This video was a great help, thanks for making this. Ik this video is for the early game, but having charge shots with the blaster stance can make these guys way more bearable and make fights last much shorter. Getting the jump dash move also makes avoiding the grab less nervewracking too.
I watched like 5 videos. What worked is going for double-bladed as it had highest DPS with lowest animation lock (can move fast after attack). Now it also really helps to use the bone which stuns him for like 5+ seconds. He will also stun around 70% of hp. You want to be really aggressive on the big openings (after grab, during the stun at 70% or stun from the bone). Also death animation triggers around 10% hp left. You want get two attack chains to get him to 70% (dodge, attack till next combo comes up, back off, attack again till he gets to 70%, keep attacking to around 50% of his HP). Then grab the bone and stun him and go ham on him again. With good RGN you can actually kill him from 50% or get really close. Double-bladed force attack also hits hard and has some range. Stomp, grab, shockwawe can all be dodge with jump. Better to dodge punches tho. Good luck.
how to beat: turn it to story mode, then right after turn it back. since i’ve become a dad i ain’t got time to keep dying hundreds of times so i just did that. don’t tell no one tho lmao
Bro I’m a dad too and I too do this to keep things simple especially since idc for the first play through as much because I don’t have the red lightsaber
I’m not a dad but I’m in my 40s and I definitely don’t have the patience for a long drawn out fight. I also just turn it to story mode and get on with it.
I just had to cheese the rancor in Phon’Qi Caverns because I had zero stims left. I started by jumping on a platform and saber throwing at him. I then found it somewhat faster to force throw the little acid balls at him in quick succession
I beat him yesterday. took me half a the day. U can actually just parry all of his attacks (except for the "red" attacks and the stomping attack). And in the first phase USE THE DOUBLE BLADE! Chips away much more health bar. In the second phase u have to switch to the standard blade, coz the time windows for attacks arent as wide enough.
Rather than jumping left, it's actually better dodge into the Rancor's grab, from my experience. It seems counterintuitive, but it nets you an extra normal combo hit (I find Single easier than Dual for this) in most cases, since you have to close less distance. The extra hits add up quickly.
Actually you can dodge left effectively. All I ever did was dodge to the left and evaded him pretty easily. When he does the double swipe I parry both attacks. Only because I played on GM mode he only needed one hit. So you have to be near perfect.
half a year later and Im still puzzled how you can fck up the customization so much that I honestly dont like to play with any of the options, like how, no Cal Ive ever seen looks like oh yeah let me try out that combo, they all look meh AF now we know why they only gave us Ponchos in the first one, they just arent able to deliver on that front

so silly how his grab attack literally beams you in his hand even if you're on the other side of the room
Learn how to Dodge It, Is not so hard
Excellent work, great video 👍 This took me 35+ tries on Jedi Master difficulty, kudos doing it on Grand Master.

Sounds like a skill issue.

@@bend7726 sounds like a idgaf issue
Legit did this today on the new one. 2 kids man old me cried inside
The devs just put a rancor on the first side mission I got, I thought, first mission, it's going to be ok, then I run into a fucking rancor, lol.
Lol

From when does the 2nd phase begin? At half health?
double blade as in dual blade or bladestaff?
@@lucabestea6844 cant remember quite exactly. but yeah was kinda like this
@@sylokthedefiled i mean the mode, where he sticks the together and spins the blade

This video was helpful. Thank you for posting it.
Thanks I’m glad It helped
Fantastic play. Stick and move ha.
Spawn of ogdo would be nice I'm on normal difficulty and still struggling with it I didn't know it was a legendary boss when I started
I made a video for that one too. Check out the channel and you will see it.

Ssoooo I’m not the only one that stood up in the high ground throwing the light saber at him 😅 ..… good, gooood 😂
I stood on the ledge and threw my light saber at him😎
That's exactly how I beat him 😂

No problem. I'm glad it helped.
What PERKS dud you have loaded?
I’m making is my obligation to support & subscribe to every small RUclipsr like myself..
Keep grinding bro
Thanks! Big help!
i’ve been on this boss all goddamn day.
Well Godspeed my friend. I hope this video helped.
@@TugmanGaming i just finished it🤣🤣 so much stress
Big tip, just pull in the 2 big troopers and let them fight for you
Even In ordinary level it's just a pain in the ass I still haven't beaten the fucker, why did they make it so hard..
You could’ve just pick up the bones of the ground and throw it into his mouth
lol I didn't find that out until later
Great tip! I've seen at least three videos none ever mention the bones.
It's a cheese. But jump back to the edge and just throw your lightsaber the whole fight. Takes time but I beat it like that my first early run
just jump to a plataform and hit him
Same with the 2 ogdo fight
Is just get good, nothing else
You didn't use the bone on the ground though
No throwing the bone? Sad 😢
I three hit him on grandmaster with an insane perk combo
Back and to the left
Back and to the left
Why would they put this as one of the first side quest? They know ur going to die 50 times trying to beat this rancor.😂
😂 facts
I used my blaster and force to keep him away
Me: G U N
I died at least 50 times
Just use the high damage perk. I beat him in half a minute like this.
That perk is new game + only
Set it to story mode 😂
Just parry. Is not hard to do
Honestly skill issue 😂
