The elected officials met at the Houston Food Bank to pack boxes of meals and share their plan to help Texans hit hard by this week’s deadly weather event.

It was susceptible to these circumstances. The reason there's such a massive blizzard in texas is because of climate change. A green new deal would 1) implement green infrastructure and reduce emissions to prevent possible disasters cause by climate change in the future and 2) update and innovate newer technology that would be able to handle such crises.

I would advise donations. We don't really need more strain on a system that is still spread too thin.

My comment was made after reading things like “ she just wants recognition” , I believe she is leading by example and shows true compassion for all people, not for a pat on the back. I think she did this interview to let people know that you don’t have to fill out a 12 page survey and have two forms of ID just to get food and this was important for her to let this be known.
It help to start healing the rift and division by recognizing both parties can work together despite our differences that may inspire people to share food heat and space even if they have different beliefs they can come together in a time of crisis
