No lie, Isaac Clarke is probably my favorite horror protagonist. It’s just amazing how they took a reactionary silent protagonist and made him into a sort of dry wit proactive everyman. Showed what true care can do but what I love more than anything is the man responsible for just mere grunts, screams, and huffs was brought back in the sequel and turned out to be an incredible actor. Gunner Wright just feels so real as the character and I do hope if they do anything they at least bring him back in the remake and allow him to speak. Maybe we can finally tie those loose threads left undone throughout the series too.

My biggest dream has always been for a Halo-reach like style team, for the sprawl security. Like a security team that was still alive and had to evacuate, along with their view from start to finish with the outbreak. The severed intro was so unsettling. And I’m glad it was, because it shows not only how severely unprepared the Security was. But the fact they have never seen such a threat. Would’ve been cool though if Colin survived, and helped Gabe. Would be even cooler if there was another story based purely of security.

Judging by the dialogue we hear in the room where Vandel was, I'd assume "Sabatage Execution" meant Tidmen sent a kill squad to execute Vandel. It'd fit considering all the shit Vandel did.
My assumption is that the trail of blood means her body was dragged away by Necromorphs.
A sad end to her character, but it's the most likely outcome from what we're given.

One thing that I always wondered about the Dead Space 2 story was how the multiplayer missions canonically ended. There are some that are directly involved in the main story and others that either have to either be inferred from logs or don't seem to have much in the way of information regarding them. But I've been curious about it since the game came out and hopefully I can get some thoughts and opinions on the matter.
To start off, I know that Solar Array ends with a human victory because the destruction of the tethers is the reason Isaac is redirected to the Ishimura. (this is concurrent with chapter 9)
Titan Mines was likely a necromorph victory as the teams sent into the mines were decimated and the necromorphs were able to reach the rest of the station (Maybe they succeeded and died shortly after, their success might have been the reason that the unitologists needed vandal to undo the lockdown, this would have taken place before the events of dead space 2, even prior to the start of Dead Space Severed) (Edit: There are portions of the opening sections of Severed that are similar to the area shown in this mission, seeing as it wasn't destroyed, it's all the more likely that they failed. So this ones a necromorph victory)
Escape was likely a human victory, as EarthGov replaced the Ishimuras escape pods and we find that several escape pods are missing during the main story. (This took place prior to chapter 10, likely during chapter 1 and 2 when the outbreak was in full swing)
I'm not sure about Fuel Core, I don't remember enough about that section of the main story to get a good guess. But the security team dies either way, either to the necromorphs or the explosion. It could be that they succeeded and the necromorphs used the destroyed bodies to create the tripod, or they failed and the horde merged into the tripod to become more deadly, but I'm not sure.(Edit: The fuel core is detonated by Isaac to destroy the Tripod, meaning the security team failed to detonate it and was likely wiped out, making this a necromorph victory. This would have occurred prior to chapters 7 and 8, possibly during chapters 1 and 2)
Marker Lab takes place at the end and in an area you have already passed through, considering the area was swarming with necromorphs I would say the team is overrun with the rest of the sector either way, if not they weren't able to withdraw to help Teidman against Isaac. Though they might have succeeded seeing as the markers were still somewhat secret prior to DS3 and the Unitologists had to sabotage them to start a major outbreak, or it was a situation where it didn't matter if they succeeded or failed, the markers would have been destroyed either way. (Takes place during or after chapter 13)
    (Addendum)
Concourse: In chapter 6 you see a number of dead security officers shortly after the gunship is destroyed, so it is likely this mission is a necromorph victory. The team was overrun and the gunship was diverted to kill Isaac. But seeing as this could have taken place prior (with the gunship breaking away from its persuit of isaac to rescue the remaining security personnel.) but considering these particular bodies weren't there in chapter 1 and 2 and they haven't been converted to necromorphs yet suggests their deaths are recent.
Still not sure about Academy, it likely happened after Isaac passed through titan elementary, but there isn't any evidence pointing towards either side winning.

I've played on concourse, its not really tied into the story, just some survivors calling an evac point in the commercial sector
EDIT: no one plays accademy but i think i "connected the dots" here, everything vargr said on the comment above is right, titan elementary and concourse seem to be just another group of the security team just trying to escape (with titan elementary being the first and concourse being the second and final act)

@@serlistogiette4168 on dead space 2 you go to multiplayer and queue up. It’s players controlling Security Versus Necromorphs; the Security players have a Pulse Rifle, a little stasis, and a secondary weapon based on your level. LVL 1 is a plasma cutter ofc.
Necromorph players have the Pack, Pukers, and the baby necromorphs to play as. You can change depending on how much time you’re willing to wait to respawn.
Security have to do an objective like hold a defense spot while someone hacks an objective or activated it in some way.

I mean, back in DS1 he knew at the end that Nicole is a threat and tried to persuade him to trigger a convergence event by bringing the marker back to the Aegis 7 colony. But why in the hell would he think that 'dead' Nicole in DS2 would help him destroy it?

    • @TheBritishRunner

Also when you reach the marker, he gives a speech in wich he said that they were close to understand the marker power source, and I kinda believe him, with earth so starved for resources that understanding could have turned things around for humanity. In the end it was unitology memebers that fucked everything up, and Isaac leads the whole horde to the goverment sector triggering the convergence event.

Dead Space just makes me think that all space faring vessels and stations should be compartmentalized and detachable.
Homeworld Cataclysm/Emergence taught us well that if there's an infection breaking out on your ship, if you can just detach the deck in which it's happening, you can save so much of the rest of it. Titan Station would've benefitted from the same design.

They said they would change a few story elements to implement later LORE elements (like hints and easter eggs about the brethren moons and what not, rather than a rewrite). They also stated they would removed some of elements of gameplay that players didn't enjoy (I hope that means a change to the zero G section) and one continuousgame like dead space 2. Other than that, it's supposed to be a faithful remake with one camera angle through the whole game.

As much as I enjoy the lore and collective storytelling of each Dead Space title...the video has some glaring issues that need adjusting for the future.
For starters, it's quite tiring to be sitting for a minute straight of listening to Dead Space horror music while scrolling the same five/six images, just for a title card of the next scenario. Recommend just putting up a title card for a few seconds with the images flashing in the background...not for a minute or more - I understand you need to increase video length for the algorithm at times, but perhaps instead of empty, wasted space...you fill it with more commentary, such as suggestions, questions, to lure the listeners/viewers on?
Second, the audio is a blaring 1,000% (even at 10% RUclips video volume), while your own voice is quieter than a Church mouse in the dead of the night. I would highly recommend adjusting audio tones so the music and sound effects of clips provided aren't so ear-splitting loud, that induces deafness in your listeners/watchers should they be headphone wearers, whilst keeping your voice near tone deaf - I get that Dead Space is about horror...the video does not have to be jump scare central.

    • @Skarwind
      @Skarwind 3 года назад

I love Isaac but I feel there’s no horror with him anymore he literally went through hell twice overcame his demons has seen the most horrible things that would make John carpenter blush he’s a certified badass, but I think if the series came back we should focus on other characters dealing with necromorphs or marker influence. I think a full fledged game where you’re play someone who isn’t immune to the marker influence and you can first hand experience marker manipulation and at the end (if the character survives) we’re questioning what is real or fake.

There's still story potential for a Dead Space 4. Earth may have been consumed at the end of Awakened but as far as we know Lexine and Ellie are still alive, two of the only known living people to be immune to the marker's influence.
