What can you say. Pain in the arse at times and look at the bills to keep her going and scratch my head wondering if it's worth it. Then every day I get in and drive it and my face lights up with a huge smile. Worth it oh yes.
I've just bought a Mini Cooper S from 1994, i love it, my wife and I had minis back in the early 60's and bought bigger cars as our family grew,, i love that old feeling of driving the mini again.
I’m sure I’ve watched this before but never commented apparently. Love everything about this video, I does really capture the love that people have for these little cars! Man I need to get back in the garage and make some more videos!
I brought my 1st Mini in '87 too a Mini City E. Have had a Clubman Estate,a Studio2 & now drive a John Cooper Le 40. Have always been obsessed with these fantastic little cars, nothing drives like a Mini,so much fun 💚
Well done video! I've owned a '63 Austin Cooper 997 here in the states for a little over 20 years, but it's been almost 15 years since I drove it last. This gives me some good inspiration to push it up in the priority list!
Thanks for the video! I am from the US and very interested in a classic mini. There is something that catches my eyes about it and have been wondering how it feels to drive one and working on one. As far as liking modern cars, there has always been something very awesome about being able to own classic cars and I am thrilled and excited to one day own one; besides datsuns and an ae86, I think I love to own one as my first car
+Synth8693 working on one can sometimes be a pain in the ass, but that aside it is a small price you pay for such an amazing little car! and well driving one, feels like a go-kart! it sticks to the road!
You do not see many classic cars on the roads these days, certainly not as daily drives, but I always see minis around norfolk, more than any other classic car, though when car shows are on, all the Morris Minors come out to play, but these are not daily drives like the mini is, which speaks volumes for the awesome little car. I will be honest, I am too chicken to buy a classic mini, i know as much about car engines as i do brain surgery, so i settled for a BMW MINI, which i know is not the same at all, but that car makes me smile more than any other i have owned.
I'm the same. Got the my black one in the vid as my first car. Looking forward to doing the London 2 Brighton for the first time next year! Where you from?
I can defiantly recommend it, just remember they are old and they go wrong but its part of the experience learning how to put them right. So for the car + Insurance mine was £3400. But keep checking ebay and Facebook, there will be ones cheaper. Where are you based? I hope to be in London to Brighton too!.
Great Video! I was going to sell my mini as we had too many cars. My friend said "you can always buy another Yaris but you won't always find another mini". Also a lot of former owners I meet always say they regret selling theirs. So good bye Yaris and back to the Mini (out of the garage and slowly getting it back in shape). Lots of fun
Great video! I always liked the classic mini, and I bought my first one (and first car) almost a year ago now. I have been working on it on the driveway ever since, to get it back on the road, hopefully before I get my driving licence in Oktober. Can't wait to finally get to drive it!
Great video! I've been hooked to Mini's since my grandfather had one when i was 5 years old.. now it's only 6 months before i can finally buy my life long dream car. Cheers
Thanks, glad you liked it! I am to film a second this year, going to shows and traveling a bit. where are you based? good luck with getting your first mini, you won't look back!
such an amazing video, I love the can as well, I got my first one when I was 14 and sold it to buy a second 25 year silver anniversary mini, I've still got half a year until I can drive it but it's exiting to customise it and make it my own, great video!!
Great video mate. :) Can't wait to have my wiring done so that i can finally drive the Mini that i just bought. It needed an engine swap as the old one was dead. I'm quite happy tho as the old one was a 900cc or something like that and this one is a 1300cc from a mini metro. Oh and what is the name of the songs please? They are so relaxing.
You gotta be kidding me about that HUGE ....and SQUARE...front license plate. How long will THAT last with almost no ground clearance?. Isn't there a wide-slender alternative? Holy Smokes !!!....
A M A Z I N G video I love the music as well 👍 classic mini in Australia not so many and they're not cheap... I wish I could have one :( I hope you got High Distinction :))
hah, same story as you man, looking round RUclips for videos on the mini & well... came across yours :P don't suppose you could tell how much insurance is for a Mini Mayfair??
Just bought a 1963 Morris mini 850 from South Africa with no rust and 27000 miles on the clock from new. Itching for it to come so I can drive it! Maybe sell it n the near future to buy a 80s mini so I can use it as a daily drive
+Interlock Productions Hey, i've got a question for you, if you dont mind ofcourse! I want to buy a mini cooper as a first car, but i want to know if they cost a lot in maintenance, and I'd like to know if the parts are expensive, can you help me with that?
What a BMW chav taxi Keep your shit box and when Thay get to 100 Thousand miles that’s when they’re on the last legs and ready for the scrapyard where they belong were with the classic many people will restore them forever and a day
i have a 1987 mini advantage with a big bore '64 cooper s engine (1275cc) my restoration project at the moment. shes does 86k on the clock and a solid subframe!
+Interlock Productions Well, I didn't get a Mini... Every possible hurdle to get in the way of buying one did and so I gave up trying to find the perfect one. As a result I have ended up buying a Citroen C1 Airscape Flair Puretech 82.
Despite its apparent rarity would love to own a Mini 1275 Automatic though concerned about being able to keep up with modern traffic, would a stage 1 upgrade be sufficient enough to put such concerns to rest?
I want the one at 3:50 with the 4 Lucas lights on the grille. no roof rack. if anyone knows of a mini about £4000 or under with about 50000 miles max. can be a Mayfair, sprite or cooper
Great video, minis are great fun. Join our fb page facebook.com/groups/maddoldminis Share your cars and experiences with us and have a look at ours. I will also share this video on the page.
Lanre Oladejo I bought my Mini in January, and I use it everyday. Put 4,500 miles on the clock without a hiccup. I spent around £200 on the MOT, but the previous owner must have had a dodgy MOT. Everyone will tell you they are terrible cars, but if you want one, get one. I wont go to anything else.
Admiral do a classic car insurance scheme and as well as that if you get multi-car insurance that can bring the price down. An 18 year old can get a 998cc mini insured at £1300

wait... can someone tell that lad with a dark red mini, roof rack, long dual exhaust that having wheels that stick out of the arches are illegal :D they can hit cyclists & take them off their bike he needs to change that or it's an MOT failure!!
What can you say. Pain in the arse at times and look at the bills to keep her going and scratch my head wondering if it's worth it. Then every day I get in and drive it and my face lights up with a huge smile. Worth it oh yes.
I've just bought a Mini Cooper S from 1994, i love it, my wife and I had minis back in the early 60's and bought bigger cars as our family grew,, i love that old feeling of driving the mini again.
wow same here 1994 mini cooper

Well done! You certainly captured the appeal of this iconic car brand.
Magic video for a magic little car
Makes me miss my first car, 1983 Austin Mini Mayfair. It blew up driving up a hill in the Lake District :')
You do not see many classic cars on the roads these days, certainly not as daily drives, but I always see minis around norfolk, more than any other classic car, though when car shows are on, all the Morris Minors come out to play, but these are not daily drives like the mini is, which speaks volumes for the awesome little car.

+Interlock Productions I am 16 coming up for 17 and want a classic car for my first car. Do you recommend? I only have like £3500 to buy and insure it
I can defiantly recommend it, just remember they are old and they go wrong but its part of the experience learning how to put them right. So for the car + Insurance mine was £3400. But keep checking ebay and Facebook, there will be ones cheaper. Where are you based? I hope to be in London to Brighton too!.

Pain in the arse but worth it. Yep!
Get yourself an r53 mini 😀 no rust and no oil leaks and very reliable 👍🏻
Each to their own, not my cup of tea though.
What a BMW chav taxi Keep your shit box and when Thay get to 100 Thousand miles that’s when they’re on the last legs and ready for the scrapyard where they belong were with the classic many people will restore them forever and a day

Love this video, can I share it on my Facebook page?
Thank you! Absolutely, that would be great thank you
+Interlock Productions Thanks mate
I wouldn’t sell 69 mk 2 Austin Mini . Even for 1 million dollars. My dad gave it to. It’s been in my family for 20 years.
I want to meet all of the owners in this video (other than the idiot that ratted his out), need to meet more mini owners
Aw thank you! I'm the one who created this vid. Mines the black one. 🙋🏼♂️
Where can I get the roof rack?
Recommend for a first car? I don't have a garage to put it in and I live in Scotland so the weather is very wet.
+Scott Sherman It's my first car. Plenty of people don't keep them in garages be prepared for leaks and rust :/
+Interlock Productions Right okay, thank you. I'll be careful with it then.
+paulph12002 Yeah, I get what you are saying. Thanks
+Interlock Productions Well, I didn't get a Mini... Every possible hurdle to get in the way of buying one did and so I gave up trying to find the perfect one. As a result I have ended up buying a Citroen C1 Airscape Flair Puretech 82.
What's the song
Despite its apparent rarity would love to own a Mini 1275 Automatic though concerned about being able to keep up with modern traffic, would a stage 1 upgrade be sufficient enough to put such concerns to rest?
Avoid the automatics, unless you like rebuilding transmissions.
Rusty boot, why? Love Mini cars always will. A fun classic.
A really nice short film.
What style of exhaust is that on the young boys mini?
+simon jones love it
what is the song called?
The first song is 'Welcome Home' by Radical Face followed by 'Youth' by Daughter
I want the one at 3:50 with the 4 Lucas lights on the grille. no roof rack. if anyone knows of a mini about £4000 or under with about 50000 miles max. can be a Mayfair, sprite or cooper
I want one
Great video, minis are great fun. Join our fb page facebook.com/groups/maddoldminis

I will also share this video on the page.
Hi interlock productions I am going to get. Mini and restore it in the future so after its finished I will let you guys And girls
Know
My Mini is a 1961 (registered Jan 1962), I have owned it since 1969. Anyone got an older one, or owned one longer?
what music 4:38?
石田知之 youth by Daughter
wonderful!
Is she a great daily driver ?
Lanre Oladejo I bought my Mini in January, and I use it everyday. Put 4,500 miles on the clock without a hiccup. I spent around £200 on the MOT, but the previous owner must have had a dodgy MOT.
Everyone will tell you they are terrible cars, but if you want one, get one. I wont go to anything else.
TheGard3nGn0me Couldn't of put it better myself! They are just amazing fun!
mad max mini
Hey guys. I'm restoring a beaten mini. Can anybody help me with the champagne colour code ? Much appreciated
Best off asking in a Mini Owners Facebook page. Mini tip and advice has helped me in the past.
I want a classic mini. But I don't have the money if it gose wrong
What the hell was going on with the exhaust on that lads red car? That looks totally shit.
Err. I quite like em... err.
I recently passed my driving test and I have always wanted a mini could anyone suggest some cheap car insurance for these cars!
Admiral do a classic car insurance scheme and as well as that if you get multi-car insurance that can bring the price down. An 18 year old can get a 998cc mini insured at £1300
awesome what would the price difference be if you got a 1275cc mini?
I'm not 100% sure, mine is a 998cc and insurance is around £1450 and I'm 17. Going by that guideline I'd suggest yours would maybe be £1600+depending on your age, after you turn 18 it goes down rapidly
If you've just passed your test, getting a 998 is better than a 1275 simply for the insurance
I know personalising any car its an individuals like, but really it's a mini Not a vw!
what is that exhaust abortion
Introducing the world's most riced mini EVER
Could I possibly upload this to my Instagram and Facebook? @retro_motors
Go for it! I would be honoured :)
wait... can someone tell that lad with a dark red mini, roof rack, long dual exhaust that having wheels that stick out of the arches are illegal :D they can hit cyclists & take them off their bike he needs to change that or it's an MOT failure!!
Kameron Lovell yea it's illegal for the wheels to be sticking out of the arches
This hurts me to watch what has he done to the poor car
Then you ruined it with that stupid exhaust
that ricer mini... ugh!
I'll be brutally honest, that exhaust is just disgusting
