If Elvis only would know that his man here is still playing wow, thank you for your time Mr. Burton for playing with our so missed and beloved Elvis. Just for the record, you look so good then there in Hawaii doing your playing when Elvis did the Aloha concert in 1973. It's yes good to see you being alive but at the same time it is sad to see you because seeing you, Elvis is coming alive in memories about what kind of man he was and always will be. Never again, we will have another Elvis on this earth and never we will have another Mr. Burton who is the best player ever so again, good to see you but at the same time so sad to see you because seeing you Elvis comes to memory of how it was then when life was good.
Thank you for your comment, not everyone knows who the great James Burton is! And yes there will never be another KING. I never had the opportunity to see Elvis, but he certainly changed my life. I have been a guitar player since my mother first put a 45rpm Hound Dog on the Zenith :-)
Scotty Moore, lead guitarist did a great job! My dad bought the 45 rpm after he got off work and brought it home.On that afternoon he played it. So in early 1975 of that year I became a fan too. Thanks Dad RIP. Thanks Michael Ferruci !
Very nice. There was a video on RUclips years ago which was a live performance of this song with Emmy Lou and Charlie Louvin. If you could find that and put it on RUclips, I would be very grateful!
Pretty ridiculous that the dudes lucky enough to be on this gig don't know the goddamn tune, one of the finest pieces in the Louvin Brothers catalogue and a veritable hit for Emmylou.
Letting everybody know the court progression as in a one, four, five progression if this is a simple and predictable and typical of a country music song
He was telling the band that the progression of the song was a “1, /45. Obviously members of that ensemble were not familiar with that song! The 1-4-5 chord progression consists of . The numbers 1, 4, and 5 are basically there to give an outline of the movement of the root note of the chords.

Even the pro's can kick off a song too fast.
Good guitar solo. Just the band didn’t gel for that song.
