I think so too!
Thanks Robby!! 😎🔥🔥😎
Hey man, awesome video and those transitions were super clean! Keep up with the good work
Thanks bro!! Really appreciate it!
I really like your videos!! Awesome humor (loved the scene with the kid on the scooter). So great and also so informative! THX for your work. My kids love their new RCs! (bought with your recommendation)
That’s great!! Glad you like the videos and glad your kids are loving their cars!!!
Another excellent video sir 👌🏼 your editing skills are awesome
Thanks man!
Really appreciate that 🤘😎👍
Another fun and entertaining video! Nice shirt collection too, all the shirt changes kept my own my toes!
Haha! Thanks! The next one has shirt changes and facial hair changes lol.
Shot over the course of 3 months 🤣😎😎 🧔♂️. I might have even more gray hairs on and off in this next video!! 😳
Hey man I'm really loving your content, keep it up! Have a good one and God Bless.
Thanks I appreciate that!!! 👍👍
Love your vids and reviews. Much love from the UK.
Thanks Dave!! 🤘😎👍
That truck looks epic, time will tell if its super tough but straight out of the box it seems brilliant brother 💯💯💯💪😉👊🤙
Thanks man! Yes a great choice for a pretty affordable brushless RTR !! 😎😎🤘😎👍
Great video man!! I really enjoyed this one. Your kids are hilarious too.
Thanks man!! Haha ya they’re something else!
Looks very good! It takes a beating and good speed. Will be fun to see it on 3s 😁
Yup! Was rather pleased with its performance!
great review! You got a new subbie!! I love your energy!
Thanks!! Glad to have you here! 🤘😎👍
@@DerbyCityRC 🤙
You are the best channel for cheap RC cars and this one is actually realy good. Metal parts 2 bodies gigantic battery and flexible parts. Thats a really good piece of kit.
I actually got into the dilemma in case of the Kraton that I'm going to buy because i want to buy a M2C Racing motor mount with chassis brace but I can also buy a better servo for it and I have to decide what to buy first but both are good upgrades and they are the same price 😂
Thanks man!!! Yes definitely a good deal!
Do they make a motor mount for the 6s Kraton now? I gotta check that!
That stock servo sucks so bad. Do that and tighten up the servo saver first in my opinion 👍👍
@@DerbyCityRC I mean that I'm buying the Kraton 4s I wish I could afford to buy the 6s 😂
Lol oh!
I’ve been thinking about the outcast or the Kraton 4s too.
Nicely done video, lots of info concisely presented......whew, I had to caffeine-up, though, to keep up with the narrative. 😅 But I liked it because so many folks drag out their vids. But not you! Kept me interested and involved. Thanks!!!
Thanks!
Haha! Some of my videos I make slightly slower paced. I want them to be different and fun like you said!
Much appreciated!!
Dang bro great content! Many more subscribers soon! You deserve it! Better than many of the others on here! God bless you buddy! Keep them coming! I subbed
Thanks man! I appreciate that!! 🤘😎👍
@@DerbyCityRC glory to God in the highest!
Pro job on the review, nice to know it can handle more than the average guy will put it through, thanks, Also , good to know about order red get one large battery, order blue and get two smaller batteries, thanks for a great review..
Thanks!
Glad you like the review!!
Love the videos dude, your kids are funny and adorale. I subscribed and liked.
Thanks man we appreciate that!!
All great info keep up the good work.
Thanks man!!
Love your channel man
Thanks man!! 🤘🤘👍
Nice, you make it look easy😮 just put one in my cart!👍💯
That’s great man!
Thanks!! I think you’ll like it! 👊👍👍
Really impressive 1/12 (not 1/10) scale car. 30mph on 2S is excellent and that was reflected in how far it jumped. Seems like it held up well but zip tie on the esc is a bit “cheap” given the standards elsewhere.
Look forward to seeing how it goes on 3S and whether the Alien Queen will make another appearance.
They’re £205 here in the U.K which is nearly $240. How much are they there, after tax ?
As a point of comparison the mt10 is £280 here.
Yes definitely more of a 1/12 scale size. I agree the zip tie is cheap, but I also think that’s what kept it from coming completely loose like some other cars would. They definitely could have found a better way though lol.
The alien queen has made a few silent appearances before but this is the first time she got excited!
Amazon had them at $200, but I think right now are $180. MT10 is around $340 and that’s with no battery!
My daughter first RC car Isa Blue Hosim X-07. She is getting in in January of 2024...
Cannot wait. Daddy will probably get something cool to play with her!!
Getting extra batteries for running longer times. They say 40 minutes on a battery but guessing we will get a solid 20 minutes!!
2 more batteries and we can stretch good times to an hour!
Ya I don’t recall getting 40 minutes lol, but that’s awesome man, have fun!! These are pretty nice cars!! Can’t wait until my daughter is old enough, she loves watching them jump!
Hey bro love the vids! My son and I watch them all the time. Love.that u test affordable rc's, not everyone can burn $1500 on an X maxx. Even tho I'd love to 😂 but how did the 5200 mah battery hold up? Curious on the run time. Keep up the great vids 👍
Nearly all videos I've watched on this RC has been positive. Makes me feel better that I purchased one for myself. I almost went with a traxxas because it's a familiar brand I've had before, but for the cost and added products needed just to run it seemed stupid compared to what you get with this one. These reviews have been helpful.
I agree it’s been a pretty good one so far. Time will tell further eventually! Glad the reviews have helped!
Traxxass is ALWAYS stupid
Very entertaining as always. Love the content.
Little dude says “I am” then rides into oncoming traffic on a scooter… haha that was hilarious and scary. 😜
Thanks!!
Dude I know!
I was seriously just like WTF… lol. You may have noticed there was a long pause there. I must have been in shock.
Never seen that kid before.
@@DerbyCityRC lol . Right on. Love the channel.
Thanks man!!
This thing is OUTSTANDING for the money. It's on sale right now, I think it's the upgraded version of it they came out with and got it for close to $150 and wow... Just wow. Hits right about 50MPH straight out of the box wlth 3S batteries, has oiled shocks, handles great, jumps great, wheelies on demand. What a fun, fun value Truggy.
It's awesome on the stock 2S batteries they sent too, which are 2600mah each and comes with an adapter to hookup both batteries at the same time so it'll run for twice as long without having to stop and change batteries.
I really don't think you can find a better off road style RC car for the money.
I’m actually working on the new model review as we speak! Mine didn’t come with the parallel battery adapter though!
I felt the same way. Until a month later I broke the head off a Phillips screw near fron right steering rod which holds the right tires angle. It is so challengin g to remove without breaking or replacing multiple [parts. My complaint to Hosim here is that I wish only used HEX heads on screws etc. IMO investing a couple extra bucks into a Arrrma or Traxxas in the long run is a better bang for the buck. I like Hosim but, they lack using HEX. Bummer.Best wishes tho. I almost fiorgot to mention. I own Hosim Venom and can remove Phillips headed screws despite them being intacxt. I assume tghey used thread lock. I never had issues identical on hex screws. Happy trails.
@@dub2536 ya, I agree.. Since posting this, have had lot of things break on the car. I'll admit, when things have broken I was always doing something crazy with the car, or hitting some jump in nature (so maybe was too steep or bumpy) that led to things breaking but still seems like it should be a little more durable. I mean, it IS an off road rc clearly.
I don't have much experience with the more expensive ones so IDK how often they break, but if I have to keep fixing things on the hosim, it's going to eventually add up to what it would've cost to just get a better quality rc in the first place.
@@CornPopWazABadDude Agreed. The ones with mostly or almost exclusively HEX screws tend to endure punishment more. My twob favorites are "Traxxis, and Arrma". Currently u can get the Arrma Gorgon 1/10 scale for under $200.. Im planning to get a kit with charger n battery. I believe it is in 4x2 wheel drive not 4x4, but idk. Maybe they offer a kit to make it 4x4. However if its 4x4, u have more chances of breaking the differencial and other parts more easily. repairs usually more costly,. Im fine with 4x2 personbally but I like 4x4 a lot to. Gorgon from Arrrma at under $200 for what I have heard is a great deal imo. Its cheaper than repairing my Hosim. And far faster more durable etc. too I believe. Anyway good luck. Happy trails.
Ive also started having issues with the Hosims. Mostly differentials but other stuff too. Really fun cars out of the box but can’t handle hard driving for too long
I think the zip tie on the ESC is for the shipping process, so when the double sided tape gets really warm it doesn't come loose. It's right over the fan and that can't be ideal for the fan. If I get that truck, the zip tie will be taken off. Good double sided tape, or a small dab of shoo-goo should all you need to hold the ESC in place.
You may be right. Shoe goo does work quite well!
Hey Evan. Did you see Flyhals X03? . It looks like they’ve done their usual amazing thing and brought another brand’s truck out with a near identical spec for a lot less money. As far as I can tell, it’s a Hosim x07 but for (at least in the U.K.) about £70 less.
Ya I did see it! It does seem to be the same thing except on the video I watched, he said it has a 3000kv motor, which that Hosim is 3700kv. I’m actually working on a video for the older XLF X03 right now. Lol.
Love your Chanel bro we by the hbx 16889 pro and put the teyers of the hbx 901 on it.. Massive fun for my son 9 jears.. Thx 4 your rewiuws. 👍
Thanks!! Glad you like it!
Ya that should be a decent setup! Though I’m not too fond of the 901a wheels, they do better on the 16889a pro.
Nice!!
@@DerbyCityRC I mean the 903
Oh yes! Much better!! I do like the 903 wheels 👍👍
Awesome review, my guy! After watching several videos of this car and then finding your absolutely epic video, I ordered myself one. I got the one with the 5200mah battery. Is there another battery you would prefer? That will still fit in the original battery tray? Thank you for making awesome videos!!
Thanks! Very glad you like it!
I haven’t found an alternative battery that fits, but the big one it comes with has been good so far.
Yeah, I have the 5200mah battery. Upgrading to a better battery charger was a must, though. I'm having a serious issue with the steering servo saver. Unlike you were able to do in the video i cant seem to tighten the bottom back up. I didnt really want to tear it completely apart to fix it unless i absolutely have to. Do you have any words of widow on this subject or know of a video you could recommend? Thanks in advance!
Unfortunately I don’t hVe anything for ya there. Mine tightened back up pretty easily. I may have had to use needle nose pliers, I can’t remember. I know it was a tight reach.
Good review 👍
Thanks!! 😎😎
Coolio bro excellent video good times, with da kid🎉 great Dad.
Thanks!! 🤘😎👍
Really, really good video as always but when are you going to the upgrade on the flyhal fc 610 I know is coming soon but just bcuz I'm planning to buy one,,, and I already bought the haiboxing desert truck just bcuz of your review that you guys did on it,,, okay thanks for sharing 👍💯💯👍
Thanks!! Glad you liked my desert truck review!
I’m going to start the upgrade in a day or two, but also have a couple other videos in the works. But I’m going to try to get that video out within 2 weeks. That’s just a best guess but I’m just as excited as you are!
New to channel and new to hobby.. Which 3s batteries will fit these and which would u recommend? Thanks
Great! Glad you found us!
Honestly I haven’t tested 3s in this car yet, so I’m not sure.
I got that car. I have had a couple of issues but overall for the price it's a good rc car
I agree. 👍
Btw love your videos sir
Thanks!!!
This Hosim is identical to the Flyhal X03 I just reviewed except for the body shells and lipo 👍 The Flyhal is only $130
Dude I know!! Lol I just saw your video on it. I’m doing a review on the 3 year old xlf x03 so I’m gonna mention the new Flyhal in that lol
Can you change the receiver and transmitter without esc upgrade. Is it difficult to bind?
I don’t think so. If I remember right this does have a 2-in-1 esc. Esc would be required too if I’m correct.
How is the comparison to say a redcat pro sc? I recently found my ecx torment is needing to retire
Unfortunately I don’t have a redcat to compare to, but I’ve heard good things!
I’d say if you can get a brushless redcat for close to the same money, it may be a better buy.
Would you be able to confirm if this is the same as the HBX 903a? It looks fun but ik seeing reports of people getting versions without oil shocks etc
Its definitely not the same car as the 903a. Completely different manufacturer for sure. The 903a is most likely a bit more durable, but also a little smaller
Hi, I have an X07. The differential gears are always stripping or breaking teeth. Do you know of a high grade differential that will fit?
I hear of this happening a lot, but hasn’t happened to mine yet. Unfortunately I have not heard of this. I recommend sending Hosim a message either via email or Facebook messenger and ask about it or atleast let them know it’s a repeated issue.
Please help,I have an X07 and just keep blowing through rear differential. Do you know of or have a link to an upgraded or better diff that will work with this by chance? Thanks
Unfortunately I don’t know of an upgraded diff for these. I’ve heard a lot of people having diff problems but I haven’t yet. Hopefully they come out with a solution!
Hello Sir, can we install RADIOLINK V3 to our HOSIM? I'm missing the SERVO 3wire to put on the RECEIVER.
Should i get the 3wire from the motor and put it on the RECEIVER? Many thanks
I believe you’ll need a completely new esc unfortunately
Great video Evan. What about spare parts availability ?
Thanks!!
Great question! Amazon has quite a few parts there. At a minimum all the basics, like axles, control arms, shocks, tie rods, and diffs. Probably more.
Then Hosim.com has, what looks like, all the parts too.
Awesome video! thanks man. I liked the alien queen too, lol. I just got same one today from Amazon. was looking for the videos and found yours. Please make some videos to upgrade this rc car too in future. I heard the steering servo is weak on this model. What’s your thoughts?
Lol thanks! I didn’t think the servo was too bad, but I’ve only run it once. The servo saver loosened up on me like I showed in the video, but it was fine before that and fine again after. Every car I’ve got could always use a stronger servo, but this one didn’t catch me as being too weak just yet.
Hi there, finally I started using mine X07. I observed one unusual thing, when I go from reverse and then sudden forward, there is gears rubbing noise like ratcheting sound. Is it common when you suddenly change direction? Do you see same on your X07? Will Lubricating the gears will help in this case? Please let me know.
I thought I may have started hearing that too, but not for sure yet. Lubricant might help, but if they are clicking like that, it probably won’t help much. Possibly could be helped by adding shims on the differentials. If that gets worse on mine, I’ll probably look into doing that.
Thanks man. How to fix this annoying problem will be interesting. Is this common in the all RC cars? Please let me know.
Not on all cars, no. Certain ones do sometimes have that issue
Hosim must have upgraded this model - the new X07 I received from Amazon has a metal steering servo arm, I see grease in both front and rear diffs, the front LED is a little beefier (soldered connections aren't exposed), ESC seems to be upgraded (has more available ports for accessories), and the motor is red.
Yes I reviewed the X08 not long ago and it seems they put those same upgrades from that onto the newer x07s. Great news!
You should do another video on this car I have one and I love it but like the wing broke on day one and all the wheels loosened up like more then once also the body was totally destroyed after bash number 3. Just wondering if your experience was similar. New subscriber love your vids 🤙🤙🤙
I do have some more footage I need to put together. Use a little loctite on the wheel nuts and that should help. amzn.to/3jLbbiU
Glad you like the vids and thanks for subscribing!!
Update on my xo7 I know you like to put larger tires on stuff. I put larger tires on mine and it was awesome for about 5 minutes and I broke a front knuckle on one weird landing lol. May want to keep this one on the stock tires. Love your content keep it up🤘
Thanks for the update and kind words!
Ya I feel the durability isn’t quite there, but it’s performance is awesome! Still need to get it back out again lol
Nice to see that it now comes with oil filled shocks and new upgraded servo and metal differentials, the three weakest points on this original review version
Can u tell me the ground clearance for the hosim x07. Please
does that battery fit in the fc610 / hbx 2995 out of interest?
No it is much bigger unfortunately
So they say this has a low and a high speed mode, the manual is not very clear on which switch is l a H, any clue? Thanks
This one came with a remote that has a speed control knob, so can be changed throughout it’s full range of speed! 👍👍☝️
If you had to choose between the x07 and the 16889a Pro, which one would you choose?
I like the performance of the Hosim, but I’d probably go with the hbx due to durability. Im
@@DerbyCityRC thanks for your opinion. You’re videos are awesome and they helped me decide to buy the 16889 (brushed) and 18858 (brushed) for my kids this past Xmas
Awesome! So glad I can help!!
Hey awesome videos ! Can you do an update? Or try 3s on this ?
Thanks bro! The update to this car is I don’t recommend 3s lol. Mine killed the front differential and locked up the motor within a few minutes. The diffs are a big weak point on these otherwise decent cars unfortunately.
Can you link what 3s battery I can buy to use on this?
I haven’t test fit any other batteries yet. I put one of these in it and it worked. Its much smaller though. amzn.to/3YfOqTD
which is the best choice? hosim x07 or deerc 210e?
The Hosim is faster and has more power, but the 210e seems more durable. So for performance go Hosim, for durability go Deerc
What compatible 3S battery can I buy for Hosim X07 ?
I use the 3s battery that came with the x17, which should be on the Hosim website.
Bro when the kid on the scooter said watch what im gonna do, i said i hope not get hit by that car 🤣🤣🤣
Ya I didn’t know what to say. Lol never seen him in my life lol
@@DerbyCityRC 🤣🤣🤣
Mate, at 2:10-2:21 and 6:55 the video is blurry at the corners..is this my feeling or you did clear the lenses during that time?
I think it’s the way the light is hitting the camera. Not sure but it wasn’t from clearing the lease lol
@@DerbyCityRC great video though mate!( Can't wait for the brushless fc610 project!)
Thanks!
And me too!!
Will be soon!
Dude I want this or the best value 1:10 without going to mt10/vortecs money. Link no good. Is there another name or upgraded newer model?
This isn’t the one. Lol
After a few more runs the diff gears start to go.
What’s your budget?
I have a 1/11-1/12 scale that I like that gets released in about 2 weeks
It’s the Rlaarlo Omni-Terminator
What replacement wheels do you recommend for the x07? Thanks
I’m not sure, I haven’t tried any yet!
@@DerbyCityRC thanks for the reply
You’re welcome!
Hi I'm new to the RC world and perchested a few RC and I got the year warranty how do I get a hold of them to send my RC car toget it fixed
I would send them a message on their official Facebook page. They seem to be pretty responsive on there.
I just got one of these are straight out of the box it’s got a whine or almost gear clink like sound that’s faint, but seems to drive fine. Is this how brushless motors sound? Or is this defective
Hard to say. Brushless motors do sound different. Hear it at all speeds?
@@DerbyCityRC it’s noticeable the second I touch the throttle. I should try and get a video. It’s like somethings maybe a tiny bit loose? Or one tooth is broken? I’m brand new to rc
Those are definitely possible. Just double check for loose things. Could check the gears pretty easily, it’s just the 3 screws on top of the plastic motor mount. Could even be a loose pinion set screw.
Obviously could be a defect and they should replace the car for you if so.
@@DerbyCityRC thanks I’ll take a peek, it only took a day to get here so might just return for the sake of sanity
Ya man I hear ya. It’s probably not a normal sound. Maybe wait for the review I’m about to do on the car I just posted about cuz I have high hopes for it!
Parts availablity? Great review
Many parts are available directly on Amazon, and I believe on Hosim’s website as well.
Thanks!
I want to make some ramps so bad but don't have any woodworking tools/knowledge and would probably cut my fingers off anyway. Do you know of anyone building and selling them? I'm in Kentucky also so if you do I'd probably be in range to pick up from them.
I don’t know of anyone building them unfortunately.
Banggood has a plastic looking one but I think its like $140. Where in ky are you?
@@DerbyCityRC Southeastern Ky. Banggood seems to have some that are very small and Amazon has some big ones BUT they're like $700 lol
Hi..u think this would be a better option than the new wltoys truck
Good question. I don’t have the new WL toys at the moment, but from my experience with the WL toys I do have, this one has a stronger suspension system. More likely to survive crashes.
@@DerbyCityRC i see now..thanks alot
Having a 2ft wide ramp or more matters 👍. 3 ft would be perfect for me
My aim isn’t the best, I like my 4ft ramps 😆
Zeee-Battery-8000mAh s3 can I use this battery or what is the best battery and motor to maximize speed
Not sure if that would fit or not. It may.
So far the big battery that came with it has worked fine.
I have ran on 5200mah 3s now my X07 is converted to a REEDY 3300KV AND 70AMP ESC just had to drill metal motor mount plate
Or stake 2 2200mah 3s by OVONIC
Nice!!
Only problem I have with mine is the steering on the remote is hard to turn
Weird! A remote should be pretty affordable if needed.
I love watching your videos. Seems like we both like the Deerc made Holyton 9205e. As you already know this chassis is used in a lot of different rc cars made by Deerc. I agree with you when you said these chassis are very durable. My Holyton has an upgraded motor and it flies. I recently found a 3S battery that fits in the car and wow, what a difference!!! I also have a Hosim 9155 which is fast enough on 2S, I still haven't got up the nerve to try a 3S. I will eventually-lol. Also as a father and grandfather I love how you put your son in the videos. And from what I've seen in your videos, he drives a rc as good as most adults! Keep up the cool videos!!
Thanks!!! Yes the Deercs are pretty decent. Max is definitely getting good at RC car-ing and hopefully loves it forever!!
Got a link to this on 3s?
Unfortunately no. I tried it several months ago. Actually probably going on a year and a half and it seized up the motor in minutes lol. Don’t recommend trying that lol
Hey how was the runtime was it 50 mins
It’s pretty good but I don’t recall it being quite 50 minutes.
Please make a video on mjx 16210 brushless
I actually have an MJX 16208 ordered, which is similar but looks a bit more jumpable with the higher suspension. It seems to be in back order so I’ll get it eventually lol
My man..im very new to this rc..is there a good nice truck i can buy for 200$ im on a tight budget now.i dont like them small trucks..any options from your knowledge
Are you saying you want a bigger one than the car in this video?
@@DerbyCityRC i dont really know the size of this one lol
Gotcha. Lol well the width from side to side, including the tires is almost 12 inches, and the whole car is roughly 15 inches long
@@DerbyCityRC ok gotcha
What car u think its bettter the new hosim or the cobra
Hello derby rc sorry to bother in this one year video but can you tell me the size of the tyres on this please?
Thanks in advance and good work with the videos 😂
I’ll have to try to remember to measure next time I’m in the shop. Probably pretty near 100-110 mm.
Thanks!! 😃
@@DerbyCityRC thanks its 105mm i appreciate your help and wish you the best.
You’re welcome! 😉
Hey I got a question, my buddies are wanting me to get a rc so I can start going out with them. But they have 1000 dollar trucks and I want to start out smaller in price. What is the biggest motor I can get so I can keep up with them and not letting them now it has upgrades. Just want to beat them lol
Lol I understand!
Do you already have your mind set on this car?
And what kind of stuff do they do? Just drag racing or different stuff? If not just drag racing then better handling is important too!
@@DerbyCityRC no not mind set on this one but with your review and all the other ones seems to be a tough little truck. All I no is they own Traxxas and they do a lot of dirt racing
@@DerbyCityRC he’s got a dirt track in his back yard with a couple big jump
I would look at this one: amzn.to/3GDye8i
I’ve got a few videos on it and one of my favorites. Only 26 mph on 2s, but it’s 3s capable. Probably close to 40 on 3s. Maybe do a motor upgrade on it eventually but the way this thing handles and how durable it is, it’s pretty unbeatable!
150 on Amazon right now, i grabbed one
I also had one. Quite nice design. But durability wasn’t good and many parts broke… their 1/16 is way better. I really like the Q903- brushless, wheelies and ultra durable
Interesting. Seems good so far, but every car starts to break after a little while. The smaller, lighter weight cars do tend to hold up better for physics and science reasons. I have heard good things about the Q903 👍👍
Plus luckily parts are cheap and seems most parts are right on Amazon
I also made a video about it on my channel. But it is in German so maybe you won’t understand. What I also don’t like was that the motor got quite hot after just 3 minutes
@@DerbyCityRC that’s true. And hosim has a great customer service 👍✌️
I took German in high school and one of my favorite bands is German, so I know about 10 words 🤣
Hi u have a new sub here..i am very new to this about rc...ive been watching your videos on some rc trucks..is this a good option for normal use...i wont be doing no hard jumps or nothing just normal use.. which one would be better this one or the 901a hbx
Thanks!
Well it’s kind of a tough call. This one is easier to control, it’s a bit bigger, and it’s faster, but I think the 901a may have it beat in the durability department. It’s always a game to choose where you want performance over quality. If you’re not doing big jumps, I personally think this Hosim is more fun.
@@DerbyCityRC thanks for the reply..and yes like i said i will be using it for offroad here in my ranch just normal use some light bumbs thats it nothing to where i can break it lol...
Lol ya I think you would be more satisfied with this Hosim I have linked in the description. More stable plus also a bit faster.👍👍
@@DerbyCityRC thanks...does this truck have upgrades
I think I saw aluminum control arms on Amazon, so they probably have some. I wouldn’t put metal control arms on it though. Plus there is space for a larger motor if you ever decided in that.
Hey i want to buy his tyre how i can buy??
The tires the X07 come with? That’s these: amzn.to/3RSxpy9

Ok mine did not looks like that I guess I got fugged over and got the version one and they didn’t change the name to v2 because I have the x07 same exact model and trim and it did not have that metal or motor position or as fancy lookin as yours
Weird!!!! 🤔
@@DerbyCityRC yah I thought the same it made me absolutely hate rcs the dog bones poped out every 5 seconds (not bent) the shocks blew up this thing fell to pieces like a blind man had made it and looked nothing like that I guess hossim screwed me out of 189$ I had the same x07 with the one big 5200mah lipo the motor mount was not there none of the wires or cable management looked like that the rims snapped and I’m not a basher I baby my stuff unless I’m doing like one speed run in the grass or on road when I drive em I will never own one again personally I still have the chasis that’s literally in pieces lol 😂 and they didn’t even rename it version two or anything when they came out with this new version I guess secretly that’s bad customer service and bad quality rcs and I’m a cheap rc guy myself lol 😂 so that’s saying something the subotech hurtle h1 I just bought for 56$ on Amazon is literally 100 better then that hossim I had was and there not even in the same class 💀
@@DerbyCityRC also love your content and vids
Wow that’s crazy! Lol
Sounds like my JLB Cheetah, that thing is garbage. Glad you found one you like!!
@@DerbyCityRC oh for sureeeee my fav fave off brand personally is wpl JJRC exceed and redcat but I gotta say anything brushless by traxxas has always amazed me with quality and longevity also love your content rc fam always watching your the American kev talbot but with your own family man funny flare I love it have a good night brother
well you're certainly a great driver… But I heard it had ball bearings was that lie? That's a dealbreaker for me without ball bearings the car is useless… Great video
I’m pretty sure this one has bearings throughout. Yes if not that would be bad lol.
@@DerbyCityRC a lot of Chinese cars don't have ball bearings. Aluminum castings for gears is not great they should be steel. But at this price point they wanted it to be somewhat disposable. Have some quick fun by parts and give up on it. I saw another video where the motor went critically hot. For that kind of power that I saw even with you that motor is a little small for that what do you think?
Yes they do, but out of the many cheapos I’ve got, only one has bushings instead of bearings. And it’s one of the ultra cheapos. I think it’s the 1/18 scale Deerc that’s like $60 but could have been the junky Croboll I’ve got. Lol one of the two.
I’m pretty sure I’ve had a wheel off on this one and would have likely noticed if it didn’t have bearings, but I’ve certainly missed things right in front of my face before. Yes I’d say that motor is slightly undersized and would probably not last long on 3s. Eventually I’ll get it out again for more testing lol
@@DerbyCityRC respect… Thank you so much it was great that you will come back and talk to people I really appreciate you. I was thinking about buying this I'm still not sure…I want a car that will last that won't break the bank. I don't plan on bashing it hard but full power constantly it should handle… Take care
last update sadly I return the truck… The rear shock towers were so soft they were just melting over… A weird clacking sound when driving on grass… The electronics were abysmal… Too many points to list it was going to be a disaster money. Waiting for parts forget it… Moral of the story it's okay maybe to be a money pit but you want a smattering of quality and this car was not going to give it… And to get let's say a Revo there $1500… So maybe a decent car is 1000 who knows. So I took your advice and unloaded this one. It just had great looks but no quality but the price was a lot less but doesn't really matter it wasn't going to last
You can definitely get high quality cars in the $300-$400 range, like the rival mt10 and the granite. This one isn’t bad for its sale price, but yes if you’re looking for a solid performer, definitely need to spend a bit more. Thanks for the update!!
I had one to when it came out and it was the worst rc I ever owned and to this day won’t have one 😅
🤣🤣 I haven’t run mine enough to know yet
@@DerbyCityRC oh it happend in the first 20 minutes dog bones literally literally poped out every 5 minutes if not less so much so I stopped using it not to mention the parts over time turn to rust just siting in the air they may have changed it cuz yours is completely different but it was the exact same model just the version 1 you have a version 2 or 3 but they didn’t advertise it as such and that’s scummy to me I would have waited for a v2 if they had
Ya I don’t remember having axle issues like that. I think they might have bent a little. I do plan on getting that car out again eventually. But ya they should mention new versions!
Didn't this company used to be called xlf
They have a similar version of this car. I believe xlf still exists. Very similar for sure, I have a separate video for the xlf version lol
Well, it survived you so I bought one.
Lol we were tough on it for sure!
Over time we’ve noticed the main we point being the differentials. Heavy throttle maneuvering and landing jumps while on the throttle will wear them out much quicker so just be mindful of that. That will wear out any differential quicker though.
Yes and thanks for that. I know I should probably pull them and grease them. But my truck was all locktited with red locktite and all the joints were greased from the factory. I couldn't get the servo screw out with a small screwdriver. Very well done and I've never seen that before. I love the metal steering buckets and and C cups. I've never seen that on any brand either. I've also not seen a year guarantee either. Metal steering gear? And most importantly, it survived you. Really. What's not to like? I won't do to it in a year what you did to it in an hour. All that AND 5200 mAH worth of batteries? And only 199 bucks? I had to buy it. LOL @@DerbyCityRC
@dannysdailys haha, ya man it’s a decent car for sure! Good value!!
They used a zip tie as a permanent solution? And then the typo on the box… yikes idk brother.
Ya I know! Especially since that’s a new version of that box, and the typo was on the older model box too!
video needs more cuts per second
I know it does! I strive for more every day!
I am being safe, just let me ride my scooter into oncoming traffic real quick.
Lol right.
Anybody else experiencing wheels falling off a lot, power only coming from one wheel, and eventually motor melting down and smelling like it's on fire?
I had a wheel nut loosen I think, but so far that’s it. Maybe the other problems soon to follow lol
@@DerbyCityRC Careful with the wheel nuts. I don't know if this is common to other RC cars, but if it falls off, you will also lose an essential nut and pin that hold everything in place. Mine's somewhere out in the lawn.
This car just keeps breaking for me. Already got a 2nd one and been using the 1st one for parts. Really frustrating.
Ya that’s pretty normal. They are standard sizes though so you can order 2mm x 10mm pins for replacement. 4mm axle nuts with a flange and 12mm wheel hexes. It’s a good idea to loctite the axle nuts or check them every few minutes. Happens with most cars 1/10 scale or smaller
@@DerbyCityRC Got it. Wish I could figure out if the motor is really burned or not. Both cars have stopped working. Both power up but one smells like burning plastic and the other grinds like a bag of chips under a fat kid's scooter when accelerating
That’s gotta be like my 3rd favorite analogy ever lol. If you can’t tell what’s dragging by spinning wheels or axles individually, you really gotta just take stuff apart and see what’s binding. Luckily there are several decent affordable motors out there for most sizes if that’s what it is.
How tall are you? 1828.8 millimeters. What?! How tall is that? Six feet. How far away is the store? 160,934.4 centimeters or 1.6 kilometers. How far is that? About a mile. The gaps between mm cm and km are just too big to be useful.
Well there’s always regular old meters lol
@@DerbyCityRC forgot about that one. Even so, the gap between centimeter and meter is huge, whereas the gap between inch and yard can be bridged with the good ol foot. Love your content, btw
We need something else in there like milli-miles 🤣
Thanks man!!
Loctite everything on these Chinese rc cars 😂.
Pretty much any car 🤣
update from an owner with many years experience… I took a chance and this car is not hobby grade. I want to get rid of it what does that tell you? It is toy grade and it's garbage. My proportional steering has so many dead spots in glitches and such terrible resolution it's just a toy… All the linkages nonadjustable useless garbage. Well it is money poorly spent. I'm looking for a refund. Now you know the rest of the story. Oh yeah don't run it on the road this thing won't do a straight line if you prayed… You will kill it
My experience was different from yours. Hopefully you’ll be able to get your refund. I just reviewed the newer model and it’s similar with a few very minor upgrades.
hOSIM is the biggest piece of garbage that exist in RC car DO NOT BUY THAT i dont recommended it
Id say some things could improve for sure.
But there’s definitely worse out there.
Mad Max has zero time ⏲️ for the lipo bags‼️😁👍👍🦾🦾
Lol absolutely not!
