In 1851, Sir Edwin Landseer created an oil-on-canvas depiction of a stag in the Scottish Highlands called, "The Monarch of the Glen." An instant masterpiece, the painting was extremely popular through the 19th century. In 1919, John Dewar and Sons purchased the painting and hung it proudly. Almost a hundred years later, master blender Stephanie Macleod used the painting as inspiration for a rare and special whiskey.
DEWAR'S 15 Blended Scotch Whisky is a blend of
very rare vintage single malt and single grain scotch
whiskies. The blend is then married in oak casks for
    a light, velvety finish.

I have no idea why this popped up in my feed. However, I enjoy Dewar's. Far more than I should, and for the price, I think this is a great blended Scotch. Thank you for walking through this. I did get a bit more raisin than you, but not bad. Cheers!

Hi Guys when I searched for Dewars 15 noticed that this video has been REPOSTED to another channel, went to that channel and all the videos on the channel (49 so far) are yours! Channel name is "Jason Podolsky" if you search Dewars 15 you will see it, right next to yours. Wanted to let you know so you can file a claim with Google to get this channel taken down.

Sorry guys, but I get the notes of sherry in my snifter glass, and the overall impression is that of a cinnamon raisin bun with drizzled caramel topping. Very nice dram!

I enjoy it, $50 duty free at the USA-Canadian border for a liter.
A step up from the 12. On par with Johnny Walker Black IMO.

I'm not the most experienced scotch drinker, but this is the best damn blended scotch I've ever had.

+jordanaug81 ..This one is definitely good and smooth! I got this one after having the Dewars 12 year blended which is very good also.

+Scotch Test Dummies My inexperience really shows when I tell you that I've never had the 12 year. J&B Rare, JW Black, Red & Double Black and Chivas Regal are among the few that I'm familiar with, and none were truly enjoyable. This 15 year version blew me away! Yes very smooth, and sweet, almost bourbon like sweetness. Fantastic scotch that I'm sorry is only a limited offering.

    Hey Guys:
Another member of the Dewar's Family, Enjoyed a glass of Aberfeldy 12 yr. old tonight; here are my impressions.
Aberfeldy 12 yr. old Highland Scottish Single Malt Whisky
    6/01/19
    40% ABV
I poured the whiskey into a jar and back to the bottle; poured a glass and also left the bottle open. The bottle and glass sat for 30 minutes to open.
COLOR: Medium Brown many legs running variously, one very slowly.
    NOSE: Sweet Honey Hard Candy
PALETTE: Floral arrival, a hint of candy sweetness in the background, with spice rising as I swirl it. There is a very light mouthfeel.
FINISH: Spicy mixed with a candy sweetness, resolving to dryness and a mouthwatering sense.
With 1 drop of spring water
NOSE: A Floral note which transitions to a rounded light honey sweet note.
PALETTE: A Lighter Floral arrival. The mouthfeel is about the same. Pepper tingles the roof of my mouth as I let it sit; yet the floral note lingers. There is a drying sense as I swirl it around.
FINISH: Very Spicy, mouthwatering resolving to a spicy dryness on my tongue.
I have enjoyed this glass. Aberfeldy 12 has been on my list for a long while and it is a pleasure to try it. I needed to get a Scottish whisky for spring and summer and this fits the bill. It has a pleasant combination of Floral and Fruit notes neat and water brings out the spiciness in the palette. A very nice warm weather dram. Recommended.
After I opened the bottle, I poured most of it into a jar and then poured it back. I did it twice. I did it with the expectation that it would open the whisky up more quickly and I think it worked.
    Mike

If 'They' referee to the Dummies I will agree that we don't always know what we are talking about...but we know what we like and can articulate what we discern while not taking our selves or our whisk(e)y too seriously...ok time to go put on a funky hat
