reinvent. Their premiums command differentiation and this redesign is far from that.

I like the colour, it is very similar to the colour Jungle Green that Holden used on their VF Commodore range. In regards to the headlights, that line through the middle just looks so wrong.
I suppose the way Bentley benefits from the rise of performance EVs/PHEVs is that making over-two-tonne cars handle well enough is now an industry imperative... although, lest we forget that the old-money Brooklands Coupé of 2008 weighed 2700kg without any hybrid gubbins at all. So they're not being TOTALLY excessive with mass anymore, it seems.
I have a 2023 RS5 Vorsprung coupe...you can definitely see the shared DNA which is surprising, given my cheapy pleb's car & Bentley's upmarket positioning.

Makes me laugh, when the then new Continental GT came out all the journos praised its (relative) flat handling. Now, apparently, because there's a new one to shift the old one understeered like a dog. There's nothing elegant about those new headlights either.
We'll ignore the interior spec, but for me the Conti GT has been low-key the best car in the world for a while. I never used to like them during their footballer phase but that's been passed onto the Lambo Urus, and the Bentley seems classier again (some may disagree). If you're giving me just one car to do everything (especially living in the UK where driving can be stressful!), I'm probably taking a Conti.
