Awesome of you to point out the tortillas and highlight La Finca- great story, all 4 kids of the family now run and have made La Finca into the juggernaut that it is. Real Oakland Mexicans.
'Tacos mi es colima," on e.16th, and 28th ave, outside the corner store...my favorite, best salsa, all the side veggies are grilled instead of pickled...also, down the street from there, in the heart of the "dubs" on 23rd ave, is "los compadres" that has thee BEST "pollo ala plancha" which is a grilled half chicken ....comes with fries...super fire, unexpected 'Tacos mi grullo" on footthill and 27th ave...has all the things, but best known for Caldos (soups) ..they have a wide variety, and its packed on rainy days A few of my favorites that dont get much shine
Hes putting out some of the best tacos in the entire Bay and has put me on some of my other favorite spots too. Really for the people. Check him out and tell him I said wassup
lmao the struggle of the infamous choice between the right and left grullense truck...ngl main one was always the left..but right always got the short line 🤷🏽♂️

I've spent many yrs living in this neighborhood, getting so much joy from local fare. Corner of High and International is like taco world, heh.

@@HiDidYouEatYet Just saw that, right on! Gonna be fun to show it to some friends out here.
Have you been to Los Comales? It's also in Fruitvale district... across from Grand Lake Kitchen on MacArthur.
It's my personal favorite taqueria.

check out his IG for his hours right now. he’s having issues with the landlord over there, but I think he’s popping up this weekend in Alameda

The best place in the Bay to eat Mexican food is El Faro's (not the one in Oakland), but the one in San Fran (and slightly safer too)! lols
Love me some burritos from Farolito, many late night spents there too lol
