There is a Ghoul/Feral Ghoul quest in Fallout 1 where you need a chicken as a quest step. These writers really know Fallout.
i just know Lucy maxed out Charisma in her S.P.E.C.I.A.L.
funnily enough, she's been added to Fallout Shelter recently and her S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stats there list her charisma at an average 5. her highest stats are actually luck and perception, followed by endurance, rest are average.
which tracks, honestly. she failed nearly every speech check she did lol. i'd say she tagged her speech but her actual charisma is not that high.

so i rewatched it yesterday with friends and they said maybe Dane did it themself to avoid the wasteland. I didn't even consider that as an option.

I'm pretty sure he did it himself out of jealousy. His moral stances are not great, he killed his knight later without any doubts.
I found the basketball thing at the brotherhood of steel barracks super funny. They're throwing rocks at a basket and they call a basketball "the rock" and you try to make a "basket" so they're playing the right game in the completely wrong way haha
we also call missing a shot "bricking" a shot so its funny that they used bricks

@@Jdawg319 Fallout universe has alt history. 1969 the 50 states were unified into 13 super-states, the commonwealth. In Fallout, the moon landing was still in '69 (though it was Virgo II and not Apollo 11) but they're covering the restructuring of the country as part of this lesson, as indicated by the 13 stars surrounding one large star. The circle of stars is how they appear on the flag after that point.

I think he went in further because he was looking for people. EDIT: I don't think the chicken thing is legit I just think that its one of them urban legends or myths that someone was told and repeated. That and a feral ghoul would rip apart anything alive so it's not actually wrong, though nothing says it would go after the chicken first instead of the people lol. All in all really great first episode!

As a fallout fan is this show perfect no is it awesome fuck yes, this show actually made me download the games again, im with you dude on the power armor in the games i rarely use it
I love how the show ties into the games, how it’s cannon. Feels right and that whatever future games will be in this series will tie in perfectly to this show somehow. Leaves it open ended enough to play around with story and gameplay. I’ve loved the video game series for years and until season 2 comes out I’ll be replaying this series over and over like a 9 hour movie lol 😂

I mean I don't think it's a necessity. Everyone claims it's the best game , it's not . Yrs the dialogue options and overall story is better than 4 but gameplay mechanics, gunplay, graphics ,exploration are all leagues better in 4 than new vegas
@@GRIZY28 If what you value is shooting and graphics over everything else then yeah I guess 4 is better? But there are a million games out there that do the those things much better. Plus the gunplay in New Vegas can get pretty close to the one in 4 with like a couple mods.
But none of that matter because you don't have to choose one over the other, you literally can just play all of them.
@@CruelusRex again not just graphics. the game play , armor variety, outfit/armor designs , character design, yes graphics, thw whole power armor fuel core design/mech suit concept , the lore is Highly expanded upon , way more locations and areas .It's not just graphics and shooting" as u try to simply put it . I also didn't say u can only play one. I'm just pointing out all the dorks in literally EVERY fallout video crying they all are crap and new vegas are Godly tier compared to 4 when it clearly isn't. It's mostly a nostalgia and good dialogue
@@GRIZY28 You've just split "game looks better" in five different bullet points to fatten the list lmao. And "expands lore", cmon now, every game does that. Fallout 4 introduces the synths/institute + railroad as a novelty and they're sooo bad and underbaked it's not even funny. NV introduces a million new factions that are carefully thought of and properly fleshed out. THAT's expanding the lore.
And you can't be serious about character designs, when F4 only has Nick, Hancock and maybe Piper as memorable characters and visually they're extremely boring, while New Vegas has characters like Mr House, the securitrons, Caesar, Lanius, Joshua Graham, Vulpes Inculta, Benny and the list goes on and on and on.
The power armor in 4 is extremely cool I'll give you that, too bad they blow their load so quickly by giving you one 10 minutes after you get out of the vault lol. New Vegas even has a new signature armor that looks better than any armor in 4, that being the NCR ranger armor.

That is the one thing I am not understanding, if Lucy was born in the vault, and all she knows is vault life, and doesn't know any history after the bombs dropped in 2077. Her dad even says "they" don't know what's still on the surface, then how does Lucy know about "Raiders?"

Loved the mini Justified (incredible series) reunion with Walton and Mykelti at the end.
I'm sure that he did indeed put the razor in. First they show how everyone whoops him and dane is his only friend. Then they show that basically dane is about to leave and everyone was ecstatic about it except one very frustrated Maximus who took it personally. Noone else would have any motive. Razor both punished dane for wanting to leave him and prevented them from doing so. Notice also lack of suprise on Max' face when he sees what happened to dane. Suprise and 'wow' reaction are very hard to fake. And then he told the old guy exactly what he wanted to hear in order to get out of the situation but didnt admit to anything- he remarked that he wanted it to happen so at least I assume that he didn't feel bad. It all gives you a gist of what kind of person Max is and they showed it so well I loved it. You are not the first reactor who isn't sure and seems kinda lost about it and it baffles me the same every time people dont get it.

TBF I think the intention was to leave it as vague as possible at this point. Whether he did it or not really changes how the audience views the rest of his morally questionable actions. I was pretty certain he didn't do it but in episode 8 there were points that I doubted and thought maybe they would reveal he did, especially after what he did to Titus, Thaddeus and almost took the core from Vault 4, with various levels of justification.
@@elmatador2139 it was certainly left ambigious for a reason, yes. But in Episode we got direct confirmation who did it. Unless you dont believe that confession to be true, but i dont see why it shouldnt be believed.

Fallout fan but never played the best one, New Vegas? You should play that one. It really is the best one. I've played them all, including Tactics, and New Vegas is hands down the best of them. Great reaction.
Plus there are so many things in this show that has to do with Fallout 2 and New Vegas, SPOILER in case he reads the comments.
I don’t think (for example) the NCR flag or Shady Sands will make much of an emotional impact on him as it did with us who played 1, 2 and New Vegas. When I first saw the NCR flag as the Fallout theme plays over the scene, it gave me shivers and seeing the Veteran Ranger armor live also made me feel a certain way
