THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!! As a hobbyist growing up on classic rock, I always wondered how to play these R & B songs and as i got older, I slowly learned but still have stumbling blocks. This helps me overcome quite a few of those hurdles with your tutorials. Thank you again!!!
Man I'm Crazy bout The Isley Brother, I almost had it by ear learning Ernie's cool playing. Thanks for the help Man, You're a Guiding Light. God Bless. Simon G...
Very well done. Thank you for sharing. This is one of those songs that stand the test of time for me. I remember liking it from when it first came out and appreciate it more now. It's one of those songs I enjoy just listening to so much that I never wanted to take the time to try and figure out how to play it! Another song that comes to mind is "It's A Shame" by The Spinners. Those two guitars in the intro.!!! I think that's one of the all-time most perfect duo guitar riffs. I sat down once and tried to figure it out, but I'm still so mesmerized by it that I'm satisfied to just listen to it over and over. Thanks again
Thank you for your lesson and patience on Explanation! Well Done! What a great groove and awesome song. Brings back so many memories. Very helpful TX again!
The Isley Brothers recorded a slower, R&B version of Who's That Lady in 1964. In 1973, they went from a singing group to a band. The signature song was remade as That Lady Parts I and II. They tried to emulate the Jimi Hendrix/Carlos Santana sound of the time.
+Bluntz 0809 You can if u purchase my DVD'S Lesson 1- 6 for only $35.00 you can't teach yourself what you don't know. Take your Guitar playing to the next level starting next week.
Yo man, I subscribe to your channel because you shoot straight all the time bottom line, and I like a lot of the same music as you. One question, how many guitars do you have man? I feel like you have at least a dozen and a few basses. I know how it is, you you can never have too many. Cheers mate.
How Ernie Isley is never mentioned in ANY of the top 100 guitarists (or whatever survey) is outrageous. He’s terrific.
He has been snubbed by the industry which is so sad he is one of the greatest Guitar player. He also played Drums on all their early hits.
Don't stop teaching. You have been a great teacher.
Thanks
Thank you from the very bottom of my heart
Thank you Morrisman for teaching I have been a laid back guitar player in the late 1969 been in bands back in the day..thanks a millon for teaching.

👌🏼✨
Good video, I would assume the solo is in c minor pentatonic ?
Thanks you are correct
How about plugging in the guitar...
How about being competent enough in musical literature 😢
@@imaniguillory6497 Ok, I didn't write that, never even seen that video. Guess it was a hack...
Great lesson man. Any guess as to the FX pedal setup that Ernie's using? I hear a Cry-Baby Wah pedal...and SOMETHING else. Any ideas?
Trying to nail down his tone- which is amazing!
no two people set up are the same, work on your own my friend personal one
Morrisman Smith
I love his sound. Great player, really unique.
I need the information on how to order the 25.00 lesson
Sure you can send $25.00 to my paypal at MORRISMAN64@HOTMAIL.COM be sure to include your shipping info and DVD'S will ship out in the morning
thanks
Is that a preset or did you manual adjust it.
+Joe P. ALL presets are great never have to adjust
What pedel effects do you use?
+Joe P. The DODFX7
Why Ernie doesn't get more credit as a guitar hero is beyond me.
It's a shame
+EclecticHillbilly I heard that Jimi Hendrix lived with the Isley Brothers for awhile, before his career went big.
That is true and also Prince lived with Andre Cymone for a year b4 his break and Andre wrote most of the early Prince hits
I had a hunch that Cymone was involved with Prince's early songs but he had that "Minneapolis sound" also, so Prince took all the credit.
Yes indeed Prince stole Andre groove for himself and all Prince offered him was a spot in his band and promise of a record deal
What about the solos?
what about them???
ruclips.net/video/uO0-ddFux0s/видео.html
I meant for who's that lady.
I don't do other folks solo's that why it called solo "Your own"
Morrisman died in 2023
