@benjijkmusic Glad you like what we do! The T2i has a limitation of 4GB or 30 minutes, whichever happens first. Once the limit is hit, video does stop recording for a few seconds until you can start again. I find that in 1080/30P/24P or 720/60P you should get about 12 minutes before hitting the limit. As far as overheating the sensor, we have not tried to push the camera to a dangerous limit. I balance shooting about 50/50 between recording and not, and I have had no problems. Jordan @ TCS
@blakeasgod18 The T2i shoots 18 Megapixel stills at 3.7 FPS. It shoots 1080P HD video at 30 and 24FPS. It also shoots 720P video at 60 FPS for slo-motion work. If you are looking for a camera that shoots stills faster, the 60D shoots 5 FPS, and the 7D shoots 8 FPS.
@RedPanther1 Chris attached his toothbrush to the hood of our wide angle lens, and brushed with the camera. You can do the same thing with any wide angle lens.
@trerell91 All you need is a wide angle lens, with it's hood, and liberal amounts of gaffer tape. Just tape the toothbrush to the bottom of the lens hood and brush your teeth with the camera! Now it was a bit easier for us because we used a prime wide angle lens with no zoom, it might be difficult to hold everything together if the lens is zooming on you. Good luck!
@XxGamingTheGamexX We just used a Manfrotto Super Clamp and geared head. You can see the bar we mounted the camera to when Chris leaves the car in the opening.
@MsJas666 The stability solely depends on the lens you use. The kit lens provides decent stability for static shots, but for walking shots, I would use either a higher end lens or stabilizer like the Glidecam HD1000.
@itschipclip Depends on the perspective you want. On a 1.6X crop, the 28mm gives you a nice neutral perspective that is easy to hand-hold. The 50mm gives you a little flatter perspective with shallower depth of field. It is a tougher lens to handhold though... Jordan @ The Camera Store
To take a B&W photo push the picture styles button (The down button) and select 'Monochrome'. This will shoot a B&W JPEG. I recommend shooting your images in colour and converting them to B&W on your computer if possible. Then you always the colour version to go back to. I hope this helps. Jordan @ The Camera Store
@lapdog379 We used the Ef-S 60mm for our close-ups. It's a wonderfully sharp lens with a good focus throw. If low-light is a factor, I'd look at the new Tamron 60mm F2. It's a stop brighter than the Canon lens, and gives you the same magnification. I haven't tested it yet, I'm looking to try it on our next Canon camera review.
@GAboy3030 A Class 6 memory card is the minimum for recording long video clips. The class of SD card will be indicated by a small number below the capacity, like a tiny 4, 6, or 10. You need Class 6 or higher for T2i video. -Jordan @ The Camera Store
@thatniggbeme7 I use Final Cut, and export the video as a 'High Quality' Quicktime file, with H.264 compression at 1280X720P. The quality is great and the filesize stays small this way.
The swivel screen is really useful for video and macro. Also, you get audio control when recording video. If you'll be shooting much video (and I would assume so from your username), go T3i. Jordan @ The Camera Store TV
@keembro A 50mm is a great lens for the shallow depth of field we emphasized. The 55-250 IS is a good option if you need a little more telephoto reach. Thanks for watching and commenting!
@TheoO18. We used three primes, a Zeiss 50mm F1.4, A canon 14mm F2.8, and a Canon 60mm F2.8 macro. No post processing was done to the images. The footage was shot at 30p. Thanks for watching!
@JakePanosh We used a 14mm F2.8 lens and strapped the toothbrush to the hood. You can do this with any wide angle lens, just pre-focus the lens to its closest focus distance. We look forward to an explosion in dental maintenance shots. -Jordan of TheCameraStoreTV Fame
@TheCameraStoreTV OK. Awesome. That is really good to hear actually. Thank you for the info. I must have MisUnderstood what you guys were saying. sorry. The T2i has just made another sale. Im super stoked about the 60 fps.
@TheCameraStoreTV Thank you! I'm looking very forward to see the sample video. I would just like to know if it will be worth the extra $300. The T2i is a great camera too though... It just depends on if you know how to use it. I do lots of sport/event photography so i wanted more FPS.
I just bought the rebel T2i while in Alaska. I took landscape photos of the Chugach Mountains in Anchorage. The picture quality is unbelievable! Well, it is to me considering I upgraded from a small 3.5 MP camera. I should have bought it as a bundle deal with an extra 18-250 mm lense.
@TheCameraStoreTV...I have this camera (Canon T2i) and it's very nice. I'm looking for a nice lens for low light and close ups.. Just like the videos you did.. Any recommendations would help..
well shot, this is exactly what i was looking for. i am considering getting one, mostly for video and this is a great example of what it can do. thanks for sharing!
I have had a DSLR for almost 2 years and i always take pictures and i have gotten very much in to it. I do alot of sport, macro, and portrait photography and i will be getting in to filming once i get the new camera. I've been looking at this camera for awhile now, but the Canon EOS 60D is yet to be released and do you think i should wait for the 60D and another few months to get the money for it and a new lense (not the kit lense) or just go ahead with the 550D?
I'm looking at this camera, and i have a few questions. I am a photographer and videographer, and a horse racing nut. How would this camera do shooting pictures and video at the horse racetrack? It is capable of handling and capturing fast images like that? And most imprtantly, are the videos and pictures compatible with Sony Vegas? Thanks(:
@pwsnow92 The T2i is worlds better than the T1i for video recording. You get standard framerates, manual exposure controls, and a microphone jack. If you are interested in video, it's definitely worth looking at the T2i.
@MsJas666 Check out the Sanyo Xacti series. They shoot progressive video straight to easily editable Quicktime files, and give pretty substantial manual controls. The CG10 can be had for well under $300. Check them out at our website.
In the first shot of him waking up, what is the effect called when the camera blurs out the background, and when he gets closer to the camera it is clear ? Thanks
@mike123beck123 We're just waiting to get a sample of the 60D to test out, but based on the specs, it looks like a very nice intermediate camera. The handling is much nicer than the T2i, it's a bit faster, and should provide the same great quality. The video quality is unchanged, aside from the addition of manual audio control, and a new swivel screen. Keep an eye on this channel, we'll have a 60D video up shortly. -Jordan @ The Camera Store
i hear ya on the high definition (18 megapixel resolution). but i dont think this camera is what im looking for. correct me if im wrong, but it is only 3.7 fps. i am looking for something that is going to not skip from frame to frame when i ramp slow motion my clips. is it good for fps????
hi my footage looks great on the LCD but then looks like crap on youtube..what export settings should i be using in sony vegas to achieve the kinda quality?
@TheCameraStoreTV how come when i adjust my f stop the exposure meter beside it doesn't follow but in your video it moves as you adjust the aperure? thanks.
A cheap decent lens is a Canon 50mm 1.8 With 1.8 as a F-Stop and only for 100 dollars? Its a cheap great lens. I have taken great shots with the 50mm combined with the T2i.
hey guy go a question i just got a nikon d7000 that says it is weather resistant does that mean it can handle some salt water or would that rust the mount like most metals i can see the mount once i put the lens on still so some water could touch it
this is how reviews should be done. First you show what the camera is capable of, then you back it up with how you did it. Great work guys!
I am still using my 550d in 2019.
Zulf Photography me too
@@Comikeros I use it mostly as a live stream cam9now with the free Canon webcam utility tool
How about now?
@@openroadtravels181 yes took it for a shoot yesterday filmed it will be out soon

@roborovskihamsters The opening TCS theme music is The Legend by Platinum Alibi. The music used in the T2i short was a Garageband loop.
@Bikni221 Yes, the T2i does shoot 720/60P. Sorry for missing this.
@MsJas666 You can only connect the camera to a computer with the USB cable which is included. You need an HDMI cable to connect to an HDTV.

That means that highlight tone priority is enabled. This feature helps smooth the transitions into overexposed areas.

Same here. Quality is outstanding
Thanks for the good video. I decided to order one of these myself. Can't wait to get it.
i plan on getting this camera and a vivitar fisheye lens and i was wondering if that would affect the quality of the video in any way.
quick question. How did you mount your camera on the toothbrush. id really like to learn how!
would you suggest getting the t2i over the t1i based on the ability in the video recording aspect? i enjoyed the video btw!

Great video. Love your car. but how come the video quality looked so bad when u got into the store?
@TheCameraStoreTV You guys should do a video on the Nikon D3100!
@pwsnow92 The T2i is worlds better than the T1i for video recording. You get standard framerates, manual exposure controls, and a microphone jack. If you are interested in video, it's definitely worth looking at the T2i.

have you done any color corrector or is it just raw footage?

yay!!! this camera is under the christmas tree for me!!!!!! :)
How,do you have such good quality when you put it in RUclips for me it lessens the quality to 360p
Great vid, I'm torn between this and the 7d. Both have the same sensor but the auto focus performance on the 7d is to die for is what I'm hearing.
great review thank you !

Is the swivily LCD screen that useful on the t3i? I'm thinking of getting a T2i but I odn't know if it's really nessesary to upgrade to t3i.
hello, what the name of the primes lens you use for the video quality, thank you

I don't know what it's called, but the effect is fairly simple. Just focus close and let the subject move to the place where the camera is focused.
What lens should I get if I were to shoot a twilight sort of film? By the way is there any way of knowing how a lens will look? Im new with DSLRs
@2602SUNSET compatible with imovie '09?
is this camera compatible with iMOVIE '11
and the upcoming FINAL CUT PRO X?
Is it safe to assume the video was all raw footage and there wasn't any color correction or stuff like that?
hi my footage looks great on the LCD but then looks like crap on youtube..what export settings should i be using in sony vegas to achieve the kinda quality?
Is this the same camera that's $850 at best buy? It seems like the quality's too good for that price.
I liked the camera view of you brushing your teeth. Very clever. Just glad you didn't film anything else. :-D
great vid. thanks!

i love the camera
How much was your camera?
I love those kinda belts
love it but i'm such a noob!!!... can I even take b&w stills with this thing?????... can't find it...geez
is it full frame?
how does it pick up sound
