Coming from a video background, when it was normal to have a 10-20x zoom range on video cameras, when I bought a 28-75mm f2.8, I couldn't get on with such a small focal range. To me, 24-50mm is almost like, what's the point, just get two primes 😂 24-105mm is about as short as im willing to go and I'll happily take the slower aperture 😅

Way overpriced. You can get a super-wideangle, a wideangle and a 50 mm with those money, and you have 3 prime lenses
Not everyone wants to carry around 3 prime lenses in their bags everyday
Depends on the quality of those primes. It's always a balance of price and quality.
Exactly. Plus you get f/1.8 and not a slow f/2.8
2.8 isn’t that slow and some people like a zoom and don’t want to switch lenses all day
No thanks. I'll gladly take one lens that can do all 3 focal lengths instead of carrying out 3 separate lenses. I'll take this lens in a heartbeat.
Way too big for a 2x zoom. It extends so is unusable for gimbal work. Just get a prime.
You really need to try this lens…it’s incredibly light which makes it perfect for gimbal work
