OMG - I loved this episode. It could totally be made into an action film! There would have to be lots of scary music in the beginning when you are stalking through the watermelon plants - I had a 5 foot rattler in my AZ garden last week so I'm still nervous. I love the lightning storm and the Colorado garden. Mostly - your "oo Lala" for your mom's present and her happy face! Good work!

I tried growing melon. No luck, but my daughter grew a few. I find rattlesnakes occasionally on my property and once in my greenhouse. I'm not afraid of much, but rattlesnakes are my nemesis. That is one scary storm cloud! 93 years old! Congrats to your mother. You are like me in that I get excited over other people's gardens. LOL! Best wishes!
