This song is in Deadpool and Wolverine I couldn’t believe it I love this song
Me neither! I was pleasantly surprised to hear it in the movie. Same went for Power of Love.
This song is the best .
I heard it too in there.
For those are watching Deadpool & Wolverine closely, you will know this song was playing in the movie when Deadpool and Logan were talking to each other in a bar scene
This is perhaps the greatest music video of all time... A total encapsulation of the era.
Cierto buen punto
Very true
I think so too, it's a romantic song by Huey Lewis & The News. I think the song is great.
I wish I had a Time Machine to be able to spend a month in the 80s
Random personal story about Huey Lewis. I have a 23 year old brother with autism and cerebral palsy, and many many years ago he wanted to go see a Backstreet Boys concert with my father. Unfortunately, all the tickets were sold out. My Uncle Chuck, who passed away in 2011, had some connections (apparently he was close friends with Huey Lewis) and through him, my brother got the tickets and got to go to the show. I never knew about this until recently, and I liked Huey Lewis before, but knowing he did that for my brother is so humbling. It’s almost unbelievable. THANK YOU HUEY
That is so Awesome💙
amen! that's really awesome of Huey!!
Awesome guy 🙂
Magic tear dropping ... bless .. from Aus.. love to you and your bro... and HL... bless
That's awesome thank you for sharing .

YES, I COULD HEAR THIS GREAT SONG IN THE BAR IN DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE ♥️💛
Gladly, there are two songs of Huey Lewis & The News in the Deadpool and Wolverine soundtrack. The other is "The Power of Love".
Deadpool & Wolverine movie is cooking!
Rejuvenating all these classic songs 🔥
My grandma was a dental assistant, and one of her patients was huey lewis. Having no idea who he was, she did her job and had a really pleasant conversation with him. Found out later who he was, said he is really nice and down to earth
He's well know to be a decent guy
@@BaronKimball LOL. I was at Moondance in 2004 and he berated some guy who wanted to propose to his fiancée on the stage. He may have been a decent guy at once point but thousands of people saw him as a raging asshole.
@@Thymus I'm pretty sure sporting events charge money for that.
For one good positive story there always is a vampire 🧛♀️ bringing in a negative one. Beware of vampires. They always will find negativity in almost every situation
That's nice. Tell your grandmother I said "You did a SUPERB Job"!
Song so catchy most people don't listen to the lyrics
True. This is actually a rather sad song, despite the Beach Boys-like doo wop harmonies and the melodic guitar by Chris Hayes.
Hell, Hayes' solo can make a grown dude cry and Huey knocked it out of the park! Probably his greatest (and one of the most emotive) vocal performance to date!
On a side note, I do agree Mr Bateman. And no, their masterpiece most likely wasn't 'Hip To Be Square'!
@@christosstamato527 One of the best leads ever.
Their early work was a little too new wave for my tastes, but when Sports came out in '83, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Elvis Costello, but I think Huey has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor.

The 80s.....sigh .
Who with proper taste dosen't ??
Mostly those in their teenage years, just learning about love & life... 15-18 years old.
There are certain 80’s songs that give me an overwhelmingly painful and bittersweet sense of nostalgia. This is definitely one of them
Ohhh yes..... : .(
So true!
I said the same thing in. This one and a few others from the 80's.
Yep...makes me think of my grandparents because I guess a lot of times when it came out...we heard it for some reason on the way to their house.

Hell yeah! Great time to be alive.
In the summer of 1984, "The Heart of Rock and Roll" and this song were very popular. But, "The Heart of Rock and Roll" was also popular in the spring of 1984 and this song was also popular in the fall of 1984. In the summer of 1985 came "The Power of Love" their biggest hit ever made which is, you guessed it. Part of the "Back to the Future" soundtrack.
@@CrystalClearWith8BE I can still see in my mind And remember the day in 1984" when I seen The Heart Of Rock In Roll video as a kid.😊
Ah yes, 1984--the best year EVER for pop music. That was the era of the titans: Michael Jackson, Prince, early Madonna, Cyndi Lauper, Bruce Springsteen, Huey Lewis, Culture Club, Van Halen, Duran Duran, etc, etc. There has never been a year quite like it, where all of the music meshed together so brilliantly. Yes, I'm a child of the 1980s (16 y.o. In 1984), and proud of it!

@@Pseudo___ill take the cold War over what we have today. At least with MAD the soviet union was containable and the world didn't feel like it was spinning out of control. You didn't have nuclear proliferation to terror groups, third world countries with ICBM's, teachers telling boys they can be girls and vice versa, you couldn't be tracked virtually everywhere, 4:38 no deepfakes, internet mobs, musicians were actual artists, you had social cohesion, the country wasn't politically polarized, we had national purpose and weren't deeply hated around the world. That’s because you were a kid/teen and had no responsibility or pressure.
And that why every generation thinks their years between birth to about thirty years old were better, adulthood and responsibility ruins every decade and makes the past week magic.
One of the coolest dudes of the 80s. Also some of the most bizarrest songs, yet superbly unique and like no other band. Can’t get much more 80s than this. Imagine an album where every song is miles different yet you know who it is immediately

No thank you. I don’t want to wait in line over a pay phone to hear stupid and angry conversations of breakups and exes. Though, they do make great stories over dinner.
Every day we drift further away from ourselves.
Pure California flavored pop do-wop perfection. Great musicianship, production values, lead vocal, lush-layered harmony vocals, and more hooks than a fisherman’s hat. As noted throughout these comments, the 80’s were a magical time for music and Huey and the boys were pure sonic bliss. Just a great example of how to make a great sounding record. I’ve heard this more times than I can remember but it still sounds fresh every time.

I was born in 1996. I grew up with my mother blasting 80s music. I thought it was silly when I was young. I now realize how good these times were. It seemed like everyone loved life so much more during that time period.
I'm 46 years old and was just a little kid when this was out. But this one if my moms favorite group. There's no other music like the great 80s😍
I was born in 1993 and I love 80s music
You're absolutely right my man. It was beautiful time bro. I'm 49 . I miss those times
I"ve come to feel bad for everyone younger who didn't experience any of the 70's or 80's, when I was a child and teen. I took this music for granted, I was into heavy metal during this time but would watch the video to look at the girls in swimsuits (no internet back then to see plenty of that). Life was, unquestionably, overwhelmingly more positive then than now. Sure, we had world issues to work on, but the effort was supported by everyone roughly the same...unlike now, where there is a very hard polarization and destruction of our entire culture and world happening before our eyes.
We never would've imagined life would be like this. It was supposed to get better and better. But it started going down hill musically around 1990, and then culturally in the 2010's...and with the political abuse of covid, is just getting worse, and worse and worse.
It is sickening to me that there are so many young people who are growing up and simply becoming accustomed to a world with so much innate negativity, and a media and culture that reinforces it every single day. My only hope is that people are beginning to wake up. I guess most importantly, realize what an enemy the media is above all else.
@@lenardjones1592 Is that you in your profile pic? Interesting comment from what looks like a black person...the media and powers that be would have us believe that things were horrible for you back then, and are only now beginning to get a little better thanks to BLM, etc. Would appreciate hearing your opinion, cheers.

This song takes me back to my teenage years I was having my ups and downs, girl crushes who didn't like me back and liking guys that dress like LL Kook J or Run DMC clothing with glasses on their faces. Later I had realized those girls. I had like in high school were not right for me to begin with. They had babies by guys that promise them the world of disappointments and not getting married to them at all. Thank God for bringing me to my senses. In Jesus name. Amen...
I thought the exact same thing and I'll add to the fact of the games the girls played during my teenage years even into young adulthood, string you along for a fake ride. Im great and blessed like you brother. Amen

Take care and be safe. Michael.
Thanks for your uplifting words. I must admit there are times where i want to throw in the towel in searching for the right one. I would like to talk to you more about it.
+Michael Mayfield, I am here for you. Michael. Don't give up. Michael. I am still single and searching for Mrs. Right in my life. First you have to be a friend to a woman to spend quality time with her. It is the only way of you knowing if she is right for you or if you two are compatible. Plus a lot of women have been hurt, deceived and lied by bad men in this world. A lot of women are confused between a righteous/good men or unfaithful/disloyal men in these days and rough/perilous times. Not only that it makes it hard for women to trust men at all.
I have learned a lot of women are attracted to bad men that live dangerously. Or you have good men are living right by taking life seriously than other men. Make sure a woman treat you good in front of her family members and her friends. A lot of women have a habit/intentionally of changing their personality(like the weather) in front of people like family members and friends. Please be careful and try to recognize the signs of a woman's attitude, facial expressions, body languages and actions around people by knowing if the love is true or not. Michael. One more thing before I end this message. Women love to spend money like crazyyyyy! on shopping or wanting be with a man with $$$$$$$ and a high price car and place of his own like expensive mansion, house or apartment.
***** Thank you for your prayers. It means a lot to me. Take care and be safe. Have a wonderful and peaceful week. God bless you too.
