The actual feud and drama ended in 1890 when"Cotton Top Mounts was hung in Pikeville, Ky. After that event the feud and the arguing disappeared. The Hatfields posed for alot of photos through the 1890s and early 1900s. Considering that this rifle started being produced in 1892 and the fact that theirs been tons of old rifles and shotguns that were claimed to be feud related, it is over 95% doubtful that this rifle is feud related.
It may have been owned by Cap Hatfield, but it is highly unlikely

I lived in Mingo County WV doing some construction work. Probably the worst of the entire WV i have ever seen. The area looks like Haiti after earthquakes and the people pride themself for not having any jails but having 534 cementary's. I rather hang out with the children of the Corn then having to go back to Mingo County.

WHY do the people always tell them what they want for the object before the “expert” is called? That gives the pawn shop an unfair advantage.....the pawn shop can ask the “experts” to value it higher or lower, depending upon the situation.
