That’s the first amendment. People have the right to speak and when that is taken away then cops can tell you to shut up and if you speak, then they can put you in jail. Ahead of time, the guest is given a list of questions and agrees to answer questions asked and not to veer off-topic. What Leavitt did is no more acceptable than if YOU had been asked to toast the bride and groom at a wedding and seized the opportunity to talk about how your dog was poisoned by your nasty neighbor and died in great pain.

Trump had his day in court, and he refused to testify on his own behalf because he is incapable of sticking to the truth. The lies he continues to reiterate have been found without merit ( false ) in multiple cases. He thinks truth should bend the knee to him. He and his surrogates could use the allotted time to present the policies he wants to enact, but instead he uses them to promote his policy of retribution if he is reinstated. The court of public opinion is sick of his whining about past grievances, and perceived slights.

CNN's ratings used to be a whole lot better because they were on at all the airports. That was perfect for them because people were watching in passing. They'd see the headlines, hear a blurb but that was it. They were able to spread their lies more efficiently.
