Thank you sincerely for these videos. They’ve been a great help. You explain things like my dad - lots of “that”s and “this”s. I don’t know what you’re referring to when you say “that” or “this”. Its a little hard to follow
Just a recommendation, it would be easier to understand if you had the carburetor on a stand and pointed out the parts with a pointing stick.
wait, wheres the rest of that video. i could really use it
Thank you very much
Really, your videos and help is appreciated
Thank you sir
Hello. Loving the channel. I have a question; would a 1 barrel holley carburator model 1920 4414-1 12r4252b, fir on an 81 f100 with a 6 cylinder 300ci engine? Thanks.
2:21 Do you hold throttle full open the whole time when placing or setting choke cap?
By holding the throttle open, is it releasing pressure against the choke plate?
I'm watching all your YF/YFA videos to learn how it works
I second that
I have a question sir I have a 65 mercury comet with a one barrel carburetor how do I connect a hose to the choke and to where plus my carburetor is also leaking from the accelerator pump any advice? Thanks 🙏
Rebuilding my YFA. Used to be a feedback model but has had bimetallic choke added. There is no choke pull off or solenoid. Should I be concerned about adding one?
I have a 1978 Ford F150 St. 6 bought a new carburetor for it Starts and runs fineand I’m trying to figure out where to wire the electric choke up to can you help me out thanks
@@MikesCarburetor Thanks man I will give it a shot this truck was given to me hang out with 67,000 miles on it 6 foot being four-wheel-drive thanks for the info Mike
Do you guys sell new carburetors
where does the hot air come from? do you just run a barb connection then run it to that port on the top side of the carb?
There is a pipe running down from the choke to the top of my manifold so that the warm air opens the choke gradually
@@MikesCarburetor is there replacement choke tubes?
Is there supposed to be a steel plate between the choke thermostat and the housing of the carburetor?
Isn't that the piece you can see just sitting on the bench at 2:48? Wondering why it's left out unless it was just for demonstration in the video.
My YFA is only about 5 months old. When I set the black cap and tighten the three screws the cap still rotates fairly easy. How easy to rotate or locked in place should the cap be in the three screws are tightened?
@@MikesCarburetor there's not a gasket. It's just the screws, plastic cap with hook and heat coil in choke. It's not electric it has the two hot air tubes that go down to exhaust manifold. By the way, should I put some kind of insulation cover on them? Instead of me asking at O'Reilly's or AutoZone, do y'all sell the gasket?
@@MikesCarburetor I don't see numbers on the side, but there's a tag: 152 D5TZ9510 AG G9K04
Part 2????
Be nice if ya finished the video.
how do you remove the plug at 1:15
@@MikesCarburetor I assume you just pop the new one back in. what is your part number so i can order one.
Frigg... choke sticking open. Never cleaned the choke pulldown piston.
Hard to follow with it constantly being waved around every which way.
