Neil deGrasse Tyson Show Off Cool, ‘Random’ Stuff Around His Office | Sunday TODAY
I would love to have Neil as my cool uncle who just talks to me about crazy interesting space stuff.
As how some uncles are in family gatherings, I wonder what would a drunk Neil be like.
I would watch this office tour as a full youtube show.
Seriously , one item per segment, each limited to about 5 minutes. He'd fill a channel with them.
No, no, no. It needs to be hours long in one sitting. I would gladly become dehydrated while watching it.
No with an Item per episode. Full story on where and when and some cool stuff.
I want a 24/7 livestream ._.
His ability to make people understand complex things in simple terms is a gift. Tyson 2020!
Chris Sche
"If you cannot explain it simply, you do not understand it well enough". - Albert Einstein.
Well quoted
imagine going to someone's family party and you wander into a cool room and *neil degrasse tyson walks in*
"Hi I'm Neil Degrasse Tyson, please take a seat."
Oh wait wrong show
corndog984 I would like to get a tour of Neil Degasse Tyson’s house by Neil himself
A moment we will never live :'(
I will legit die out of joy
KNO a
"The guy who jumped out of a perfectly good balloon."
Cracked me up.
My mom always bothered me about the disorder around my desk. Ever since this video, I haven’t worried about it.
I love when NDT talks about the perception of how far earth and other planets are to each other.
Far out man!
Don't know why, but that little story cracked me up :D ...so, how far is it?
James Bond Ok, now that IS pretty insane to think of. I am way too lazy to check your calculation but I'm going to trust you on this one. Thumbs up for even making the effort!
James Bond yo i'm interested in seeing your calculation if you wish to share it
Did you mean to say "nearest star to our solar system?" There are a lot of stars in the Milky Way Galaxy, of which our solar system is a part of. Alpha Centauri, our closest star past our own sun, is still within the Milky Way.
Here is a quote I found in an article once upon a time with a good size and distance comparison:
"It’s difficult to conceptualize such vast distances, but a popular analogy sets the Sun at the size of a grapefruit. If you wanted to get from your grapefruit-sized Sun to a grapefruit-sized Alpha Centauri system, you would have to travel about 2,500 miles, which is about the distance from coast to coast on the continental United States. And that’s just to the Sun’s closest neighbor!"
At least get reporters that care about what they report on.
He's just so uninterested in what Neil is saying. Neil is a gift upon us simple humans.
thasright bish It In all honesty, I believe that he simply cannot keep up with the complex labyrinth that is Neil Degrasse Tyson.
If ever I'm feeling off, a quick hit of NDT brings me back to loving life in all its goodness rolls over me. Thank the Universe for this human
I want to smoke NDT
lol, That's pretty good stuff! Well said!
I agree. What a good guy! What a great figure for the black community
RerollYaDice In the hood that means (shoot him) if he read this he’d most likely be like wtf did i do
Omg, this guy is like: "this is so boring! Stop talking!"
I would be hyped to be in his place.
dani ortega Yeah they should have had someone with at least an interest in science.
How does he look like he is not interested? He clearly is!
He looks so amused tho, just speachless, taking in everything NDT says
Nathan Philip excatly!
dani ortega you just completely made that up. this interviewer is being respectful. he’s letting neil talk, which he should
He’s like a little kid on Show N Tell day 😂😂
lol, I would be too if I had that much cool stuff in my office! But I don't. My office is kinda lame...lol
ya but that little kid has like 10 PHDs in astrophysics
+Unclear Sector why would you need 10 phds? thats stupid if you ask me, like going to driver lisence test 10 times no one does it xD
I see you didnt like my gift
Hen Halpert I see YOU didn't like my gift either.....lol
I’ll give both of you a gift 😏
Can I have a gift
[**Gifts may contain cooties].
Dude his office is amazing. With all those bottles of wine and facts/stories, i could spend the whole day there!!🍷😎
I love his collection... I love him. He is constantly trying to educate the American public.
I'm with Neil, get me off this rock.
He wants to stay actually. If I recall correctly he once said that if we would be able to terraform Mars or Moon, why not just fix our own planet.
felix baumgartner is the man though. He landed and said... "I'll Never do that again"
I've been a fan of him for sooooooo long. He was very kind and amazing to meet💗
This man has lived quite an interesting life.
I love these kinds of videos
"The guy who jumped out of a perfectly good ballon." best description I've ever heard for that.
Great Video Neil. So much inspirational!
Haha Neil's talking about the globes on his shelf and Willie's trying to read the labels on the booze!
I can now say my room is as clean as Neil deGrasse Tyson's office.
Love this guy, he gives me hope !
I had a copy of that exact Dictionary!
Huh I learnt today thanks 👍
I absolutely love Neil. Dude is awesome and all I do is listen to his lectures and him on podcast while driving to and from everywhere.
He is such a great guy
Love Neal De Grase Tyson. He is natural and godly.
His enthusiasm s infectious. If only every kid had a constant positive and open influence like him growing up.
I want more office tours from academics, researchers, and explorers!!
Saturn my 2nd fav also, great minds think alike
4:08 😂 I love you Neil
This reminds me when I showed off my collection of fossils when i was little
Jupiter is my favorite Planet
I love it when he destroys flat earthers
I just love Dr. Tyson.💝💝💝
I need more. Please!
Lots of bottles just sitting around
Looooove Dr. Tyson.
I have the 1962 printing of that Dictionary.

They need to make an 1-2 houre long version of this clip whare they look at everything, for example the voyager lp on the floor
4:00 neil degras tyson just crip walked 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I remember going to see Neil speak live at my university 4 years ago. Dude is one cool cat
When he started talking about the distance of space, moon and mars. Literally shock and awe
I just learnt so much nowlage
Neil DeGrasse Tyson is THE MAN. It is incredible to see how excited and passionate he is about Astrophysics after many years in the field. If he was a school teacher grades would go up!!!
I would love to meet NDT one day.
And I would love to just watch him explain everything in his office. It could be a series and I would watch it.
This made me love him even more!
This was awesome
He said we’re staying in arms reach and the next cut he is couple steps away of arms reach lol
He's like a little kid showing off his toys to his new friend
What keeps me up at night? RUclips.
Neil was throwing it down! He is great! 😂😂
Proof that wood shop is essential to be in today schools
There's a simple trick you can do with a scaled down earth and moon to see relative distance (if it's actually to scale). Place your eyeball next to the earth's surface (next to the side facing the moon) and move the moon until it looks the same size it looks on the sky. It should aproximate closely and it's a neat trick to measure stuff.
I love that man
A Beautiful Mind.......
Nice office
This also looks like my desk ;)
i just love how much wine he has... just finished my astrophysics masters and all of the lecturers drink a good amount of wine
I hate how much I overestimate on the distances . I Really overestimate them
You can tell this guy loves to teach. So cool.
He's the best!
Did any of you notice how many wine bottles he has around his office?
My favourite planet is actually Venus, I love the fact that it's actually (on average) the closest planet to us and yet the surface is so completely, almost unimaginably, inhospitable. I think having something so different so close by is a great reminder of how varied the universe is.
looks like he is the new manager in THE OFFICE
I gotta register cozmic as a vanity licence plate before Neil beats me to it.
I have the same birthday as Neil!
I was waiting for the reporter to accidentally knock Neil's lamp on the floor
Looks like my bedroom. I’ve got all sorts of weird and cool stuff
Organised Chaos - the sign of a true Genius, i should know :)
Now that we have established that thee is no need for further qualification or experience, can we please have a scientist as president next up? Sure, the contrast would blow up heads all across the nation but if it kills some Trump supporters, that can't be a bad thing.
I love Neil.
I love listening to Neil XD he's hilarious. Just what he considers exciting. It takes a lot to impress this man. He also has a tendency to rain on your parade when it comes to the hopes of interstellar travel XD
That lamp will be worth thousands
Let the comments speak for this man.
If you can make a lamp that cool in middle school then you are destined to have a fruitful career
The perfect astrophysicist
even when the show is about himself, Niel steals the show
Is there any possible way to meet Neil? Does he do Conferences/Seminars that are open to the Public?
This man needs a daily show or something
AWOLF He has a show. It's called Star Talk. You can watch right here on YT
If batman were truly like a bat he'd be blind like a bat. -based black science guy
Until around 2:48 i thought that was actually matt Damon
Neil chose the wrong guy to show his collection... I would be squealing like a mice just to hear niel in person!
Neil looks like Chali 2na on that photo :D
I thought the rockefeller center sculpture was Atlas, not Prometheus, right?
The Netflix joke at the end is the only thing he understood
"How about the guy who jumped out of a perfectly good balloon"
Neil deGrasse Tyson is so awesome. I wonder what he would consider the Challenger Deep Space. Between stars or between galaxies
Just like Michael and Adam lol
kept seeing the long board and was hoping he would say something about it
How could you not love Jupiter best? If I'm ever endowed with superpowers I'm going to go flying around in Jupiter for a couple thousand years experiencing all the different weather phenomenon!!
Man I wish he was my science teacher
Neil deGrasse Tyson for President 2020
This reminds me of the German guy from SLC Punk that likes showing off his boring expensive stuff.
Whit dude looks like a Dollar store Matt Damon 😂😂😂 lmfaoo
wow, the moon is much larger and closer than I thought...
