There are actually a number of prominent derms and influencers lately that have started a pushback and said the whole fragrance free is an overreaction and kind of roll their eyes at people who only choose fragrance free. I know they say fragrance allergies are rarer compared to the whole population, but everyone has the potential to develop fragrance allergies down the line with prolonged usage. Especially since everyone is now consistently using multiple skincare products. I’m so for the fragrance free movement and more products being made because our only choices would have been limited to only Cerave if there wasn’t any demand for it lol.

The ceramide moisturizer is amazing. I don’t find it sticky at all, I have combination skin and it helped my dry spots Immensely but didn’t leave me with oily skin.
Dove has a new body wash that is fragrance free!!! 😍 it’s like the Deep Moisture one except it’s fragrance free and even has petrolatum!! Its the : “Dove Irritation Care Body Wash for Dry or Itchy Sensitive Skin.” It has The Eczema Approved seal as well.
I love the Cetaphil Gentle Clear cleanser for my mature skin. I think salicylic acid is a valuable ingredient even for non-acne prone skin, but most of the cleansers are way too drying. Just be sure to put this on dry fingers to apply to the face, otherwise it will slide right off your finger and down the drain. It's that thick.

A stumbled upon the Cetaphil Gentle Clear Cleanser recently and have been enjoying it on my dry-ish skin in the AM before Vitamin C. This is the only Salicylic Acid cleanser I've ever tried in a cream vehicle, instead of gel, and it's really nice!

This morning, I tried the Cetaphil Gentle Clear SA cleanser and Mattifying acne moisturizer on one side of my face to see if my very reactive skin was going to tolerate it. It did! The next test will be on more sensitive areas of the face. Very encouraging. FYI the mattifying acnes moisturizer is MATTE, which I love.
I agree on the Pacifica ceramide cream. I got it because Target was out of the Cerave skin renew night cream, and the benefits seemed comparable. I like it, but Cerave's feels more emollient and occlusive, and I find myself using more of the Pacifica cream to get the same feel. The Pacifica cream has a texture more like the e.l.f. Happy Hydration cream without the polyethylene, which is nice.

I use panoxyl benzoyl peroxide wash day and night (mainly for closer comedones) is that okay? 🥺 AM: panoxyl wash, the ordinary caffeine solution 5% + EGCG serum, then spf of course ❤️ PM: panoxyl wash, neutrogena HA serum, moisturizer, (let it all dry) then differin adapalane.
The Neutrogena system is similar to how dermatologists prescribe retinoids. Retinol at night, bpo (or other antibacterial, usually clindamycin) during the day, and a gentle cleanser. If only bpo didn't bleach fabric I would use this as a daytime leave on.
@@vetsai8199 You can use Benzoyl peroxide as a spot treatment but it may bleach some fabrics. Especially if you're in a hot climate, I would apply it as a spot treatment and then put a hydrocolloid acne patch over the top, if you're worried about the treatment spreading all over Willey Nilly.

Btw, Target makes bpo resistant sheet sets. I have them but never tested out by rubbing some directly on them. No bleached spots yet though
I tried the Pacifica Vegan Ceramide in the lotion (the tall bottle). It was a little sticky as well so I just used it on my hands instead. Well, it really does something for my hands...so soft, and my nails look so healthy. So I guess I found a new hand lotion although kind of expensive for that use.
I recently used the eye patches, and O. M. G. My under eyes have never been so happy!! I started using that serum from the bag on my face and I am now super disappointed that it isn’t sold separately. Pacifica, if you’re seeing this.. PLEASE sell that serum. I will buy it till I die. My sensitive, acne prone skin is begging you.
I have loved the Pacifica purple line and have kept going back to it for about a year now. I have eczema, and oily skin with sebaceous hyperplasia. Difficult to find products for this combination and these have been very gentle and effective. The texture in the ceramide cream was different at first but it has calendula in it and I contribute the texture to that ingredient which I specifically chose this product for. Just my two cents.
I've actually been using the new cetaphil salicylic moisturizer for a few days now and i think it's drying. I put on a thick glob of it so my skin doesn't feel so tight. I do think it's been helping my with blackheads and breakouts tho. But I worry about using too much of it, which is why I've been considering the peach slices one since you said that one is more moisturizing.

That Neutrogena 2.5% benzoyl peroxide has done wonders for me! I was pretty shocked lol. I know that smaller percentages can work the same or even better (because of less irritation), but my mind always wants to tell me to go with the strongest % possible.

I've been using Albolene to remove sunscreen and looooove it. Found it thanks to Dr. Dray. It runs about $10 for a tub, but I've found it to be more economical in the long run because straight mineral oil is so messy. The Albolene is solid then warms up in your hands (and sooo soothing).

I've been using the Albolene for ages and it's SO good for removing makeup, especially waterproof. I actually found out about it when listening to a video years ago where several drag queens were talking about using it to quickly and easily remove very very heavy drag makeup. The stuff just melts makeup off your face. A big tub lasts a long time as it doesn't take very much to get the job done, with no harsh pulling on your skin.
Fragrance free is the main criteria I use to shop for products across all categories of skin care or makeup items. Other things I won't use on my rosacea-ravaged face are retinol/retinoids, salicylic, AHA/BHA, Vitamin C, witch hazel, and chemical sunSCREENS. SPF must be mineral-based sunBLOCKS. And don't use shea butter moisturizer on your face if you're going to use a silicone primer.
From what I’ve heard they are very expensive and over-hyped. I’m sure many of Dr. Dray’s drugstore recommendations will do the same thing for less money!
I've been using Differin 0.1% adapalene on my face and the Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle repair cream on my neck at night. I thought the Neutrogena might be a good product to start with on my neck area idk. Any thoughts?
The Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair Cream works great on the neck, and chest. I have very sensitive skin, and have no problem with it. A lot of people use it in these areas, and retinol or tretinoin on their face. :)

If you don’t care about fragrance that one is actually pretty good. I have oily skin and I’ve used it for awhile now and it feels pretty good on the skin.

Neutrogena just launched a Salicylic acid cleanser for the stubborn acne line! It has AHA and PHA's in it, fragrance free too. You should review it.

I've been using Albolene to remove sunscreen and looooove it. Found it thanks to Dr. Dray. It runs about $10 for a tub, but I've found it to be more economical in the long run because straight mineral oil is so messy. The Albolene is solid then warms up in your hands (and sooo soothing).

I've been using the Albolene for ages and it's SO good for removing makeup, especially waterproof. I actually found out about it when listening to a video years ago where several drag queens were talking about using it to quickly and easily remove very very heavy drag makeup. The stuff just melts makeup off your face. A big tub lasts a long time as it doesn't take very much to get the job done, with no harsh pulling on your skin.
Fragrance free is the main criteria I use to shop for products across all categories of skin care or makeup items. Other things I won't use on my rosacea-ravaged face are retinol/retinoids, salicylic, AHA/BHA, Vitamin C, witch hazel, and chemical sunSCREENS. SPF must be mineral-based sunBLOCKS. And don't use shea butter moisturizer on your face if you're going to use a silicone primer.

From what I’ve heard they are very expensive and over-hyped. I’m sure many of Dr. Dray’s drugstore recommendations will do the same thing for less money!

I've been using Differin 0.1% adapalene on my face and the Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle repair cream on my neck at night. I thought the Neutrogena might be a good product to start with on my neck area idk. Any thoughts?

The Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair Cream works great on the neck, and chest. I have very sensitive skin, and have no problem with it. A lot of people use it in these areas, and retinol or tretinoin on their face. :)

I think the lightweight Neutrogena retinol (for acne) would be good to apply to my chin & nose... and then apply the (fragrance free) Rapid Wrinkle Repair to the rest of my face and neck.

I find myself reaching for pyunkang yul at night when I know I need extra moisturizer, even over my other moisturizer. It's become a staple. I'll definitely repurchase.
I have dry/sensitive/acne prone skin. Should I use a regular moisturizer AFTER using the Cetaphil SA Moisturizer or would that be enough? I use the CeraVe moisturizing cream right now.

Elf just released a ceramide gel moisturizer that looks AMAZING for oily skin but it has fragrance 😪 With my rosacea that is the only thing putting me off from getting it
If you don’t care about fragrance that one is actually pretty good. I have oily skin and I’ve used it for awhile now and it feels pretty good on the skin.
How do you feel about about the elf holy hydration cream? Of course the fragrance free one 🙂

Hi Dr. Dray! I struggle with normal to oily skin and I’m new to the “acne struggle bus” as I have acquired some new adult acne. I’m attempting to find products/regimens that would be beneficial for me and my newfound skin condition. I’m wanting to try the Cetaphil moisturizer, but wondering if I can use this along with Differin Adapalene gel. If so, how would I use both of these together? Suggestions on proper use?
