@@terramatergardensis pruning necessary or not especially when a person like me who is growing this variety in my home lawn which is not that big as i have planted other vegetables and fruiting plants as well. Any advice from your experience please

Pruning can be beneficial for managing the growth of Watermelon vines, especially in smaller spaces like home lawns where you have other plants growing. While not absolutely necessary, pruning can help control the size of the plant, encourage better airflow, and promote fruit production. I would recommend pruning the vines selectively to remove any excessive growth or overcrowding. Focus on removing any dead or diseased branches, as well as any side shoots that are competing for space. Thanks for watching and asking! Happy Growing!

While Charleston Grey Watermelon is typically best suited for zones 4-9, it's still possible to grow it in zone 11 with some adjustments. In warmer climates like zone 11, it's essential to provide adequate sunlight, water, and perhaps some afternoon shade to protect the plants during intense heat.
