I wear fragrance for myself in the main ...I need to smell my perfume when wearing it ....I just wouldn’t invest in a fragrance if I cannot smell it, ...and then I also overspray, respray regularly....love love love to smell me ! ..couldn’t care less if others smell it or like it ...

I’m super basic 😬 but my signature scents are flowerbomb, black opium, la vie est belle, coach floral, Gucci bamboo, and jadore. My night time is alien goddess. I’m aware most perfumers will say that all of these are super basic and blah but for me they are amazing. I always reach for these and wear daily. 💖

      I love your collection.
Sometimes, I absolutely love a perfume, but, it doesn't work well on me. Then, I hear about other people who love wearing those perfumes & I am extremely happy for them because it works for them!!
I agree with the other comment: you wear perfume for you. Not anyone else.
      Beautiful Collection!!!

I love, love, love: La Vie Est Belle, too! I read many comments about how it's EVERYWHERE! Everyone in the world wears it, so, it's too common now !!! LoL! Then, they say: I'd never wear it because everyone wears it! LoL!!!
I feel really pretty when I wear that perfume. It makes me feel attractive! So, no matter what anyone else says, I'm still going to wear it!!!
I love J'adore, too, but it doesn't work with me. I love it & wish I could wear it. So, I'm happy it's one of your favorites!!!

You NAILED it with Coco Mademoiselle... “a citrusy, rose patchouli... for people who don’t like citrus, rose or patchouli.” My current signature scents are Mon Guerlain EDP, Susan B. Owens Child (great if you love powdery, white and purple florals), and a good gardenia (currently rotating between the OG Marc Jacobs and KKW Crystal Gardenia). My golden rule for determining a signature scent... what am I reaching for all the time, blindly? When I’m in a rush... what do I reach for, want to smell like. Thanks for posting! xo

I love this video and I also really like that when you say you have a "signature scent" you aren't only limiting yourself to one fragrance. You have fragrances that you reach for regularly rather than one fragrance that you reach for all of the time and for every occasion. Lately for me, Salvatore Emozione and Ralph Lauren Woman Intense have been heavy in rotation. It is hot and sort of muggy where I am right now and I wouldn't call either one of them a summer scent but they have been really hitting the mark for me lately, I just love them both and I am careful not to over spray. They are strong enough to be noticeable but not so strong that they overwhelm.

I think a lot of Chanel's frags would be great as signature scents. I've recently found my ss among them. It's Chanel 31 Rue Cambon EDP. It's fantastic and super versatile, I can use it every season, every ocasion, great for work, great for evening, dates, family events, causal outings etc. etc. And if I want to feel super special I have the old EDT formulation, which is heavier, more retro but has the same DNA. Plus Rue Cambon is not as popular as Mademoiselle or No5, so I feel super unique and quite fab when I wear it.

Great topic and I'm glad you mentioned all those points, I noted them down. I've been working on my signature for a while, I've had
a few in the past . I think the main points that you mentioned and I agree with is that a signature has to have these components
    1. Identity , and have a strong emotional response to
    2. Wear often
    3. Versatile

Have you ever had this situation when a person you’re not necessarily vibe with well wears a certain fragrance , so you don’t reach for it , but then at some point in your life you give it a go and it instantly becomes not only your favourite, but also (due to how much and for how long you end up using it) it ends up being your signature scent ? Sometimes you even catch yourself thinking : wait, am I just like this person that I am constantly clashing with?! 😅
Idk why, but my signatures right is are revolving around Chanel fragrances . Whatever I wear from the brand it constantly catches attention and I am being asked if something is Chanel on those days when I don’t wear it. Probably my total signature being Chance Eau Fraiche, which many people would find not very interesting , but I have so many good memories with this fragrance and it gives me these emotions that you were talking about.
Another great video.I am binge watching your videos right now.

If I had to pick signature scents, I’d have to go by which fragrances I wear the most throughout the year. My most worn fall and winter scents are PDM Carlisle, Kilian Black Phantom, and Guerlain L’Homme Ideal EDP. For spring and summer, the 3 I wear most are Creed Virgin Island Water, Creed Erolfa, and JPG Le Male Eau Fraiche (definitely my most worn). I have a close collection in size to you, so that’s saying a lot!

My Christmas time signature, is Youth dew nude, a reform by Tom Ford, sadly discontinued, but i have 3 bottles of them to keep me going, and my other oldies are Coco, and Cinnabar, which i used to wear as a signature when i was in my late teens, twenties, as a night out scent! I have been on a journey to find another one, and have found wonderful fragrances that I enjoy, but so far have not found a "signature" that I feel really expresses who I am the way that AF did. I will say that I have really enjoyed the journey, and your recommendations, though.

I remember when I received my first fragrance as a birthday present from my siblings, and it was D&G The One in the gold package. I remember when I once put it on myself when I had a practice in customer service in a college restaurant. Damn, I received so much attention. Especially when I was in the cloakroom and greeting customers, and I received so much attention from male customers, e.g., smiles. Maybe, because those perfumes are strong and sensual as well. I really recommend them, and I am thinking of getting them again. This is the D&G The One is the fragrance from my teens time I couldn't forget. Currently, I am using Versace Crystal. Those perfumes are nice, but I think they are more of a fresh fragrance than a signature fragrance. Also, I have Mark Jacobs in a blue bottle (I forgot the full name of it), and those perfumes are delicate and not too sweet. Also, I have L'Occitane en Provence Fleurs see Ceriser, and those are delicate and not too strong, but I will probably keep searching. In the past I tried Hugo Boss, the orange ones there were also nice. J'adore Dior, I fell in love, but I don't know I think you can get a better fragrance. I will keep searching. Also, I had one from Zara, and damn there were nice. There are many perfumes on the market that is hard to choose from. I will keep searching.

My signature scent is White Tea by Elizabeth Arden. Have been using it non stop for over 2 years now. I wear it to the office, to gym and when i'm out and about running errands or having a relaxed afternoon away from home with friends. I love it and can't get enough of it. Nice clean white spa fragrance.

Thanks for this❤ I was struggling with this idea of having only one signature scent. Because I have 3🙂. And all 3 from house Narciso Rodriguez. That dna just works with me so well and people cannot even distinguish them, they alwyas just say, you smell you.

I agree, I have close to 300 scents and I don't have that 1 signature scent. About 10 years ago, it was Perry Ellis 360 (the original) and about 20 years ago, it was Passionate Kisses body spray from Victoria's Secret which was retired as soon as it debuted.

While on the hunt for my signature scent after using Clinique Happy from age 14-32 I just needed something that I felt was more mature yet soft. I tried more than a baker's dozen or two... or three lol.
I blind bought one after watching reviews and hearing about it and the notes in it.
    And BAM! 💥
Signature Scent, immediate love. I turned right around, ordered 4 more bottles, and decluttered the majority of my other fragrances. (My daughters were happy to help take them off my hands lol)
I have a handful I kept for various occasions throughout the year, but I found the one I want to smell like daily.
Since picking it, I haven't even grabbed my others.
And, I found the perfume in a body mist.... Yes I got that too 😂
I'm happy the hunt is over, but I'll keep watching fragrance videos and reviews anyway 😂❤

I know what you mean by that visceral reaction to certain perfume chemicals. I imagine it's probably a natural initial response, so like you said, there may be hope of adapting to it eventually if you enjoy the scent. I actually had that reaction to a beautiful woolen coat that I once purchased from a store that will remain unnamed. Couldn't put it in the wash so I ended up hanging it on a steamer rack and going to town with a dyson fan. 🤣 Couple of spritzes with Heritage edt to infuse the fibres and voila, problem solved!

Everyone has something they feel they need or feel strongly about. I love a Prada fragrance I used to wear. It made me feel feminine and pretty…..the type of fragrance that makes you close your eyes for a moment or two and focus on that feeling before you leave for your day. I love the fragrance but I don’t “need” a fragrance. I “need” my health back, I “need” to have the life I used to have and feel no pain. Fragrance is lovely, but for me is not a need. I think I might ask my daughter for that Prada fragrance if it’s still sold. Much love to all in oneness! 🙏🏻💞🕊

I seem to go to Tiffany Intense more often than my many bottles, because it just seems creamy and soft all day. I also go to YSL Mon Paris Couture and Chloe Nomade Absolut. I guess I love variety too much to have a Signature, though Sand & Sable was my only perfume in my 20’s! It’s so rare that I can’t endure a fragrance but it’s happened whenever I’ve tested Aqua di Gioia, and also 2 of my recent blind buy bottles. I was shocked that I didn’t enjoy Alien Essence Absolut or Angel eau Croissier 2020, (which I was able to sell).

I didnt use perfume growing up....no one in my family is into scents. Then there was a time when I only had one perfume at a time and so I inadvertently had a signature scent. I don't know if they were appropriate for all occasions or all seasons....but I wore them! So when I was 20ish my bougie aunt gave me a bottle of coco mademoiselle and I wore only that until I was 24 or 25. Then I smelled black opium on my sister and as soon as I finished my second bottle of CM, I bought that one!!! I went through 3 black opium before I got bored.
I now have 7 smaller bottles, 2 travel bottles and a bunch of samples. My full bottles are PDM Delina, YSL Libre Intense, Mon Guerlain, Mugler Angel Croisiere, Mugler Alien, Jo Malone Wood Sage and Sea Salt and Jo Malone Blackberry and Bay. The travel ones are Citron 28 by Me Labo and Givenchy L'interdit.
Of the ones I have I would repurchase Alien (something addictive in that scent) and Delina. I would also purchase the Angel flanker but I think those are limited? I also love Wood Sage and Sea Salt...but it doesn't last! I need to check that oil out!
I am new to perfumes in 2020. Looking forward to finding something that can become my signature scent. And I have been really enjoying your videos. Thank you!!!

Alien, coco mademoiselle. Twilly, MFK anything unisex or femme from the line 540 edp and extrait A la rose, gentle fluidity gold, oud silk mood. D&G the only one intense, garden, light blue intense cloud (only for beach or pool atmosphere), chanel chance edt. and Mon Guerlain super easy reach and so comforting.
I would love to see your 300 bottles different fragrances in your collections.
Manifesto smells identical to Brittany Spears fantasy. I tested them side by side. I found manifesto is just more powdery version.

Mine is MFK Gentle Fluidity Gold. And unlike you, it was love at first sniff! I loved it and got addicted from the very first moment I put it on and ever since. I went through samples and decants and I now have the bottle-. I can see myself never tiring of it, and I have quite a few fragrances I love (not like you of course lol) but I always come back.
Omg and a fragrance I don’t love but will not leave me for the life of me is La Vie est Belle. Ugh I’m so over it. It was a gift and I have the 200 ml so I have to wear it sometimes but dear god I don’t enjoy it and on me it’s like super beast mode!!!

I suppose mine is Tom Ford’s Metallique. I’ve gone through a large bottle already. That one just agrees with my body chemistry. It also has a very happy scent memory from my childhood that I cannot quite pinpoint. I must be careful to not wear it too much. If I overdo something I get burned out. I wore Chanel Mademoiselle for years and that happened.

I definitely get it when you say certain perfume can give you certain feelings. I love Shalimar sooo much but it makes me so, soooo sad! I don't know why, and if it didn't get me sad every time it would be my winter signature.
