Man says “I’ll keep playing poker. Maybe one day ill get another coin like this” More like “I’m going to lose all this 80k on playing poker. I just hope i wont go bankrupt and get another coin like this one”

This guy walked out of the Pawn shop and right in a Casino and gambled till his 80k was gone.
Show proof.
What do you mean “show proof”...it was a joke 🙄🤦♀️
He means, go watch "hangover" and see alan takes his 80 grand in the casino
i assume he had more that just the coin....
@@skunkie110 😂😂😂😂 Show proof
Rick at pawn 🌟 that is the best 👌 coin prices. In the world 🌎 we love ❤ this shows. Thanks
Customer:
Rick: “This holy grail is considered to be the holy grail of the holy grails.”
H :o L Y Grail
Rick: I need an expert opinion, i know a guy working at NGC ill call him and see if he can see it.
- One of NGC´s best coin graders walks in, seller not looking like he moved an inch while waiting for the hours it would´ve taken him to get there.
The episodes are all prepared beforehand.. the customers featured on the show do not walk in spontaniously... the items/sellers are all pre selected.. the experts are already informed about the items so they can do their research...
I like Dave. He's such a chilled out looking guy.
Rick: "It's worth a dollar. I'll give you 75 cents. And I'm taking all the risk here." Dude didn't say that the pot was only $2K.
Man says “I’ll keep playing poker. Maybe one day ill get another coin like this”
More like “I’m going to lose all this 80k on playing poker. I just hope i wont go bankrupt and get another coin like this one”
Yup. That's the reality.
if you willing to do high stack poker...
Haven’t watched this show in years. But Rick usually makes a deal on items he personally likes especially anything having to do with American history.
Incredible find! I am a coin collector & I love this episode 👍
I have Morgan dollar years 1921
What Rick didn't start at 40k? He is losing his touch.
He knows more than he portrayed in this episode. He probably already had a buyer set up at a hundred grand.
He never had his touch.
skenny -s haha touché
Coins like that move quick. He'll either keep it or it will be sold the next day.
@@zachyurkus i think more than that al he accepted that price
Beautiful and very beautiful show. I wish you health, peace, success and progress in your wonderful work. My greetings.
2:47 dude I had no idea Edward Norton was such an expert on coin collecting
Can we please use a phrase other than “holy grail” to describe everything?
How's hens teeth work for us ?
The phrase is supposed to mean one of a kind, so it is stupid to use it just to mean something is rare; especially, in this case where it's not even the best example of the item.
Cat's meow.
I was also gonna say hens teeth....
Litigious Society Holy Grail does not mean one of kind youre actually stupid
That's pretty genuine from Rick, the seller was offering 20k for it and Rick offering even more to buy.
Rick is an amazing dude.
Honest businessman
90.000...
75.000...
"meet me in the middle - 80k"
Me: Confused noises
Bruh. What kinda math is that
yep, I was waiting for the $82,5. But, you could see Rick's nuts in a vice at $80,0. He was not going to let the coin leave the store.
I mean it isn't the exact middle but 80 is between 90 and 75
THIS GUY IS LEGEND RESPECT TO HIM 100% DUDE ASKED 20 AND HE DIDN'T RIP HIM OFF GAVE HIM 80 THAT MAN SHOULD BE THE HONEST MAN I HAVE EVER SEEN IN ANYWHERE RESPECT AGAIN,,,,AND HE KNEW IT WORTH MORE THAN 20
The guy with the peace dollar must play in some pretty high stakes games. I can't believe someone would throw that in a pot and not know what it is.
A) The poker story is likely a cover, he probably got it doing something a little shadier.
B) If someone is letting you wager huge amounts OFF the table, it means he has a REALLY good hand, and you should fold and keep that silver dollar for another time.
He looks Jewish, so I sure he does play in high stakes games. Jews are like Asians-they all have money.
It's strange to see a guy who owns a pawn shop be so honest. Rick deserves all respect.
dude, the camera is on him and he had to make sure it was real
Um.. it’s a rehearsed TV show?
If he accepted the $20,000 asking price he would loose customers bc they are afraid of getting cheated
‘You weren’t willing to offer me 20 grand for it.’ Touché.
very gentlemanly of rick not to rip that guy off by offering 20k as asked for and getting the coin evaluated and paying a proper price
Rick's moments of honesty are laudable. The guy could've probably gotten $85,000. That's a very, very special coin.
Nice coin. Dude made 4xs the asking price. Nice score. Surprised Rick started out so high. Was fun to watch. Great video
I thought Rick would offer 50k tbh. That guy would have sold for 65k after starting out at 20k for sure.
Also, zero chance he won that in a poker game. I've never been to a poker game where people wagered rare coins, wtf. This isn't Casino Royale.
My guess the " won this in a poker game" was scripted just like that ridiculous negotiation that whole thing has scripted written all over it
These are scripted and that’s no secret. They’re just displaying cool historical items in a cool way. Just enjoy the history
it not starnge since it is las vagas... but not reason to care on first place...
Yeah, the guy won that 19th century poker book in a poker game as well. Yeah right.
Maybe he stole it from Grandpa
Dude... can you imagine ASKING twenty thousand and leaving with 80? That's unreal.
Now Rick can take it to a high end coin auction and go for the 100K! Amazing! 😳
Imagine his friend only owed him $2k and he gave him that coin
Gotta do whatcha gotta do.
Missy Meow 🎼🎵🎶
I thought the same thing lol
No, i think it was close to 20k , thats the price the guy wanted at the biginnig.
Makes you wonder how high the stakes were if he dropped in a coin for 20k
"90,000"
"75,000"
"Meet me in the middle, 80,000"
Me doing quick maths: "Wait what?"
yeah lost $2,500 but still a good deal because he got Rick to boost his original offer 20k more
This clip is the holy grail of pawn stars history, only one to ever exist
The poor guy didn't even do a little bit of research before walking in.... props to Rick for doing the right thing!
I’m old enough to remember when the History Channel was educational......not this staged horseshit
Lol
It's actually not staged though cause it's a real place I live pretty close to it.
They Are pretty nice people
People who whine about the history channel should be shot
@@Ssevenn7 Just because it's a real place doesn't mean it isn't stagged.
Staged or not, the show is very educational. Every episode you learn about the history of the items featured. I don't know how you can say it isn't educational.
Being as honest as Rick should be more thankful and appreciate the honesty.
This has to be the first time Rick didn’t scam someone
Rick doesn't take-advantage of ignorant people. Unlike most people in the collectibles game.
Pawn shops don’t “scam” people. There is no scam to it. Pawn shops are for people to get quick and easy money. It’s not a regular kind of retail business.
Also, it’s not a scam if the customer is aware of the value. Just because Rick knows how to make a deal doesn’t make him a scammer
I actually respect Rick, he seems to usually give a fair offer. Les Gold on the other hand will give you $5 for a $150 bicycle.
Les Gold the man who call himself "expert"
🙄🙄🙄
