Your thoughts on Burberry Her as a signature scent were my thoughts too, UNTIL I detected it on people at university and it made me understand it a lot more. One or those times i detected it on a director of another institute. In fact her office smelled of it even when she wasnt there. The director especially made me realise it was a power move to wear it. Smelling as sweet and girly as you please, but still being everything professional and role-model.
I like both. Emma is calming and relaxing, but sometimes I need to wake up. I just finished this video and now feel like it's nap time, but I need to wake up...bring on a shouter! 😂
Personally, Glossier You was actually a life changing fragrance for me, it came into my life at exactly the perfect time❤it’s so calming and attractive with so much sensuality
I was seconds away from buying a bottle and then I read a couple reviews saying it did not last long and you could not smell it after an hour or so. Is this true?
@@karaconiglio986 it’s not a beast mode projector fragrance but it doesn’t disappear after one hour it’s just sits closer to the skin. I find that I usually get medium to light projection but it’s usually lasts like 5+ hrs, at least on my skin
If you want something that is a sweeter, fruitier version Donna Born in Roma- try Valentino Donna Born in Roma Coral Fantasy! It's like an elevated, boujee version of a Bath&Body Works scent I think is the best casual way to describe it haha, And if you're looking for a smokier, sensual version of it: Valentino Donna Born in Roma INTENSE! If you like the original, I think these varieties could be really nice :) Great video Emma,! This was so relatable and as someone who's tried practically (almost) all of these, I know exactly which ones I wanna try and take a look at :D Edit: Glossier YOU is my signature go to
As a fellow retail worker... Yes, people absolutely don't know what "floral" means sometimes. They also don't know what sandalwood smells like, they usually just like the idea of it but as soon as they smell a sandalwood-dominant perfume they scrunch their nose at me 🤣
For stopping a cold from coming you can try tea with actual ginger root and lemon a couple times a day 🍋 also garlic is good for the immune system, but it’s hard to eat a lot of it ))))) if you can eat some fish dish, it could be beneficial too - I’m not a doctor but I heard that omega 3 from fish helps Oh and dark berries and green herbs like parsley Get welllll
I think an amazing signature scent is Chloé Nomade. One of my friends wears it all the time and people compliment 😂her quite a bit. I love it on her, but it doesn’t work on me, sadly. I will have to test some of the fragrances that you mentioned here. Thanks for the recommendations! Edited to add that I hope you feel better soon!
I hope you feel better soon Emma!!🥺and OMGGGGG I’m SOOO happy you recommended by Rosie Jane Rosie. It is extremely underrated. It reminds me of a baby, and it literally gives me the most compliments. Every person who sat next to me at work said I smell good.
I took all of these recommendations and went in to try quite a few! I ended up really liking Parada Paradoxe (not the intense). I also want to try out Juliette Has a Gun Pear Inc. I thought I was always more of a vanilla girl, but these 2 perfumes were awesome. I had such a hard time deciding between Paradoxe and Paradoxe Intense (and ended up giving myself a migraine).
This gave me so many great ideas for potential gifts! Since the holidays are coming up, have you ever done a perfume gift guide we could explore? Love this :)
I just got into this hobby about six months ago, so I'm still pretty new. I think my signature scent is probably Louis Vuitton Ombre Nomade, but I really like Myriad too. I have probably worn Parfums de Marly Perseus the most, because I love that ambergris scent dry down, and it's been pretty hot here for the last few months. I really like Bond No 9 Nomad too, and Xerjoff Alexandria II layered with Erba Pura. I love Nomad and Alexandria II because they're sweet oud fragrances. They both have this sweet, fruity top note and this oud dry down, and Nomad in particular kinda reminds me of Louis Vuitton Matiera Noire. I'm really hoping to get PDM Haltane and both Xerjoff Tony Iommi fragrances, more Montale, and probably some Mind Games, because I love J'adoube so far, and some Guerlain fragrances like Cherry Oud and Feve Gourmande. I tried those, and fell in love. I can't wait to go back to the fancy mall, that I visited last month for a vacation. I got to try so many amazing fragrances, that I had never even seen in person before!
Juliette Has A Gun Musc Invisible sounds like a great fragrance. And even though it's marketed for women fragrantica has voted it as unisex. I also agree, you can't go wrong smelling like clean laundry. "Thanks Emma." 🙂👌
great video! I hope you feel better soon!! 😢 the best way to recover quickly imo is to take a fever reducer like Aleve or Advil and then enjoy a hot soup (even instant ramen will do). lots of rest, of course. i think guzzling tea is a great idea, and i hear elderberry supplements are helpful. my partner swears by the Pei Pa Koa syrup if you can get your hands on it - it's more throat oriented, but it's really easy to drink and it helps me fall asleep faster when I'm sick lol. you can follow the instructions on the bottle or just double the dosage and add however much hot water you want to your dose of syrup, mix, and then enjoy. i am not particularly a flirty person in my mind (or maybe i am???), but i really like Burberry Her! i love that someone can make such a sweet, berry-forward fragrance yet make it sophisticated. my favorite soap-like/clean girl scent thus far has to be My Burberry, if i could offer an alternative clean scent. Goddess was more grown up than i had expected, but the packaging very much matches the vibe of the perfume. 👍 personality wise, I feel like i would match indigo nest. I'll have to give that one a sniff when I see it in Sephora! thank you for such a well researched, thoughtful, and accessible video for perfume newbies!
Soo ruthless, thank you so much! I wore a mask in all public transit and somehow it came for me. On the bright side, I am sick in France! Hope you are doing well
Perfect timing! I've been binging your videos the past few days looking for new fragrances to try. I'm just starting out so this video is incredibly helpful!!!!!!!
Invisible musc is one of the best JHAG, hands down. I love it so much, I'm obsessed with it, I'd wear it for every occasion, it fits really well for like everything. Feels classy, clean, ethereal, I just love it.
Hope you feel better soon Emma, Great recommendations . Drink ginger tea . Boil whole spices like cinnamon, cloves, ginger, pepper and cumin seeds , strain and drink this water. It will reduce the sickness.
Hi my Emma!! Great video! I would drink any type of emergency packets and add is to a juice. Tea is dehydrating so if you want hot/warm… hot water lemon and honey will be just fine. Also, water with ACV and honey will do wonders if there is a little mucus in your throat and chest. I hope this helps 😍
Spicy broth, orange juice! But also wearing a good quality mask (N95 etc) on public transport and crowded indoor places like malls has been life changing, I had 0 cold or flu last winter
Of the Libre flankers my favourite is Libre le Parfum. The original and intense are definitely gender neutral. I found the “le Parfum,” version is the least “aftershave-y.” I love Donna Born in Roma Intense as well as the original. Armani Si Intense is perfect for fall too.
Definitely bought YSL Myself when it came out thinking it was unisex or womens lol! Not that it matters but didn't realize its under the mens section on the website...
Great video. I will add SKIN by clean reserve. Lovely every day signature scent. Good for all occasions. I would say Sol De Janerio 59 to. Also take NAC and Oil Of Oregano to heal FAST.
I love perfume and like a fragrance that is quite strong. I’m a fan of the floral orientals. I wear Guerlain Samsara, Nahema and Jardin d’ Bagatelle. However, I never ever get a compliment on any of those. Maybe people don’t pay compliments much but I always complement someone on their perfume.
Prada Paradoxe Intense is AMAZING! As well as Musc Invisible by JHAG. Bought a full bottle of both most recently and wear them to death. Great list by the way. I have most of these❤
Burberry Her is my date night romance scent! It’s such a crowd pleaser. Another one of my date night favs is Bright Crystal (Versace). I am definitely going to try out your picks!
Could you review cypress&grapevine by Jo Malone? It's my favorite together with red roses and I've been wearing it everyday. I'd be happy to hear what you think. I think it smells pretty masculine with some softer more gentler qualities.
Find some home made chicken soup to help you feel better. Now, two comments. First, is that cardigan from Sezane? I love that colour on you and the cardi looks like the perfect warm fuzzy. Second, I am a big fan of YSL Libre EdP. It is my signature scent, which I also love in combinations. One is layered with Lalique Amethyst Eclat (because the black currant softens the lavender). The other is layered with Nest Madagascar Vanilla oil (to amp up the vanilla). Libre EdP is like an LBD. I can dress it up, down, or wear it on its own.
Glossier you didn't appeal to me when I first smelled it, but now I love it, but more for selfish reasons....I feel like I use it when I am going to bed or just don't want anything strong.
Emma!!! I found a brand called ‘Mistral’ and I believe it has both women and men’s fragrance. But I LOVE wearing the bourbon vanilla scent from them because it seems unisex to me. I’d love to see a men’s cologne video from you 😄
I am just at the start of my fragrance journey and I unintentionally seem to gravitate towards the classics and eau de toilettes: Hermes Jardin sur le Nil and Issey Miyake L‘eau d‘Issey. Most fragrances in our drug stores smell very similar to me and these two have stood out to me, even roughly 20 and 30 years after their introduction. Currently I wear Hermes Sur le Nil more often but maybe L‘eau d‘Issey would be great for the transition to winter? I‘ll try to find out more about your recommendations, I really like your videos and have been waiting for an account like yours for years!
I hope you have a lovely time in Europe! Did you pick up some scents not available in Canada? Here in the UK Shay and Blue is an affordable niche house I love! I was really surprised that I liked the green Valentino. I used to work in a tea shop and I hated the smell of Lapsong Soushong! I felt it smelled like band aids! Suprizing I do like that flanker. My husband lovesssss Glossier You on me! he makes these cute sniffing sounds when he smells something on me and I know its a winner! The other he adores is Burberry Her. I do not know if you will bring this one up later in the vid but my ADHD had to comment before I forgot what I was going to say lol!
3:00 i really think the green-stravaganza flanker smells like a jelly sweet/gummy bear. I picked up a 30ml a couple weeks ago and I really like it but I find it to be VERYYYYYY sweet
Oh, i hope you’d be better soon. I’m not sure where you are in Europe but lots of my friends report recently being positively tested for Covid. I’d buy a test just to be sure but the best cure is now sleeping and resting 😄
Emma - I'm 56 for context. My mom would wear White Linen by EL - very floral right? And so I just grew up thinking that is what perfume is and I don't like perfume. I thought that up until recently. I liked Love's Baby Soft back in the day but again, I never thought I liked perfume. In the last year, for some reason, I started smelling perfumes and finding so many that I love that are not floral - yes, so for me, I would say floral is not my favorite category. But I do own Donna Born in Roma. Side note, I was in the South of France in June and walking up streets and jasmine was in bloom - OMG, such a beautiful scent. So it makes sense to me why I like DBIR. I also like Delina Exclusive. My favorite category is Amber Vanilla.
Funny enough, White Linen is an aldehydic scent! It is floral, but the main notes you are smelling are aldehydes. So maybe it is worth checking out some modern florals! Your trip to South of France sounds like a dream, I would love to go sometime and I will have to smell the jasmine. Thank you for your kind comment!
Miami nectar is delicous💕💕 and burberry her ugh yes💕💕💕 my coworker asked if i was wearing baccarat when i wore burberry her. I never smelled baccarat so idk
I feel like nothing fits me when I go looking for a scent. My favorite is imaginary authors whiff of waffle cone but it’s just a fun occasional scent. I have such a hard time finding what I imagine to me perfect for me. I’d love a tea latte scent, And I would REALLY love a warm, cotton candy and sawdust scent… someday I will find it! Lol
Im dying to try Indigo Nest but it is not sold where I live and I cannot find decant either :( Do you guys have any dupes or similar scents on more popular/ mainstream brands?
I wear Stella McCartney pop to the gym. To me, it's fresh and super cheap so I don't care to waste it for a gym session. As a person who sweats a lot while training, I think people appreciate me using a perfume😂
I dont love glossier you but i really want to sample the flankers. I do prefer myth and not a perfume for that barely there category. I really want burberry her edt and chloe for everyday signatures.
I honestly don't even think about occasions/time of the year/day when I wear a parfume. I wear what I like and that's it, so I am curious to know if really has that much impact on your day choosing the "right" parfume for the moment.
Your thoughts on Burberry Her as a signature scent were my thoughts too, UNTIL I detected it on people at university and it made me understand it a lot more. One or those times i detected it on a director of another institute. In fact her office smelled of it even when she wasnt there. I love this description. Power girly can definitely also be professional!
I like that you talk very calmly and quietly. I can’t stand some reviewers almost shouting on me. Thanks for that.
I like both. Emma is calming and relaxing, but sometimes I need to wake up. I just finished this video and now feel like it's nap time, but I need to wake up...bring on a shouter! 😂

Emma whispering mindfully in her hotel room abroad while psychoanalyzing perfumes is everything I never knew I needed
I recently got into fragrances and have been watching all your videos to learn more and find my signature scent. Then you posted this-perfect timing!
We love an unintentional Emma ASMR!! 👏
Literally was going to comment something similar! I actually loved the whispery perfume explanations.
Indigo by NEST is my signature scent, so happy to see it in this video!!
I was seconds away from buying a bottle and then I read a couple reviews saying it did not last long and you could not smell it after an hour or so. Is this true?
@@karaconiglio986 I get ~5-6 hours from it. I do wish it was longer but it's SO good.

It’s my date night scent but I want to gatekeep it lolol
It is so good, I grabbed a travel bottle after watching this video and I love it. I wear it even if I am not leaving the house.
Yesss Green Stravaganza got its debut 💚💚💚💚

Thanks, Emma! I love your videos. What I would love to see more of is fragrance/house reviews from less common countries, like you did with d'Annam.
Okay you convinced me to get my nose on Paradox Intense and Born In Roma Green Extravaganza today. Thanks, Emma

Juliette Has A Gun Musc Invisible sounds like a great fragrance. And even though it's marketed for women fragrantica has voted it as unisex. I also agree, you can't go wrong smelling like clean laundry. "Thanks Emma." 🙂👌
I would completely agree with it being more unisex. The scent reminds me of aftershave or shaving cream.
I’d say it could be worn by anyone. Any gender. And they also have another great skin scent called Mmmm. Both are excellent. Done really well❤

I feel like nothing fits me when I go looking for a scent. My favorite is imaginary authors whiff of waffle cone but it’s just a fun occasional scent. I have such a hard time finding what I imagine to me perfect for me.
I’d love a tea latte scent,
And I would REALLY love a warm, cotton candy and sawdust scent… someday I will find it! Lol
Appreciate your thoughts on these as I do shop Sephora for perfumes. Thoughts on Clean Reserve Skin?
Im dying to try Indigo Nest but it is not sold where I live and I cannot find decant either :( Do you guys have any dupes or similar scents on more popular/ mainstream brands?
Love your videos emma! Hope you feel better soon ❤
I’m late to this party, but girl… I’m going to Sephora today because of you. Can’t wait!
Nooo wait for the sale! It starts on friday!!
@ I would, but it’s my birthday month and I haven’t gotten my gift yet 😂
I wear Stella McCartney pop to the gym. To me, it's fresh and super cheap so I don't care to waste it for a gym session. As a person who sweats a lot while training, I think people appreciate me using a perfume😂
girl ive been sick too!!! 😭 make sure to rest up!!!
feel better soon!!
So relaxing !
Yay new video!🎉🫶
please please please do a video on mens fragrance
Lovely review ❤😂
