Greyhound bus stations closing around the nation

- While air travel is by far the most common way to get around, 16 million Americans ride Greyhound buses every year all across the country. But the Greyhound station in Dallas, Texas, like several others, will be closing its doors for good in October.
What's happening in Dallas is indicative of a trend nationwide: intercity bus stations like Greyhound closing or downsizing because they can't afford the space they're in. In some cases, the closures leave travelers to wait in parking lots or street corners for their next bus ride.

Please keep Greyhound going strong. 🙏
As a former Greyhound driver who drove out of Phoenix when they closed the Los Angeles station. I knew it was the beginning of the end. Flexbus is going to do something similar to what the WWE did to WCW.
It's all about the money. Not a new happening.
Greyhound delivers the worst product of any transportation model in America. I hadn't been on a Greyhound bus since 1980 to travel to my grandmothers for the summer. The service was sketchy even then and now downright disgrace from news stories I've seen and RUclips videos. They seem to have no regards for the people who have to use it out of necessity. I've seen numerous stories of horrendous customer service ,rude bus drivers and very poor facilities.. oh yeah the awful delays.
Indicative of a thing called greed.,
Greyhound bus stations have been paid for many years ago. That was property owned out right. Greyhound is simply taking advantage of selling the property when Real Estate prices are high and moving their location into city center transportation centers paid for by the taxpayer.
Stamford’s downtown location closed in 2020 and reopened briefly in 2021 but now it’s closed for good.
Their customer service is horrible. I haven't rode for so many years. Lot more convenient for me to just drive.
IIRC the Dallas depot is one of the nationwide hubs. Kind of a big deal.
Man not greyhounds I’ve used them many times in the past
Doesn't help that Flixbus now owns Greyhound. If you have ever taken Flixbus in the U.S., you know that they only use street corners and transit center bus stops to pick up and drop off passengers.
There are plenty of loonies around that lamar bus station.
Other cities have closed their Greyhound stations, such as Norfolk, VA, and Columbus, OH. "Alden Global Capital bought thirty two Greyhound stations." No wonder Greyhound is going downhill.
The company has to lease a specific lot in order to have its bus stations because it's the most affordable option. the company is not going to purchase the lot to have its bus terminals.
How about Amtrak as an alternative
Self driving Greyhounds coming?
Or Mr. Roboto will be our new driver
No. Not happening.
i wrote a book called last time i rode greyhound,i felt like greyhound rode me.
The better business bureau needs to shut they AZZ down and investigate all the scams they do
The BBB has no regulatory power. It is only an information-sharing entity. No power. None. Look it up.
Finally thank God
send the buses to Kenya
How about Amtrak
A 100 years from now it won't matter.
I been waiting for train Dallas to South TX and to Mexico
F-in greed knows no bounds!
Canada
No visitors for la Olympics july 14-july30, 2028
We see that now, y'all breaking down these buses so y'all can send them overseas, nothing new.
Greyhound needs to be taken over by an American company again. They have become a mess and i will never ride the bus again.
They were a mess when they were American owned.
Don't trust them
