They need to pay the drivers more money that's a hard job. My solution let the federal government buy greyhound and make it a federal government job. There's not enough profit in it for the Private industry because they refused to pay the drivers a decent wage and it's a difficult job so most people walk away. That's they don't train b class drivers anymore. It's not worth it for 20 dollars an hour. If the drivers were making 40 to 50 dollars an hour it would be worth it their would be endless amounts of drivers only the government can pay that salary
A bunch of us was stranded in NYC. Had to take another bus company. They also try to avoid refunding their customers. I have to do it through my credit card. I don’t know how greyhound is legally allowed to do this. This all started once flix bought greyhound. When I first used it, I had 0 issues, now when flix bought greyhound 2021-2023 there has been nothing but issues.
Total mismanagement and lack of compassion and communication from greyhound keeps putting these poor passengers in harms way. And don’t see it stopping anytime soon
No federal funding or grant funding to keep them open. It costs money to run ground transportation agencies! Greyhound is privatized and needs to become more regionalized!
@@muffs55mercury61 you ain't kidding. The one stop in Aiken was moved from one block from the booming downtown area (pubs, resturants etc), then the chamber of commerce pressured them out, and now it's located on a gas station that closes at 11pm in the ghetto while buses come through in the middle of the night. No chairs to sit or anything.
All company owned stations were kept by the previous owner First Group and then sold in a huge deal to a real estate development company so all these stations will eventually go away. Greyhound has already moved out of many of them like Houston, Philadelphia, Cincinnati, Denver and with many more to come. Its a sad situation to see what has become of Greyhound. I was there from 88 to 93 and it is nowhere near what it used to be, we never left people waiting that long. Totally ridiculous and I feel for the passengers.
I’ve been left stranded in San Francisco with my fiancé. luggage tagged incorrectly and lost completely. They absolutely do avoid giving refunds, even when the delays are their fault.
I'm on greyhound right now from phionex to chicago so far this the first time I took greyhound and the bus was ontime but I'm sure that won't last got three transfers
On my third one now going to Florida they left someone in a wheelchair out on the street legitimately forgot her and shrugged it off, she was headed for Florida for medical surgery, left in Chicago, downtown(not at union Station)
Flixbus is making it worse right now by closing safe terminals with seats to random bus stops. Many people who take the bus or train aren't starting out from home. There isn't much sense in cutting drivers and stations so much that you're hurting your brand. Drivers will work for an organized company. Greyhound was already suffering, now you're making it worse FlixCo. Maybe Trailways will go national again or maybe Megabus.
Flix is caught in the middle because when they bought Greyhound the bus stations were not part of the deal. The previous company then sold all the stations to a real-estate company and they're charging probably a high rent to Flix for these rundown stations. It's an unsustainable situation so they're gonna need new stations most everywhere. Ideally they would love to move into city owned transit facilities but that is not always available. There's just no way that Flix can afford to have all these bus stations in this environment where your competitors pick up on street corners. I'm afraid it's going to get worse before it gets better and that could take years.
They need to up the prices and pay the drivers more money. The drivers are making 20 dollars an hour. It needs to but at least 40 an hour. So they need to double the prices that will fix the problem and it will also make it safer for the passengers and customers
Raising prices and wages will not fix the problem, it'll only exacerbate them. At that point, money and money alone will only be a motivator, not the customers. They need to be an independent company, and not merge with other companies, with those other companies along with the U.S. government taking over them like FliX does, becoming corporate fascists.
This is July 2. 2023 destination from Spokane to Seattle, greyhound bus driver, leave me at a truck stop. a few hours later another bus showed up, got to the bus office in Seattle the same day and closed around 3pm, my luggage was not in the bus office when I got there. The next morning I went back to the greyhound bus station, no luggage still, called to where they take their bus, no luggage found. Another greyhound bus driver tells me they don't touch the luggage, So where is my luggage? And now I found out that the greyhound bus company was sold to another company. So changes within the organization are kind of letting me know that some bus drivers don't care about their customers that ride with them. as it says on their website.
They got me chasing the bus, not saying anything about the bus driver, anyone know how to reach the bus driver, how there companies find the bus driver. ANYONE KNOW
It was her first and it ll be her last I knew when bus service becames behind schedule That can make bus travel really bad Bus and air travel are not so great About train travel i don t really know about train travel I m sure it s not the same either Not fun like it once was
I'm a former Greyhound bus driver I would laugh so hard every time someone would tell me "I'm never riding on Greyhound again" because I would see the person on the bus a very short time later. Especially the Section 8 people.
And there you have it. A perfect encapsulation of the problem with Greyhound. Drivers and most likely management who lack any kind of basic human empathy. You admit to laughing at passengers having a rough time and then brag about it like it’s a good thing. I’d say shame on you but you probably have none.
1:55 Oh no. In 2017 Greyhound was leaving passengers stranded all over America for days at a time. I'm serious. Anywhere from 24hrs to 3 days or more in some cases because they sold tickets for connections that had no drivers. It was horrible! Greyhound has been a hard no go for at least a decade now that I know of and I've ridden Greyhound consistently since the 60s, but all that ended in 2017 because they are absolutely not a reliable service anymore. 🫤
Greyhound is doing that to us in New York now. They need to go out of business completely
They need to pay the drivers more money that's a hard job. My solution let the federal government buy greyhound and make it a federal government job. @@jx1668even somewhere in the $30s/hour. But they also need to quit closing bus terminals too.
Watching this as I am waiting on a bus 2 hours passed the departure time on a Greyhound. Never doing this again.

No it started well before then. Maybe 2011. It's actually a lot better than it used to be
Total mismanagement and lack of compassion and communication from greyhound keeps putting these poor passengers in harms way. And don’t see it stopping anytime soon
Poor people ride the bus.
The owner or owners know this.
Poor people are always mistreated.
That's reality.
YOU. SAID. IT. ALL.
Horrible this has been a common occurrence for years now they need to be investigated
Be lucky Raleigh even has a station, a lot of cities are now run out of gas stations.
No federal funding or grant funding to keep them open. It costs money to run ground transportation agencies! Greyhound is privatized and needs to become more regionalized!
Or street corners near ghetto areas.

Greyhound likes to keep people hostage been waiting in New York for over 25 hours
Greyhound should NOT have sold the company to another country - Germany
Amtrak is much better
But more expensive.
@@Ahuntsicspotter nah same exact price but the schedules may be better. Spokane WA has trains leaving at 330am to Portland/Seattle...
I used to ride The Grey eons ago. Sucked back then too. When the clientele is poor, they get treated like garbage
This is why I am using rental cars now!!! I refuse to do Greyhound one more time again. NEVER EVER EVER!!!

FBI agents ,👮 maybe they should, find out what??? going on with people in Grayhound bus in America 😢. Fines$$1,000 per bus trips

Greyhound was sold to a German company - I've never seen such stupid crap!
They didn't go to CDL school to "care" about your issues that have nothing to do with them.
This is part of the greyhound experience.
At least there’s a station in Raleigh.
I don t want to go Greyhound period It s just not worth it

If you knew better you'd travel better...or at least different. Sad to see that Greyhound doesnt give a dogs crap about its passengers.
They should fly

That explains why you're a FORMER driver and not a current one. They and people like the woman is video, don't need nor want you.
You are going to get what you fucking deserve. Insolent dipshit.
I wonder if any driver ever visit an Asian country and see how the public transportation there blows away America. It should really embarrass them
