Awesome video, I love watching lockouts! One thing - it would be great if you added a part before the match before posting it as video where you say what each objective is. I think it would help the audience understand the race better. Keep making epic content!
I mean, they use a fairly standard lockout board that others can access (don't ask me how since I've never looked myself,) so that's really something that the viewers should be willing to research themselves if they're actually that interested 🤔
The problem with that is that reading and parsing the board is part of the challenge. They need to do that live. If CJ wants to explain the board that would need to be a separate thing and that's not in the spirit of the quick editing style of this channel.
a one-off a challenge you should try could be a reverse lockout bingo. this is where you have to avoid doing the goals on the board. the person who has the least amount of goals completed wins. it could be a really fun strategy deciding where you need to plan how you are going to get moons in future kingdoms. this is obviously just a rough idea but im sure it could be worked into something a little bit challenging edit* maybe it could be combined with talkatoo% or a randomiser to make it a bit more difficult

I think it would be really cool if you did an SMO lockout with less straightforward tasks, like instead of "collect 10 chest moons, collect 30 purple coins, and buy an outfit in seaside", you could have "talk to every NPC in sand kingdom, get a moon blindfolded (starting from the previous moon), and swim in X kingdoms (most kingdoms have water)". These types of tasks require thinking about elements of the game in a new light. How populated is Tostarena? What are the two closest moons? Does Metro Kingdom have water?
This video was SUPER fun! I was rooting for you, you did awesome! Do you think you'll ever do a 3-way race of this with you, Smant, and Fir? Your trio streams are always my favorites, they're extremely enjoyable. I always made it a point to watch the soullink streams even though I honestly know jack shit about the pokemans haha. The three of you have really fun banter together.

I actually personally prefer text based UI on the bingo boards... It makes it easier to follow as a casual SMO fan. That's really minor though. Again thanks for even uploading stuff like this 😁

Would be curious to see what kind of routing you come up with on the spot, and completing a goal that would save time for you will allow your opponent to potentially take a faster route
