- So, apparently EVERYONE took Bloody Mess in this adaptation!!
New characters, new Vaults, and a brand new missing-family-member quest to propel a Vault Dweller into the Wasteland. Fallout is one of my favourite IPs ever, and so far the show is doing it justice! We can't wait to see where this season takes us.

So without going into spoilers, these specific vaults (31, 32 and 33) are connected underground.
On a different note, I have to say, as a first time viewer of the channel, the guy is *very* observant, level 10 perception skills here.
I’m really excited for the show to dig deeper into what’s going on with these Vaults (if they don’t I riot). And thanks haha! I do love maxing out Perception ;)
Don't forget her perception skills as well, picking out Rico as Lucy's brother as soon as he was on screen. Bro doesn't get nearly as much love as he should for this role.
I was thinking the same, so many aren’t observant at all and just talk over the show or look away and miss a bunch of stuff.
I had so many of the exact same reactions! Arms in the air, yelling out every little thing I saw from the games. By the time I screamed JUNK JET! at the top of my lungs, my neighbors must have thought I was nuts, hahaha
The Junk Jet is worth losing your mind over, I couldn’t believe they included it 🥲 The fan service is sooo good, and not at the expense of the overall show!

They DID give the Ghoul's human name in beginning, but he is never called by it except in flashback scenes.

Caswennan, but in the scene from the side (kids smoking perspective) during landing, it has Prydwen written starboard.
Apparently it's been confirmed that's the actual Prydwen, the same airship as FO4.

@@honest_cake Yes. If you played FO4 you know it has multiple endings (depending who you join) whike for continuation of the timeline, creators chose logical (regarding strength and capabilities) endings.
There is a blink and you miss it moment where you see a map of the three vaults connected together in a triangle

Yeah, sadly no WoT videos yet. Up until now I've mostly done Let's Plays on the channel, but I've been having fun with these reactions so definitely planning to do some Season 3 videos.
I read WoT back when I was 12 (probably a bit too young...) and it is absolutely my favourite book series. I've got a nitpick here and there about the show, but overall Mare and I both love it. I need Season 3 ASAP. Hope you've been enjoying the re-read!

The airship is the Caswennan.
Yeah it makes sense it's a different airship than the Prydwen, i was just of the impression that it was a massive investment for the Brotherhood, so a little bit surprised they apparently have atleast another one.
It says: Prydwen on its starboard side. 🤷 Maybe is The Class name, instead of Ship name. @@TehIdiotOne
@@elvisibra So i googled around, apparently this *is* meant to be the same Prydwen that we see in FO4. Which is a bit strange to me, since i vaguely remember that it gets destroyed in multiple of the endings of FO4. Not to mention that one was under the control of the Capital Wasteland chapter of the Brotherhood.
@@elvisibra I think they just reused the in-game model and retextured it, but forgot to redo the normal maps.
@@TehIdiotOne In the chapter one of the initiates says what the brotherhood does here.
He talks about the Brotherhood of Capital Wasteland, apparently Maxon came to join forces or something.

Oh yeah. I came into the Fallout 'verse with 3, played the absolute HECK out of that one, and also love 4. This is ... *chef's kiss* ... it's magnificent. I also adore the simultaneous kitchy ultra-retro hilarity and horrific violence and death, for some weird reason. (IRL, though, um, can we NOT and say we didn't? Please?) This is so much fun and I'm enjoying both of your reactions. Oh, and the doggo is beyond adorable.

You kids are adorable. With no spoilers, I can say that I never played any of the games, and I binged the whole season and it was - completely - awesome. You are gonna have a ball watching. After, I downloaded Fallout 4 from Steam and am playing through that on the PC. The game is a hoot, but the show is even better. I look forward to rewatching it along with you. Cheers.

@@honest_cake backed the digital secret project as shipping to where i'm at is another $50 on top of the WoR leatherbound. ultimate goal is the complete SA leatherbounds though. as to fallout, i'm new to this world...i bought the games a couple of years ago but have not gotten around to playing them yet. i guess, i'll finally get to them this year. here's to hoping i love it. :)
Yes, they did mention The Ghoul's name in the beginning scenes when the one guy asks the other guy, "Why is Cooper Howard doing kid's birthday parties?"
The show's composer is Ramin Djawadi who is most famous for creating the music for Game of Thrones, but he also did the music for Jonathan Nolan's two previous tv projects - Person of Interest & Westworld.🙂
I haven’t fully watched those shows (episodes here and there) but I’m familiar with some of the soundtracks, they’re great! Glad they pulled such a talented composer.

I think what threw me off is Norm looking a bit older, and he’s being portrayed as a younger sibling (I think? He might actually be older?) but 24 for Lucy makes sense otherwise!
Nice to see a true Fallout fan give confirmation this is a good show. Maybe the track record of "adaptations" are changing for the better. Gives me hope for the future "Horizon" franchise series. Thanks for an "honest" review (sorry...couldn't resist)

That intro is legitimately a great TV opener.
So many great shots.
2:37 stands out. It looks like a still image taken right out of the games, and it’s so poignant with the Howard and his daughter watching the end of the world before them, whilst everyone’s oblivious and distracted by the TV. Amazing shot.
Unrealistic explosions though. Not because of the CGI, but considering nuclear explosions are real you’d think movies and TV shows would be able to do them right, but here? No thermal pulse of intense heat at that distance which would probably burn our characters where they stood if not dead then severely, the flash of it doesn’t immediately blind Janey as it would do.
Otherwise a great intro!
That one shot was breathtaking, it sums up Fallout and the setting so well. I’m so glad they crafted such a powerful opener, I’m sure it hooked many people unfamiliar with the games.
And yeah, Janey is so blind after that 😂

If you are going to be moving around, then you absolutely should REMOVE a sharp object from your stomach, unless you want to perforate the rest of your inner organs!
The advice to "not remove a sharp object from your upper body" is only advisable, if you're going to lay absolutely still, and wait for help (help that you know for sure is coming)!
This myth that you should leave sharp objects in your "innards" while jumping around and running, is ill advised and deadly!
Fallout monopoly is such a thematically perfect pairing
