    I’ve been using this product since it was released. I was really excited... but the more I use it the more I wish I got the 1440p model. It’s so much more pixels per inch.

      The size is what matter the most.
      And 102 ppi isn't horrible by any mean.
      And if you get the xp pen 24 pro .
      It's 23.8 inches at 1440p ( 121 ppi)
      Only 15,7 % more ppi.

    Been researching graphic tablets for about a week now after my Cintiq died :( Very little is clear in terms of professional opinion on this 22e. Some say it's great for beginners, some professionals say it's great for the price, others say that it lacks critical features for professionals and as a senior professional myself (maybe a little behind the curve in terms of technology but certainly not in terms of experience and skill level) I am left completely unsure - until this review, clearly you are no beginner so your experience of this really holds water for me - thank you

      It is a solid machine. The machines are just tools... I can make great art with a pencil. But...for the money...this tablet is a solid purchase. I also own a Cintiq 22hd and a Cintiq 21ux. The XP pen Artist 22 2nd gen is a solid contender. It has some qwirks...but for the money it is hard to beat.

    This is a great video. Out of curiosity why did you choose the XP Pen 22 over the Huion Kamvas 22? I was thinking of buying the Kamvas but I don't know which of the two to buy...

    I'm trying to upgrade my current setup which is a Wacom intuos with a normal laptop. I'm a professional artist who would like to try drawing on a screen. What have you noticed in all of your different setups as far as color goes when going to print? I've watched a couple of your videos. Initially I wanted to get a 2 in 1 touch screen and hope that the drawing is good enough on that. But it sounds like a tablet or an iPad pro is the preferred setup when it comes to fine detail for someone who's doing professional comic book art that will be printed? Ergonomics are also important to me. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks!

      I’m not really sure because everybody has a different style of creating art digitally. One person’s interface with an iPad is great and another person is terrible. I personally stick with one I’ve used for years and years and that’s a desktop attached to a large format display drawing tablet. Portables are nice and all but at the end of the day I want the power of the desktop, the sensitivity of a display tablet, and not have to worry about battery life. I own many portables, including Surface laptop studio iPad Pro 12.9., as well as mini laptops that you can draw on. Non-compare to my 24 inch Xp Pen 2K paired with my Mac mini. I have an occasion been forced to travel and carry a 16 inch tablet with me and pair it to a laptop. Good in a pinch of reality is I still have not found the perfect portable. The closest thing I can to was the HPZ book X2 G4, portable. It had Wacom tech, 4k screen, i7 with 32gb of ram and 2tb of storage. Good video card too. I sold it like a moron. Good luck!

    I had this model for 2 years, and shortly after the warranty passed, it completely died on me. I contacted XP-Pen, and they weren't much help. Only thing they did was offer a discount for another model. :-/

    • @MichaelClaridaArts
      @MichaelClaridaArts  10 месяцев назад +1

      Mmm…not a great experience. I have had my 24 pro for over 2 years and is is still going strong. I had a 2300 dollar Wacom 22hd start getting hot spots after 9 months. They would not replace it. I also had a Wacom mobile studio totally crap out…and it was after warranty…non replacement. Every product has a user experience that is unique to them. Not one brand is issue free. I am sorry your tablet crapped out. Was it the power supply? Sometimes you can get a new one. I had to replace the power supply 2 times on my Apple Cinema Display. XP pen makes a great product…but not perfect. But…still pretty good for the investment. I hope you find a solution:)

      @@MichaelClaridaArts Hey, thanks for the reply. It's nice to know I'm not the only one this has happened to. I will say they did give me a really good discount on the Artist 24 FHD. I was thinking about the pro model (they offered a bit of a discount on that one too) but I just don't have the $$$ right now. I reservedly went with their offer for the 24 FDH, but it's hard to have faith in their products now. I was seriously contemplating a Huion.
      I wish it had just been the power supply, (only $20 to replace) but it was still showing a green light and appeared to still be working. I asked XP-Pen what the cause might be, and if there's anything I could do to avoid this happening again. No reply about any of that. 😑 Thanks again! I sub'd to your channel by the way. :-)

    Hello, I have a question, is the performance of the tablet independent of the type of computer you have? In other words, if you had a "normal" computer or a "supercomputer", would the performance of the tablet remain the same?
    Does it produce "Lag" when you work with it?
    I have seen a video of yours with a Surface that produces lag.

    • @MichaelClaridaArts
      @MichaelClaridaArts  3 года назад

      The performance of the tablet is mostly is neutral and depends on the graphics card and the machine it is attached to. I do not have any lag due to the tablet. The lag comes from file size...brush size...application type...ram allocation...and processor power. My surface suffers from low ram...weak graphics card and windows issues. I had this attached to a Lenovo Yoga book...8th gen i7 with 4gb of video ram and 8 gb of ram and it runs great. So many variables...it is like a formula. What I have works for me and how I work. It may be fine now...but wait a year and new drivers may mess it up. We will see.

I am also not sure if you need a host machine that supports touch for a touch feature on a display tablet to work. You may need to do some more research:) The Dell unit looks nice. I know that Huion just released a 24” all in one desktop. Maybe that supports touch. I myself am not a huge fan of touch on my desktop. Old school habits.

      This is not indicative of XP pen. Their customer service is great. I only review their tablets. They are not scammers. Contact a representative and get resolution. I am sorry you have had a bad experience. I have had only good experiences. I hope you get it resolved. You say it did not work. Did you install the drivers correctly? Did you use a host machine? What operating system were you using? These are all factors. I hope you get it resolved.

      @@MichaelClaridaArts Hello, For me the experience has been terrible. Of course I installed all the drivers, I tried several operating systems and nothing, the Tablet was damaged from the factory. Subsequently, I have been trying for a month to get them to give me a solution, I sent them the broken tablet and I don't know if they received it, and I have neither tablet nor money. This week, if I don't have an answer, I'm going to go to the relevant authorities to file a complaint because this is a scam.
