In "I Used To Skate" starring Professional Skateboarders Stefan Janoski and Guy Mariano, we roam the streets of Venice Beach, California looking for people who "used to skate". Who would have thought, it's actually HARDER to find people who "used" to skate than who currently do skate? As skateboarders, we are all familiar with that moment when we are getting kicked out of a spot but the "cool" cop tells us it's ok, he gets it because he used to skate...or when the rad dad walking down the street stops to let us know he grew up in the "Tony Hawk Days" and he used to skate. Nike SB's Stefan and Guy meet some fun and interesting characters along the way. There's an older woman who grew up skating with Mark Gonzalez, we chat with Duane Peters, a new movie is created called "F Skating I Quit" and Stefan explores the possibility of starting a new chapter in his life as being a street performer on Venice doing "Rodney Mullen 360s" for cash. Stefan shows us how to do a 360 flip, Guy shows us the iconic Venice blocks where he shot legendary tricks in his "Girl Skateboards: MOUSE" video and also his more recent tricks on a popular curb by the Venice Beach Sign. Oh yeah, and (sand) Santa used to skate...although, he is mongo. I used and still skate. And now that im sober for almost a year now i enjoyed more my daily day being a true father for my son. Being his life model. Im happy being the man i become.. i though that ill be bored skateboarding sober because i was always on drug or drunk when i used to skate but the first time i putted my feet on my board was pure heaven. Last summer i unlocked 45 new tricks/variations and im proud not for the tricks but finding myself after almost 20 years of self destruction. Yeah i will skate till i die for the feeling that brought me. Feeling alive again. Happy Christmas and big cheers from Québec Canada 🇨🇦😊💪😎💪

I had a Santa Cruz R/S 10, I think it was called Optical Illusion. I think I got it for Christmas in 84. It hurt my eyes to look at it. It had those old plastic guards all over it to protect the nose , the rails, the tail and the Independent trucks. Good times. Damn I’m old.
