jeesh, I just got the 2017 version about 6 months ago from Amazon on sale...these performance numbers don't justify the cost of upgrading until the life cycle of this one nears its end and its on sale.
Nvidia has a sharpen feature on their Nvidia gpu drivers which seems like a very similar feature to this. I don't think it would be that hard to implement, although supposing that you could get it in emulation, might be far fetched.
There are overclockable kernels available for both 2015 and 2017 shields, would love to see a video on them and how they compare, apparently the GPU gets a big boost with increased ram speed.
That would be silly with out a big heat sink modded onto it. The new X1 is a much smaller die and is cooler but clocked 25% higher. Also uses half the power.
Good work! I was working on my review last night until my 3 year old kept running around the house and destroyed all my audio recording basically. The AI up scaling alone makes it worth it!
Thank you, ETA. Love your content, man. Just bought the 2017 shield about a two months ago, and looking forward to figuring out if this would be, in any way, a logical upgrade to that for emulation
