I have noticed that the channel STAR MOVIES HD broadcast some of the movies in IMAX version (as mentioned on the movie certificate show at the beginning) but it plays usually in the ultra wide mode. Can anyone please explain why??? Or are there some ways to play it???

Technically any 4K HDR can play Imax enhanced movie as it's majorly aspect ratio change. But once it is commercialised with proper license, then it is possible that it is restricted to only IMAX enhanced TVs just like Dolby Vision.

Is this similar to imax enhanced?
No it's not. The normal version we watch is a cropped version of imax. The top and bottom are cropped slightly. So when you use zoom ln TV, you are only maximising the same cropped version and not getting extra cropped part. Hope this clarifies your query.
I have one questioni!! I've using 1080p Android tv but last 1 or 2 months hdr videos are playing contrast correctioned while i'm using disney hotstar... What's the problem
It could be the Color Space called by the Hotstar App for HDR video. Check the picture mode used during Hotstar Playback and if you have option to changee color space, try that. I did not face it ever, soc an't exactly say what could be the reason.

Hey bro... As much as I know, OTT apps don't support surround sound from browsers. You need to use standalone apps for them when available to get the surround output.
I have one question my laptop has Full hd screen 60hz screen so can I watch videos in real 4k on it cause in RUclips it shows option of 4k even 8k !!
It will not be real 4K or 8K as the number of pixels on your screen are fixed with the FHD. But the image quality can be slightly better.

I have Samsung smart TV. While playing 4k HDR movies/shows, in video performance option,it shows viewport as 1080 and current resolution as 4k.

Hey... View port is the resolution of the Interface and generally all OTT apps have interface made in 1080p resolution only even on 4k TVs, so that 4K processing is totally dedicated for video playback only. So don't worry it's normal and i have the same on my TV too.

It would, but right now hotstar removed imax variants. So we have to wait till then. But you can normally watch everything else on firestick.

Still the TV aspect ratio was unfit in comparison to IMAX aspects ratio 1.91:1. Need a compatible devices to run in proper format.
Hotstar removed the variants in this month. It's available on Disney+ but not in India due to Hotstar. Not sure why they are taking so much time.

@@abhishekjangid1979 hi... cast option is a dynamic icon. So it appears only when it sees any capable device in the network. That's how it is with all OTT apps. If you move to a network where there's an Android TV, you will get the icon.

It won't show 4K video if the display is not 4K. Your laptop not projector is 4k, so obvious that you will get on FHD track. But anyway, Hotstar removed the Imax versions, so we have to wait till they add.

Your TV should support Chromecast for you to get that option. Some Samsung and LG TVs won't have that

@@aegontargaryen4801 Yea I understand. But that's not possible as the Android TVs/Smart TVs have limitation as the OTT app developers don't want you to Zoom in and Out. So it's not possible.

Hi... Casting options is available on all ott apps but Imax versions are not yet available on Netflix and Prime. Even Hotstar removed the Imax version in India.
