- In this video, we'll show you how to power wash a restaurant dumpster pad from beginning to end, showing how bad it was before and the end result after going through a lot of processes to get this dumpster pad clean.

We cleaned an extremely dirty pad. The receptacle held used kitchen grease, but the sanitation company came in, knocked over the barrels and made a huge thick greasy mess of things.
The first process to power washing this dumpster pad is using a soap that works perfectly for kitchen exhaust grease. Kitchen grease is an organic kind of grease and it's different from grease you find dripping from cars and in parking lots.
The second step is to spray the soap solution on the greasy surface, leave for a few minutes and scrub it in because the grease stain is so thick.
The third step is to blast with a roto nozzle a couple of times because the grease build-up is so thick, we would need to blast it until we get a clean surface.

PRO-TIP: Use a HOT WATER MACHINE. Don't use cold water machine. This is a HOT water machine cleaning job.
For the final step which is the dirty water drainage, we can use a surface cleaner but we set up a vacuum system that sucks the dirty water and stores in our tank which will later be recycled back as clean water.

Just use 3 cups of sodium hydroxide plus 1/4 cup Blue Dawn to 5 gal of water and x-jet it then use your surface cleaner after a 15 dwell.

Great video just subscribed! I have been doing some gas station recently, if you don’t mind my asking how many hours would it take ur guys to do a deep clean dumpster pad like that? And how much did you charge the customer? I know each area will vary. But I have trouble getting some gas stations to pay 150 for pad about that size , but not as much grease.
Finding the right customers is important. Some just won't pay a fair price. Move on if they don't. A job this nasty will take about 2 to 3 hours. Charge what is fair for you.

How would you do a dumpster compactor door inside a grocery store? Electric boxs every where. New system that picks up a trash can an dimps it for the store worker.. Again how to clean garbage door an or chute to compacter inside?

The longer it dwells the more it will break down the oil and grease. You could even pretreat and let sit over night. On average, most are allowing it to dwell 5 to 30 minutes depending on thick the soils are on the surface.

How much do companies charge for that? I know it has to me more expensive for the amount of grease build up plus all the scrubbing and rinsing.

Will green beast work on getting motor oil stains off concrete?
It will but I thin our Power House DNB-1430 may work a bit better.

How can I figure out what laws there are about the waste water in my county?
Start with the agency that you get you water from. Or go to those the are in charge of your waste water like for the sewage.

No, but I would believe that using hot water pressure washer and turbo tip would take it right off. There my be a slight residue after cleaning.
Would a surface cleaner keep the grease from splattering around?
It helps considerably but you will still get but like 5% of what it was. We didn't use a surface cleaner here because we needed focus the blasting power of the wand.

You run the potential risk of getting fined as well as the customer. Enforcement and interpretation of the regulation vary from area to area but I can assure you that the effluent from a dumpster pad cleaning is not supposed to go into the storm drain.

We did as much as we could with a square shovel. Could have possibly got more if we had a tile scraper.

Great question. it will always vary based on service intervals and build up. The best thing to do is estimate how long it will take to prepare for the job (as in before you leave your shop), set up, clean, tear down and don't forget to include drive time. Then use that time and decide what you need to be profitable per hour and charge that amount.
