    They are great, but god help you if you have a faulty one. Ken the owner is very rude even when you are being relatively cordial. They also don't replace the product they just say it's all your fault and that you don't know what you are doing and they won't replace and will only give you a discount on a replacement (after he proceeds to be snarky and talk down to you). As great as Peterson may be I wouldn't buy them again.

      As many people I've seen having the same experience, I will not give peterson any of my money. Went with sparrow and loved my decision, about to make another purchase for some thinner hooks and a bump key set just for fun

      @@jeremy.-.s Same. My rake snapped and you can clearly see no bends or anything (because I was using it like it is supposed to) and his response was that I am blaming it on the rake when it was me holding it and then told me to “be better” because he was “disappointed in me.” Lost a customer in me too. I was looking at an expensive kit to buy from them until he did this. Apparently Ken doesn’t grasp long term customers.

    Do you feel differently about your Petersons two years later?

  • @johnjonz2472
    @johnjonz2472 5 лет назад +2

    When you pay that premium Peterson price , each pick should orientate correctly, with the Peterson name, pick size, and hook direction should line up exactly the same on every pick. Period. No reason it should not. I've bought picks from them with flashing on the handles, No pick labeling, slightly bent hooks. No excuse

      Texas Lock Picker Im not sure how I feel about them yet, I didnt realize these hooks were not as long as normal hooks, They seem to be holding up pretty good. I do like the handles but I broke one of the ripple rakes already. time will tell.

      I've never used an 18th pick of theirs so I bet they can be very different. I've never used Any other picks only Peterson

      Id like to try some of peterson's 25 thou picks, I didnt notice when I ordered these they are not as long as the normal picks.

    You have a nice collection of picks, some look like Sparrows. I am a fellow Canadian and feel fortunate to have Sparrows here. I bought some nice little handles from Pick Pals that slide over the steel handles of Sparrows 0.015 picks.

    drool ;P I wonder which handles feel better between the plastic and the rubberized.. I guess it comes down to personal preference... btw i dont want to bug ya but i shot ya an email a lil while ago, I dont know if you got it yet or now but I thought i would remind ya

    • @chrismason6903
      @chrismason6903  7 лет назад

      Rookie Lock :p I thought the plastic would be good so the transfer of feedback wouldn't be dampened by the rubber, but when I pick I keep one finger dowm on the pick shaft anyways so I would feel the feedback from there. If I decide to try anymore peterson picks I would try the rubber handles. Sorry I didn't email you back yet. I haven't checked them in awhile. I had to update gmail and it made things harder to figure out. I will try and get it figured out so I can reply to you.

      oh right, i never thought about the rubber dampening feedback, good point! and no worries man, just thought i would remind ya :P thx

    congrats, let me know how they work for you. Been thinking of getting some but been kinda hesitant.

    • @chrismason6903
      @chrismason6903  7 лет назад +1

      Sidewinder for sure, I was very hesitant aswell because the pick case and tension wrenches had some flaws and I wasn't sure how the picks would be. I am happy thus far. I will probably do an update video on the picks in a few weeks and more than likely they will pop up in most videos from here on out. Thanks for watching and commenting.

      Didn"t like that case either - check out the Sparrows SHERMAN instead :]

    Yeah I'm not a big fan of Peterson picks. First I don't like there handles and second the only time I ordered a couple to try out they came bent and my Bogota broke after only using it twice. They didn't take care in there shipping at all. I'm not saying that I'll never get another Peterson but it will be a rare occasion.

    • @bobbykeyz1263

      I would pay $90 for the 12 Pcs pick set from Banggood that I reviewed before I would pay $50 for a Peterson set of picks.

    • @chrismason6903
      @chrismason6903  7 лет назад +1

      Im not sure how I feel about them yet, I like how the handles are bigger than my other picks but I dont think the handles alone justify the price, I tried the little city rakes out to see how they would work in some tiny padlocks and I broke one already. I am not impressed. I was hoping the picks would restore some faith in Peterson after the bad quality of the case and tension wrenches but so far that hasn't happened. I might buy the banggood 12 piece set to try out, the handles look comfortable and they seem to work good. Thanks for watching and commenting Bobby.

    Very cool bud,
    Glad you got good picks. How much did they cost $$
    Also not saying to put down Petersons at all... I love there picks.
    But I resently got the Praxis kit from UK Bumpkeys and they are the full set in .023 and .015 and they are the same quality steel as the government steel Petersons uses. And the Praxis is $50 US
    But that doesn't change the fact that the right side of my pick roll is Petersons!!
    Congrats again bud.
    Happy Pickin!!

      Steel Pinnings Thank you.
      Yes its nice to have some nice new picks. The picks were $63 and the shipping was $32 so $95 US . Luckily customs didn't make me pay any more money thank goodness because $95 was just about the limit I would of paid which was still probably to much.
      I will have to check out the Praxis kit for sure. I can never have enough picks. I have an addiction to them :p
      I really do like the handles on the Peterson picks though.
      Thanks for the info, for watching and commenting. :)

      uk lockpickers after using them for awhile now I agree. I broke one right away and bent a few more later on. The "fancy" government steel didn't provide any additional feedback or strength as compared to any other picks I have I feèl. I cant justify the price.
