I've had a few but sometimes they are discontinued and sometimes they stop working with my body chemistry. Chanel no. 19 parfum was wonderful but then they changed the formulation. :( Right now I'm oscillating between Guerlain's Insolence eau de toilette & Mugler Aura eau sensuelle, which is now sadly discontinued and becoming hard to find.
I’m still searching, but for the past couple of years of been wearing Penhaligons Bluebell. Apparently this was also a favourite of the late Princess Diana. My favourite flower is the violet, and Id love to find a violet fragrance, but haven’t found one yet.
That's actually a great idea. Although I don't own a car. I imagine myself going to the next car dealership telling them I need to take my new perfume out for a test drive 😂
When I was a kid I had a perfume making kit and I made the most amazing rose perfume. I had spent YEARS looking for something even remotely similar but I never found anything so I eventually gave up... Come last week I was exploring some shops I had wanted to look at and I found Maison Louis Marie Antidris Cassis perfume. I had to smell it a few times but I kid you not it smells EXACTLY like the perfume I had made so long ago. The perfume is light and perfectly rosy without being overpowering. It is such a nostalgic sent for me and just makes me so refreshed, calm and happy.
I honestly didn’t think my signature scent would still be my signature scent. I was 19 and at a random house party. A girl walked through the hall and I followed her through the crowd. She had the bottle on her (of course as one does at 19) and spritzed me. I woke up the next morning with it still on me and I still love it to this day and it just reminds me of youth. It’s Burberry Classic Women and I will cry if it is ever discontinued.
I have a summer scent and a winter scent. Jo Malone's Mimosa & Cardamom for summer, and her Dark Amber & Ginger Lily for winter. I went through a phase with Tom Ford Black Orchid and Hermes, and to this day, the Hermes Un Jardin en Méditerranée reminds me of my wedding day.
These tips are great. I’ve never thought of separating scents by season! I do naturally tend to lean toward a warmer scent in colder months and a brighter one when it’s warm. I’d never given it any thought, though!
* For signature/everyday/office/skin scent I wear L'artisan's Tea for Two layered with Chasing Scents Tea Service. Smells exactly like a British colonial tea house! 🥰😁 I'm Anglo-Burmese/Eurasian so it really resonates with my family history. For hot days, I wear Kajal's Lamar, Memo Sintra, L'artisan's Histoires d'Oranges, Armani Prive Orangerie Venise or Penhaligons Cairo/Babylon, Indult Tihota or Frederic Malle's Cologne Bigarade, love my vanillas/citruses/fruits! * For nights, I wear Nishane Suede et Safran with Atelier des Ors Rouge Saray, or Frapin 1270/Speakeasy (more boozy leathers) * For cold weather, Halfeti Cedar, Nishane Karagoz, Spirit of Dubai's Turath, L'artisan Tenebrae or Francesca Bianchi Tyger Tyger, dark animalic, complex, dried fruit sweet, spicy and woodsy
I don't have any one signature scent but more like a signature set of favorite notes (jasmine, tuberose, rose, sandalwood, and aldehydes) that are a common thread in most of the fragrances I have loved over the years. ETA: My fragrance souvenir from trip to Paris twelve years ago was a bell jar of Serge Lutens Iris Silver Mist.
My mother has always had a signature scent. As a teen into my 20's it was Ralph Lauren in the red bottle all winter and New West the rest of the year. I was taught, season and day and evening. I now have three. Also, I change every 10 years or so.
My signature scent was always what my husband bought me for birthday or anniversary, until I used it up lol. I recently started using La Vie a Bella after sticking a sample card in my purse and loving it every time I opened my purse. I didn't know it was "common" but it suits me.
I try to keep experimenting with what works best for me and also try to ask around to see what people think of the products I use to get their opinion. Don't hesitate to ask your surroundings sometimes 😊
Yes! I love Black Opium and used to wear it until my co workers had an intervention with me and said it was “A LOT”. I was offended at first but in reality if it doesn’t translate well on me, why not listen to that feedback?
I had used "Daisy Eau so Fresh" by Marc Jacobs for my entire 20s. Now that I am 31, I feel that I've outgrown it and was looking for new scents. I picked up three which I really like and try to switch in between to not get "fragrance-blind". It's "Acqua di Gioia" and "My Way" by Giorgio Armani and "Paradox" by Prada.
Hi Audrey! So glad you brought up this topic. Fragrance is part of your overall Esthetic. It says something about who you are along with hair, clothes and makeup. As a recent “fraghead” perfume has taken me on a journey and taught me a lot about myself. If anyone is interested in learning more, I recommend “jus de rose”. She is ver knowledgeable and has a similar esthetic to Audrey, so very classy❤️🇨🇦
I agree Josephine (Jus de Rose) is lovely. Over time, I realised that my tastes are slightly different from hers but I still follow her because her descriptions of scent profiles are detailed and she had studied perfumes to back this knowledge up.😊
I'm incredibly picky with my scents. I think most scents are too overwhelming and absolutely not something I'd want to smell like. Sure, I had a few perfumes over the last years, but I almost never wore them because they weren't perfect. I liked them, but didn't love them. About a year ago I found a particular hair conditioner that made me addicted to its scent. It was so warm, so delicious, yet not cheap or too sweet. I was on a mission to seek a perfume similar to it. After a lot of googling, I found it in Lush Turmeric Latte. I never buy anything Lush and it was a blind buy, so quite a gamble for me. It's so good. It's warm, cozy, yet not boring or sickly. I now actually use it almost everyday with love and excitement. My sister yells at me every time she smells it on me, since she loves too. So happy to have found a scent that I absolutely love.
Wow! I love Turmeric Latte - creamy and delicious (I like a lot of gourmands especially during autumn/winter) Now I want to know what the shampoo is, if you don’t mind? 😊
@@gen_o the hair conditioner (also has a shampoo and mask with basically the same scent) belongs to Garnier .... Blends. In some countries Loving Blends, or Whole Blends, Ultimate Blends.. You get the jist. And then their Ginger line. It's not 100% the same as Turmeric Latte, but it's pretty good.
For me after spending years of collecting fragrance I’ve finally hit my sweet spot. I buy a brand, Montale, where the fragrances all have the same base DNA which I love. Then I can collect within that brand and I know I can’t go wrong.
Love this Audrey. Perfumes had always been more of an afterthought, much of the time they’d just give me a headache until I found Mon Guerlain and now I wear the lotion and perfume daily for the last several years. I love how I feel in it ❤
I've been using L'eau par Kenzo for over 15 years now. Having a very sharp sense of smell i found that adding perfume can be quite tricky for me as i often get headaches and don't get used to the scent but rather go the whole day feeling it. With this one i do not smell it at all from my skin as it sort of blends with my scent. I used to like Chnnel Chance Fraiche as an occasion wear in colder months, but after a couple of years i realized it doesn't work for me anymore. Loved the video, felt inspired to renew the search for something new that will be more suitable for colder months but still fresh and light.
I've spent years trying different perfumes simply because I love them! I curated a collection & now I'm down to 4 perfumes, all floral, 2 summery for warm months & 2 dark florals for colder months. One of my darker winter florals is discontinued so I will likely just keep the one "colder" scent.
I'm wearing a rose scent today :) "Orient Rose" by indie perfume house Solstice Scents - several types of rose with a light vanilla misk. Modern rose definitely fits your persona. Very classic, elegant, and composed.
I'm still looking for my own signature, but I tend to like amber scents, even in warm weather. I want to smell like it feels to cuddle up with your favorite blanket and read a good book 😊 but I also have fun exploring and trying different things! I've been on a white floral kick lately which is perilous for a migraine sufferer 😅
I'm anosmic so I can't smell, and I enjoyed this video a lot, I appreciate the insights you gave! 💖 I didn't know that scents interact with your own chemistry! I just have my husband pick out perfume and one time he bought me one and then a few days later he hated it! I was soooo confused! I get it now! In the future I'm gonna have him get samples first instead of just buying right away
I love soft floral fragrances. On special occasions I wear Ginger Essence by Origins or Jessica McClintock. Daily, I wear Reve D’or by L.T. Paver, which I originally bought for the bottle, but fell in love with the scent. It’s soft and clean, plus no one else wears it so it still stands out. I’ve loved all of these perfumes longer than I haven’t! As an alternative, I might wear a single essential oil; usually geranium or lavender.
I am so grateful for this video! For many years my signature scent was the original Marc Jacobs EDP. It was discontinued several years ago and I have tried ever since to find something similar that I liked as well. I have probably purchased at least 20 scents that didn't work out. Finally, thanks to this video I've found it! After researching the scent notes of Moro Dabron Of Gardens I felt it had so much potential that I just went ahead and ordered it. It is my perfect scent. The white florals that I so love, neroli, jasmine and tuberose kept from being too sweet with the light touch of citrus from bergamot and, as you say, nicely grounded with just enough musk and sandalwood to add depth and longevity without overpowering the more delicate florals. I love it.Thanks so much.
Omg, the original Marc Jacobs was my signature scent for so long! I haven't found anything like it! Do you think Of Gardens is a dupe? or it might be different but you're enjoying it as much as you'd enjoyed the origina MJ? I wish they would bring the original back. The Michael Kors which was out at the same time is still in stores, and I think MJ was the better fragrance. I even wore the men's MJ sometimes, as they gave me a small travel of it when I purchased my full bottle fo the ladies'...
This is such a lovely topic, Audrey! Scent has really become more meaningful and important to me on recent years. Amber scents are my signature fragrances. My favorite fragrance at the moment is Sacred Water from the Harmonist. It both soothes and energizes me whenever I wear it 😊
Love this Audrey. I currently separate my fragrances into winter and summer, but also into day and night. I find this a helpful division also. In addition to that, like you, I have at the moment a couple of signature scents, which are Dear Polly and Si. I just love Reflection by Amourage too but that’s a killer on the wallet 😩😩
After wearing Chanel No.5 for 40 years as my daytime scent, I’ve decided to retire it, at least for a couple years. I change my fragrances seasonally and always have, and after experimenting with various classic scents plus a few new ones during the pandemic, I’ve come up with a few new ones. Right now, I’m using up the ones I won’t keep in the lineup-I wear perfume every single day so it goes quickly. I still mostly prefer French fragrances since so many American brands smell “cheap” to me. Chanel & Guerlain will always be favorites.
Chanel No. 5 is so classy. It's the perfume of elegant women. I feel so Parisienne whenever I wear Chanel No. 5. Chanel No. 5 is definitely in my top five ❤.
Dear Audrey, I love your videos and your sweetest personality. As a suggestion for topics, could you make video on furnishing a room, like living room, a kitchen, a bedroom , so that it matches with colours and is minimalistic?
I loved this! Thank you, Audrey! My current favorite scent is Penhaligon’s Elizabethan Rose. I also love rose, and this one feels very fresh to me, as well as sophisticated and understated.
A dorm mate in uni bought her dream scent, “White Shoulders.” It smelled lovely, so when she offered me some, I was excited. Ugh! On me, it smelled like burning rubber and baby powder. One of my favorite perfumeries is Library of Flowers.
Beautiful video, shirt and music Audrey. I have no doubt you smell wonderful as your whole aura gives this impression of a beautiful dewy rose! I adore fragrances but you’re right - you need to try it on your skin. It’s not the same on the paper or from another person. I also agree with you, a weightier fragrance in winter with the woolly jumpers feels so cocooning and comforting. I’ll have to seek out the Penhaligons scent and give it a try! Thank you ☺️
Thank you for the recommendation, I’m turning 50 this year and I’m a huge wearer of Rose fragrances , I love Penhaligon and Florris and I wanted to find something new . So your video came up and my bottle of Buly Rose just came and it’s absolutely divine .. the smell is stunning . Thank you xx
I am the same with the idea of souvenir scent. Picked up Byredo's Lil Fleur while traveling this summer, and each time I wear it I am reminded of our journey. Still searching for something that comes close to Victoria's Secret Pink (2001 formulation)...it was my only scent for years, and still if I find a bit of it in a travel atomizer, I am immediately made happy :)
My favorite perfume to wear is Juliette has a Gun. It’s subtle, sweet, warm, and I don’t feel like I’m punching people in the face. In the summer I love the fun, coconuty, Tom Ford Soleil Blanc
Oh my goodness I can't believe this video topic!! I have been searching for over a year now spending/wasting a lot of cash can't wait to watch this hopefully it'll save me from another bad Blind buy!! Love you Audrey!
I'm kind of picky too, so one of the only scents at Ulta that I could see myself wearing is Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue, which works out because it's popular and I see it all the time at discount stores for cheap. It's the only perfume I've bought a full bottle of, and I looooove wearing it.
I’ve worn it for years and get lots of compliments from women and men. And I just purchased the Intense Light Blue which will hopefully last even longer on me. Maybe you too could try it.
I am literally on the hunt these past few weeks. The panic when your scent gets discontinued! Gone even off poshmark! I’m taking the opportunity to keeping Gio Aqua for warm weather, but hunting for cold weather. Timely video 👍
I have a mother with COPD and so I am very sensitive about scents that hang around too much and clogs the nose if that makes sense. I wouldn't want other people to have issues breathing when I am wearing a scent. So my personal scent is By the Fireplace by Maison Margiela. When you smell a fragrance that makes your eyes roll back, you know you hit The One
This was so informative! My mother in law wears a perfume that smells so phenomenal and I always compliment her on it. She gifted me the same perfume for my birthday one year and I sadly discovered it didn’t work with my body chemistry. It smells completely nauseating on me and gives me a headache too. Wish I knew about this concept sooner!
Fragrance is one of my love language! Thank you for this video Audrey, I learned some things. I would like to see a part two on scents if you please...thanks
Since you’re a fan of rose based perfumes - you should try A La Rose by Maison Francoise Kurkidjan. It was my souvenir of a trip to Paris and I love wearing it in the spring. It’s a beautiful fragrance - very fresh and green while capturing the essence of a rose. 🌹
I love variety and have a box of testers and travel size fragrances. My husband is very picky and I love his choices: Brokilan from Pineward, Lilac from Demeter and Thunderstorm, also from Demeter. The pine notes in Brokilan are so lifelike and I love wearing something a little bit coniferous when we go out together.
My signature scent used to be Lalique, but I find chemistry changes as we age and so what smelled great on us at one time changes. I love Versace Yellow Diamonds and Marc Jacobs Daisy in summer. The rest of the year I love Versace Bright Crystal. I’m also a fan of the rose scent.
I've tried many fragrances over the years, but one I always keep coming back to is 4711 Original. A couple of my favourites that have been discontinued are Ivoire de Balmain and Coty Muguet des Bois. I also like to buy fragrance when I am on holiday and current favourites are Smeraldo from Elba and a jasmine fragrance from Sicily.
I always find it interesting that compared to other creatures, human smell isn't anything crazy special, and yet, at least for me, it forms the base activation for so memories. I guess it's just how our scent works within our whole system hahaha. I still remember the scent in my grandparents' homes if I smell something similar or with a specific note, or certain people I meet, from just their exsistence around certain smells, like as not amazing as it is, my aunt and uncle smelling like a particular type of cigarette smoke. I still am on the search for at least just two scents I love, one for warm, and for cold weather. I think I struggle with describing what I love to people, I love woody/earthy things, but most of those scents have not been my jam at all. At the moment I tend to find sandalwood very nice and hmm actually not sure what it is, but it pops up in a lot of scents with "velvet" in it. Vetiver possibly? Which seems to be more common in scents for men. But I love your input on this, sometimes taking a step back and doing simple things like just trying everything you can is what does it!
I love L'eau d'Issey by Issey Miyake. It's elegant and timeless. Almost the same as yours. In the winter or for special occasions, I like Poison Girl by Dior
The only perfume I've liked recently enough to buy a bottle of is Mugler's Alien Goddess. It sounds like a lot of people don't like it or it's devisive but I love its beachy smell. Scents help me focus and ground when I'm getting spacey/dissociating.
For my 50th birthday I got myself Vodka on the rocks by Kylian, fresh, but not basic. This with Hermés, un jardin sur le Nil conform my summer fragrance wardrobe. And my autumn-winter collection is based on Dior Addict eau de perfume and Lune Feline by Atelier des ors,: oriental spices and some oud, are great for me during cold season.
I love the idea of collecting fragrances as you travel. What a great idea! I have experimented enough to know that people will tell me how great I smell when I wear an oriental fragrance. My body chemistry seems to love them. On the other hand, if the fragrance is described as “fresh” or “herbal” I will end up smelling like a newly mown lawn.😂
Great topic! Jo Malone's Wood Sage and Sea Salt for summer days, though lasting power wretched. Andrea Maack Smart, a clean musk, wears close to the skin, great all year. Coco Mad Intense a winter and cool evening favorite.
OMG! Thank you so much Andrey! This video is what I need right now! I've been thinking about finding myself a lovely signature fragrance but don't know where to start. Also, I like your vibe and your angelic voice! 😊😊
Henry Rose scents by Michele Pfeifer has become my favorite signature scents! Some are too strong, but probably meant more for men…but these are my complete essence! I love that they are clean scents as well…they are on the EWG safe list! I love Queens and monsters, jakes’s house, sheeps clothing, windows down….!
I do wear scents according to the seasons. Unfortunately I love vintage fragrances but I have enough to last me a while, stored in q cool dark place. Chanel, Dior, Caron, and Guerlains have ones I love.
Hello Audrey and everyone! I wanted to share something about matching perfumes to the weather. It's so amazing how in different countries different types of scents are considered to be for hot or for cold weather, for many reasons, but especially because of different humidity levels, not only temperature. That's why, for example, some people prefer 'light' citrusy fragrances for hot weather, while on other people it won't even stay half an hour because of different climate, so they tend to use perfumes with amber, oud and "heavier", more long-lasting notes instead. And sometimes it's just a matter of taste or habit. For example, I had never used some of my sweeter heavier autumn-winter perfumes in summer until I learnt that some people do, so I tried as well and it turned out to be great!
There is this inexpensive perfume that many would say is for a young girl but I enjoy it. Pink Sugar is sweet, playful, youthful and for many probably would be too much candy like. But I like it because I feel happy and carefree. And then there is sexual, or Le Labo Santal 33, and Carolina Herrera Good Girl and I find those to be for when I feel I need to be mature and my age. So I use scents in how I feel. But right now I been using Delina Exclusif was given to me. And I actually love it alot. It last days and days. Strong but airy. Lingering rose scent.
I like having a lot (perhaps too many) of options 😅 I do have a few specific ones for rain (Citron d'Erable and Philtre Ceylan, both by Atelier Cologne, and a Margiela Replica's Coffee Break), though I don't have specific fragrances for other situations. I just go by how I'm feeling and what I'm wearing that day. I rarely blind buy perfume, so I've collected a lot of fragrance samples over the years, and I like exchanging them with my friends. It's a fun way to share something I love with people I love :) I definitely enjoy a fragrance as a souvenir; I did that recently when I visited a friend in New York, and now when I wear it I think of him and the funny things we encountered that day and it makes me smile. That one specifically was Squid by Zoology, it's very easy to wear while still being unique for a marine fragrance, and I think the color of the juice and the illustration on the bottle are gorgeous.
Me too! How fun to associate scents with a memorable trip, right? Squid sounds intriguing; I still have to find my Zoologist match and have tried only Cow 🐮 and Bee 🐝 so far.
I love Penhaligan’s. Our boutique hotel in Seville had the toiletries from this brand in the scent Halfeti. And I loved it, it also has rose notes.. Once home I looked them up and was excited to see they sold perfume as well. I will need to check out this one as well.
In the summer I like smelling like the ocean - bvlgari aqua marine / like lemons - zara almalfi And in winter - Indian jasmine - I use natural perfume or the body shop spray / deeper marine scents - zara seoul For formal occasions I like vercase eros
I was always very big on perfume and always loved buying new perfumes. As of now i own 80+ bottles, but over the, years I've cristalyzed my favourites and i really love these: narciso for her (classic), d&g light blue, valentino donna born in roma, bronze goddess, armani code, jadore, chanel allure and chanel chance eau fraiche❤
YES essence of who you are should always come into it but we all get so carried away with all the hype of fragrances and ignore who we truly are and what we truly love. Thanks ♥♥
Great video! I've been looking for my signature scent for YEARS after sadly it was discontinued. I have bought fragrance as a suvenier a few times now and you are right it is magical!
I also buy perfume for souvenirs 😊. It makes the scent and the whole buying experience extra special. I love Buly 1803 - it’s alcohol free Audrey so that’s good if you’re sensitive to that and if you have asthma. Other rose 🌹 scents I also love and would recommend are: Matiere Premiere Radical Rose (rose-focused and very elegant) and Acqua di Parma Rose Nobile (mild for everyday wear). The Isnard Longo Mai is also nice if you happen to visit Grasse; they have a website but I’m not sure if they ship worldwide. The Portrait of a Lady is also a beautiful scent but I wouldn’t recommend it if you have asthma as even for me, I use it sparingly and spray it away from my nose and face. Aerin has lovely mostly floral fragrances - I’ve only sampled them but don’t own a full bottle. Always sample and try before you buy. 😊
On a chance walk through the Plaza Hotel many years ago, I encountered the Krigler House. This brand is timeless with scents such as Chateau Krigler 12 --rose, mimosa, lily of the valley--I am elevated by this fragrance. I am ordering sample sets of those you've featured to see where I travel with those. ty.
again, what a lovely video. I love Vanilla scents and am still on the hunt for the perfect one. my signature has been on and off Guerlains Jicky and also Curie Beluga, but I have 8 perfumes I use. if you like a light and airy rose try MFKs a la rose. it is lovely and the only rose perfume I have.
I found my fall/winter signature years and years ago - have gone through a whole 3.5 ounces of it lol. Haven’t found a spring summer signature though, still on the hunt!
Hi Audrey! I love floral scents too that are not too overbearing, I am wearing Gucci Floral Gardenia is lovely. I have recently discovered Sezanes perfume when it was scenting my package! I want to buy it , but they don't look like they ship it to the USA? Do you happen to know? I ordered the cream as that is what I can do for now.
Please please do a video on where to buy good quality pants (not jeans)! So many brands that aren't even cheap feel like they have really mediocre tailoring especially for the prices they charge ($150-$200).
my signature fragrance although I want to change it for a more "elegant" one among all the ones I have tried, it is "Fantasy" by Britney Spears, the old Fantasy, I have tried perfumes of all kinds, Burberry Her is my second favorite and the third is Mon Guerlain , the fourth is La nuit tresor a la folie. I am a lover of gourmand. But with that Fantasy I feel like myself since when it dries it stays forever on my clothes, skin and hair and in the background I smell a creamy and powdery sandalwood aroma. Everyone asks me what perfume I wear because it's a mouth-watering scent and it's my man's favorite. The best of all is that I have discovered a brand that makes imitations and it is ridiculously cheap, cheaper than the regular one, which already is, so I can't miss it, I love how I smell at all times, especially the warm ones because of how it mixes. the smell with my ph.
I love floral fragrances and my signature scent is Gucci Envy Me by Karine Dubreuil-Sereni but unfortunately it has been discontinued. I am trying to find replacement and so far the best I could find is Delina by PARFUMS DE MARLY but its kinda pricey for me so haven't been able to buy full bottle. I hope I find something soon! 🤞
I had a signature scent! My clothes smelled it like it, the inside of my bags smelled like it, people associated that smell with me. Now it's unavailable to me and I feel an odd sense of loss...like my sense of self is kind of...off-kilter, maybe?
I'm currently wearing Love Don't be Shy By Kilian, which is a favorite, but for a few weeks I've been loving a new (to me) discovery: L'Interdit Rouge by Givenchy. You might enjoy Maison Lancome's Rose Peonia, which is lovely and a nicer version of Delina. I don't know if you've tried it, but I'd also recommend you check out Malle's Portrait of a Lady, which I love but might turn a bit weird on my skin... Also, Tom Ford's Rose D'Amalfi is a nice sophisticated rose. Both of those are edgier rose scents. Back to lovely rose scents, I also think Aerin's Rose de Grasse and Rose de Grasse Joyful Bloom are beautiful. I love talking about fragrances!
Shockingly, my signature is Olympea by Paco Rabanne. Granted, I've tried many perfumes in the $100-300 range, but I've never bought anything over $300 and this one comes in at under $100. You just never know...
I like Estee Lauder Aliage or Chanel 22 edp for colder weather and Estee Lauder Tuberose Gardenia and Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue Eau Intense for warm weather.
If you love roses, you will adore the MFK a la rose. We all hear about the baccarat rouge but the a la rose is my spring summer scent (all year round really!) Also apogee from Louis Vuitton smells divine!
Hey audrey! I would be sooo happy if you could do a style video for plus sizes. I have a "mom pouch" and i don't know what i can wear, what will flatter me
I don't have a signature scent. I'm passionate about fragrance and like to collect. I rotate what I wear by the season. My last signature scent was La vie est belle, back in college, before it became so popular.
Etoile from Fragonard is my absolute favorite of all time. Similarly, I bought a bottle during a trip to Paris when I was 16 and though I've tried dozens of scents since then, nothing has come close. I also love Pemberly from Poesie Perfume, but it was a limited run and now I can't buy it anymore. ):
I still need to find mine. I keep finding scents that i think i love, even after wearing samples but then i get them home and realize that it didnt suit me for an every day thing, more like a once in a while scent. Normally more summery than what i actually need. I know i want something light and a little floral, but it needs a deeper undernote most times. Something more warm than what im getting. But all the warm things are too warm or overpowering. So idk.
I used to wear perfume all the time but most places are “Fragrance Free” because si many people have allergies now. Takes the fun out of dressing up now!
Do you have a signature scent? xx
I like to switch up 😊
SEARCHING!!
No, i cant stand perfume, but i like hearing your advice regardless 😄
The best test for me is to ride in the car wearing a new fragrance - if I dont get sick, it is good to go! :)
Great point! Same here 😎
Thats an amazing idea😂😂. I own 80 bottles, but i do get sick of a lot of them while driving in a car
That you created something as a child that you've loved, available to you as an adult? Outstanding!
70’s Barbie Perfume Maker??? Yes, I share the same rose memory. ❤
Oh maybe you'd like Rose & rose by Issey Miyake, it's light and fresh, been my favorite for years!
Jo malone has Red Roses, it has lemon so it smells a little citrusy.
you are so lucky, there's really nothing that compares to a scent memory
I honestly didn’t think my signature scent would still be my signature scent. I was 19 and at a random house party. A girl walked through the hall and I followed her through the crowd. She had the bottle on her (of course as one does at 19) and spritzed me. I woke up the next morning with it still on me and I still love it to this day and it just reminds me of youth. It’s Burberry Classic Women and I will cry if it is ever discontinued.
Buy backup bottles!
Its one of my best friend's signature scent!
So kind of the girl to share
* For nights, I wear Nishane Suede et Safran with Atelier des Ors Rouge Saray, or Frapin 1270/Speakeasy (more boozy leathers)
* For cold weather, Halfeti Cedar, Nishane Karagoz, Spirit of Dubai's Turath, L'artisan Tenebrae or Francesca Bianchi Tyger Tyger, dark animalic, complex, dried fruit sweet, spicy and woodsy
@@elizabethanne8729 Good on you for taking criticism. Always look out for ways to improve yourself.
@@dionnevisch3301 Thank you! I will check out the Garnier Ginger Line. 😊
what a wonderful story!
For me after spending years of collecting fragrance I’ve finally hit my sweet spot. I buy a brand, Montale, where the fragrances all have the same base DNA which I love. Then I can collect within that brand and I know I can’t go wrong.
Which one is your favourite? I like to wear Vanilla Absolu and Intense Taire.
I adore Jessica McClintock, but I thought it was discontinued.
I love Jo Malone Red Roses. A pure, fresh, authentic rose scent ❤
Audrey, you are just a treasure trove of info and inspiration!! 💖so glad I stumbled across your channel years ago!
My favorite perfume is Marc Jacobs, the original scent. Next to favorite is Chance by Chanel. I gravitate toward light florals.
Hello Audrey ❤ just bought the Chanel Mademoiselle original 😊
Tip 3 yes
My favorite perfume to wear is Juliette has a Gun. It’s subtle, sweet, warm, and I don’t feel like I’m punching people in the face. In the summer I love the fun, coconuty, Tom Ford Soleil Blanc
Oh my goodness I can't believe this video topic!! I have been searching for over a year now spending/wasting a lot of cash can't wait to watch this hopefully it'll save me from another bad Blind buy!! Love you Audrey!
I picked up a souvenir fragrance while in Paris over the summer. This was the second time. Great idea!
My favourite perfume is Officine Universelle Buly Scottish Lichen. I recently discovered this brand while on holiday in Paris. I love their packaging.
Yardley English Rose is my favourite, I've tried more expensive perfume's that are rose based, but l like Yardley because it smells only of roses 🌹
I have a signature scent, soft musk, that I've worn for a number of years and for all seasons. I really liked your idea of a souvenir scent.
If you love an elegant rose you should try Gris dior. It is understated and unique.
Oh and by the way, nobody wants her husband to smell her and think of his mom, amirite?!! 🤣
@@jcjccmz 🤣🤣🤣🤣
The pine notes in Brokilan are so lifelike and I love wearing something a little bit coniferous when we go out together.
anything by jacques polge. my fave is eau premiere chanel, but my wardrobe consists his other works as well for different seasons
My signature scent used to be Lalique, but I find chemistry changes as we age and so what smelled great on us at one time changes. I love Versace Yellow Diamonds and Marc Jacobs Daisy in summer. The rest of the year I love Versace Bright Crystal. I’m also a fan of the rose scent.
it's your sense of smell that changes not your chemistry - and it's largely a myth about skin chemistry anyway
...or Reach restrictions that made them change the formula
I've tried many fragrances over the years, but one I always keep coming back to is 4711 Original. A couple of my favourites that have been discontinued are Ivoire de Balmain and Coty Muguet des Bois. I also like to buy fragrance when I am on holiday and current favourites are Smeraldo from Elba and a jasmine fragrance from Sicily.
I love 4711…. It just doesn’t last on my thirsty dry skin. A beautiful cologne that makes me feel clean and summery
My husband purchased Dune for me while he was on a business trip to France. I felt so special as they were not yet selling it in the states.
The only perfume I've liked recently enough to buy a bottle of is Mugler's Alien Goddess. It sounds like a lot of people don't like it or it's devisive but I love its beachy smell. Scents help me focus and ground when I'm getting spacey/dissociating.
I also enjoy Juliette Has a Gun's Vanilla Vibes, similar scent.
It's a fun way to share something I love with people I love :)
I definitely enjoy a fragrance as a souvenir; I did that recently when I visited a friend in New York, and now when I wear it I think of him and the funny things we encountered that day and it makes me smile.
In the summer I like smelling like the ocean - bvlgari aqua marine / like lemons - zara almalfi
And in winter - Indian jasmine - I use natural perfume or the body shop spray / deeper marine scents - zara seoul
For formal occasions I like vercase eros
Sale alert: Zara having sale currently with huge discounts
Versace Eros is nice for Summer.
Thanks ♥♥
I just LOVE Penhaligons! Just visiting their shop is such a treat, so many unique scents.
Great video! I've been looking for my signature scent for YEARS after sadly it was discontinued. I have bought fragrance as a suvenier a few times now and you are right it is magical!
I agree. I always buy perfume from the places I visit.
Portrait of a Lady gorgeous! I live in Florida - too heavy for me during our eight months of summer but lovely in winter.
Maybe I can recommend a Swedish brand, FILIPPA K? Really great quality with a decent pricing.
@@KA-jo8vn i was thinking of suggesting the same! they are not cheap but worth the money!
my signature fragrance although I want to change it for a more "elegant" one among all the ones I have tried, it is "Fantasy" by Britney Spears, the old Fantasy, I have tried perfumes of all kinds, Burberry Her is my second favorite and the third is Mon Guerlain , the fourth is La nuit tresor a la folie.
I had that happen. It’s almost like I lost a piece of myself. But I have enjoyed searching for my new scent. I hope you find a new favorite too.
CK One since 1995! I like cleaner, brighter scents with a touch of citrus. I wear it all year.
Another gorgeous vid Audrey. I wear Santal by Le Labo.. but if anyone wears Portrait of a Lady I swoon...
Is there a website where you can get a variety of scent samples?
L’eau D’Issey has been a favorite for years. I still love it but hardly wear it any more as so many people have issues with scents these days.
Shockingly, my signature is Olympea by Paco Rabanne.
Granted, I've tried many perfumes in the $100-300 range, but I've never bought anything over $300 and this one comes in at under $100. You just never know...
I love Olympea so much. It smells so good
Olympea is lovely ❤
I like Estee Lauder Aliage or Chanel 22 edp for colder weather and Estee Lauder Tuberose Gardenia and Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue Eau Intense for warm weather.
If you love roses, you will adore the MFK a la rose. We all hear about the baccarat rouge but the a la rose is my spring summer scent (all year round really!) Also apogee from Louis Vuitton smells divine!
Hey audrey! I would be sooo happy if you could do a style video for plus sizes. I have a "mom pouch" and i don't know what i can wear, what will flatter me
Love this content. Same but different
What if people, like me, are allergic to perfume? My signature scent is my shampoo and body wash 😂🤣
I don't have a signature scent. I'm passionate about fragrance and like to collect. I rotate what I wear by the season. My last signature scent was La vie est belle, back in college, before it became so popular.
La Vie est Belle is beautiful. My BF loves it ❤!!!
wheres your green jacket from its so nice!
Etoile from Fragonard is my absolute favorite of all time. Similarly, I bought a bottle during a trip to Paris when I was 16 and though I've tried dozens of scents since then, nothing has come close. I also love Pemberly from Poesie Perfume, but it was a limited run and now I can't buy it anymore. ):
❤❤❤I like citrusy scents in summer time.
My favorite fragrance right now is New York by Kate Spade. I also love Gorgeous Gardenia by Gucci, Miss Dior & Light Blue by Dolce & Gabanna
So idk.
Beautiful colour blouse. It looks lovely on you😊
I used to wear perfume all the time but most places are “Fragrance Free” because si many people have allergies now. Takes the fun out of dressing up now!
