What is the gauge for this pattern, including the needle size, what were the measurements of the finished project blocked, and how many yards of yarn did you use? I want to make it for an adult.
I do not remember the gauge and the needle size I used for this project The width of the scarf depends largely on personal. A skinny scarf can be fun and enjoyable when the weather isn’t too cold. A wider scarf is warmer for the winter. Traditionally, a scarf goes tip to tip. To do this, try holding your arms out so that the scarf reaches from your left finger across to your right one. On average, this scarf will be about 60" long. So, if you going for a 60” long scarf, look at the gauge instructions for your yarn and work it backwards on how many stitches you need and how much yarn. Hope that helps.

I can't tell from looking at the picture...are you starting at the narrow end of the scarf or a long cast on lengthwise? If I were more of a knitter I probably would know 😉 I have crocheted for charity for years...and I think I'd like to do some knitted scarfs as a change up. Thanks for your share...and I subscribed 🤗

I do that so that the first row is easier to knit. Otherwise. The cast on is to tight abs makes the 1st row harder to knit. Try it and let me know if you think it makes the first row easier to knit too!

Remember to do in multiple of 4 plus 2 stitches for the edge. The 10 stitches I did in the video is just to demo the pattern. Thank you.

This was a pretty thin yarn. Probably a US size 4-5 is probably what I used. What does the label of your yarn tell you to use. With this texture, I would use the needle size that the yarn skein suggests.
For adult scarf I usually aim for 8-10 inches finished width. So the number of cast on depends on how thick your yarn is. Do you have a gauge estimator on the tag of your yarn. That would give you a good idea of how many stitches you need to cast on for 10 cm. Note most tag indicate stitches in CM and not inches.

It depends on the yarn you use. Look at your yarn label. I think for this specific yarn I used, it was a US size 7 or 8 label. I used a slightly larger needle than the label said since my daughter wanted it light and not dense and heavy. Thanks

I think for this small scarf, I did 6 repeats of the pattern 6 x 4 stitches = 24 stitches plus 2 edge stitches so total of 26 stitches.

Length of scarf
This was done for my daughter and I made it 50 inches long. For myself, I would make it wider and about 63-65 inches long
Can you use varigated yarn for this.
I think this would be absolutely lovely with variegated yarn. It will make the finished scarf look at lot more integrate! Lovely idea.
