Fantastic Darryn! Your drums always sound great, now we know why :) Love the attention to detail and the aesthetic. Also hats off for supporting local manufacturers 👍🏻
Hey Darryn. great vid. Could you give a shoutout to whoever did the soundproofing work on your room?. I'm also in a melbourne townhouse and want to look into the cost of doing something like this...
Hi Darryn thanks for all your work and great playing. I am wondering if you ever get frustrated with producing RUclips videos where you need to import your mixed audio to picture and whether you could do a short explanation of your process in that regard. Also, do you know of any DAW platform where you can record multi track audio and video simultaneously? With the new Mac M2 chip seems like processor speed is not an issue anymore…THANKS AGAIN!
Great vid Darryn👍 Well thought out layout and attention to sound and air control. Would love to see you do a drum tuning video…particularly snare drum tuning and fine tuning against sympathetic Tom overtones. Thanks again. Cheers 🍻 Ps I think I saw you play that kit at the TUDW 2000 -2001 ? Thereabouts…Sounded great back then and comes across well in your RUclips clips also 👌
Hi, thanks for the informative video! As far as those air handler boxes - did you get those off-the-shelf or did you build those? I am going to be building a room in my basement and need to do something for airflow other than HVAC ducting which would cancel out all the work for sound deadening.
Hey Mike. The boxes were made by the builder who did my studio. I'm not exactly sure how he went about it but I'm sure there is information out there on how to make them. I opted out of reverse cycle air con to save costs as the size of the unit would have been too big for my room. This was the best option for me.
I was gonna ask whether you had air con in there? i have reverse cycle in my room but no fans like the ones you have built to circulate the air, I'm hopin the air con will be doing that. Great to see your room.
Darryn, how do you make the two different camera pictures look the same? I found that the iphone vs canon m50 colors are a bit different so how do you adjust these? Thanks! 😊
The first thing I needed to do was adjust the white balance in post. This helps enormously. Beyond that it’s a matter of getting the exposure similar on both cameras. There are a bunch of videos about colour correction and colour grading on RUclips.

Hello Darren, what daw are you tracking into for you videos?
Also, what are you using sync your videos to your audio?
Hey there. I use Pro Tools as my DAW. I edit and sync audio and video in Premier Pro by Adobe.

@@darrynfarrugia9904 do you use some app on the iphone to adjust exposure?
@@RumpukouluBasari I do it in the editing software. I use Premier by adobe but you can use any editing software such as Finalcut or Davinci Resolve.
Did you replace the window and go double glazed or was it already installed etc?
Hey Richie. We added a second window so there are two. We had to build the wall out a little to do this.
@@darrynfarrugia9904 Brilliant idea, pulling out a window just to double glaze it can be a very expensive process.
