- The official coin effigy of King Charles III has been unveiled by the Royal Mint.
People will start to see the King’s image in their change from around December, as 50p coins depicting Charles gradually enter circulation to meet demand.
In the meantime, the Mint will release a memorial coin range on Monday to commemorate the life and legacy of Queen Elizabeth II.
The King’s portrait will first appear on a special £5 Crown and 50p commemorating the Queen.

I'm a coin collector I have many different coins from different places in throughout time. This will be my first in over 2 years and I will be grateful to get it
where is his crown?
I wonder if it has something to do with him not yet being coronated?!
Coins bearing a King's head don't feature crowns
@@sazzieb1 That's interesting. See, I always grew up thinking they did because my family had coins of George VI with the crown. But those coins were from the colonies where the emperor's crown was shown, while back in the UK it wasn't. Fascinating!
@@raymasraymas All monarchs appear uncrowned in coinage issued before the Coronation.
That is a handsome coin, well done.
Why isn't it CAROLVS?
So much better than that "Diversity built Britain" crap I saw on a 50p piece, recently 🙄
Go back to sleep granddad 🤣🤣😂😂😂
@@olafhenson3626 leftism is a mental illness. I hope you get the help you need
Keep whining
Damn Philip you still alive?

Looking backwards.

I thought it was going to be Carolus not Charles.
God save the KING !!!!!!!!!!

@@stanleypines1026 no. He’s only king to boot scrapers like yourself.
@@stanleypines1026 not mine
@@devorah935 Do you live in the UK or a Commonwealth realm?
@@stanleypines1026 She lives under a bridge with the other trolls🤣😂
Not bad.
How does this affect max verstappens legacy
Guess who is coming to our "city" on Monday along with Sturgeon and a few others?. Yup...old Charlie boy and Camilla. Guess it's going to take a while to replace the old currency and I wonder just how long we'll get these coins in circulation before it all changes again and we get William taking over?. I give it 18-25 years maximum and hopefully we can keep cash and not go digital either!.
The MP's have sworn an oath of allegiance to 'King Charles, his Heirs, and Successors, according to the Law'. They did not swear an oath of allegiance to King Charles III. He is not from the same bloodline as Charles I.
The Promissory Oaths Act 1868, paragraph 10 - ''The name of the Sovereign for the time being to be used in the Oath. Where in any Oath under this Act, the Name of his/her present Majesty is expressed, the Name of the Sovereign of this Kingdom for the time being shall be substituted from time to time.''
So by saying they swear an oath of allegiance to 'King Charles' they have actually sworn an oath to Charles I, who was from the House of Stuart, and to His heirs and successors. They have not sworn an oath to Charles Windsor.
This oath of allegiance to King Charles Stuart and His Heirs and Successors, is deliberate. There is a valid claim to the title from the Stuart bloodline.
@@feesimple388 What about the A bloodline?. I'm A-neg rarer than Charles who is O neg. Wonder if I could trump him...should ask as he's next "door" technically speaking at the minute...but that's me being cheeky!.
No thanks
What will you use instead? Beans?
@@sazzieb1 what about a clown 🤡
Ummm... It looks more like the smoking man from the x-files
200 years from now the worth of the coin will of gained no value
