My 89 K5 is Red and White (Main body red, cap is white and white on bottom) with the grey interior. Silverado addition as well. Owned it since February 2003. I have pretty much had everything on the drivetrain redone/rebuilt. Run a 4inch lift with 35” BFG All Terrains on knock off Alcoas…dual steering stabilizers and dual front shocks..I had the gears done way back in 2006, went with 4:10’s Detroit in back Tru-Trac up front…Like this Blazer, mine is an extremely solid rust free all original GM metal Blazer….And is always a conversation starter when I drive it ✔️👍🙏… Absolutely enjoy the videos seeing all the different Square Body’s you have and come across ✔️👍🙏…Have a safe and blessed 2025…🙏🙏
Do you have any preferences on the brand of springs you use on your squarebody builds, some say Tuff Country springs give the best ride quality. Also, I really wish a 36x12.50r15 or 16" radial tire was available other than Interco, at times a 35 just looks a hair to small especially on a 6" lift
More and more rare to find anything in a 15 inch these days, unfortunately other than some offbrands and then of course Interco . As far as springs, everybody has their opinions a lot of it has to do with the weight of the vehicle, shocks, etc..
@@DavisDrives My fist squarebody was an 86 GMC High Sierra K1500 with a 3" Rugged Trail lift kit and 33" Mud Kings.....Bonus points if you remember Rugged Trail Suspension kits!
@@DavisDrives You would think with the rise in popularity in classic 4x4's from Squarebody's to Dentside Fords that a company would try to offer more of a selection for the 15" and 16" wheels.
I tell you what I would like to know about that truck, what the measurement is,from the bottom of fender over the tire to the ground with those 35s, the reason for it , I bought a 4” lift for mine, with 35s, an I sware I believe it’s a 6”” lift, or maybe the measurement from the tire to the fender
So we’ll do a video there’s actually another way to tell, that’s a good learning curve for some and informative also but I can get a measurement on this one for you when at that location that’s no problem
Once upon a time , we all knew that the jack would be under the hood in plain sight. Have you ever had to break out the owners manual on these newer trucks/vehicles to find out where the jack is ? They're hiding in such convoluted secret compartments , behind 2nd row seats , behind pop off interior panels (and trying to figure out how to remove " Said " panel). Then we have to figure out how to assemble all of these Mickey Mouse jack parts. Then the long assembled jack handle somehow goes through a hole in the rear bumper , that has a lock on it. Back to the owners manual , how do I unlock this piece of &$@..?!=k(;". Now the spare tire has to be jacked down from this cable/ jack/winch thingy . Now what's the combination and angle of holding the tire stop cable thing out of the center of the rim . Wonder if they still teach " How To Change A Tire " in drivers Ed. ?
That’s definitely not the way that they do it these days for sure. Some of them even have a special key that has to unlock the lock to lower the tire down with a special tool. It’s absolutely ridiculous and if the tire lowering system hasn’t been used a lot of times it’s frozen up what a disaster it can become.
Absolutely love it!!

We have very good luck with rough Country and superlift, but we use pretty much all the different brands pending what a customer is requesting

We fix that problem by producing our own wheel
How about the rear body mounts? My 89 rusted out in the back end
@@CharlesRamassini solid as a rock no issues back there but yes, that is a common area for issues
I didn't see it on the website.?
It’s on the website or at least it should be under 1989
@DavisDrives I like it a lot . What would ballpark ship to middle Florida cost ? I'll look again, originally looked under white paint . Thanks
