I'm not a skater, I ride BMX and Downhill MTB. But the one thing I truly love about skaters (and all action sports really) is the determination. Even someone as otherworldly smooth and talented as Horigome still has to try things over and over. It means he is pushing himself. Having a mental battle to go beyond what is comfortable. To look failure in the face even when it hurts and say screw that, we go again. Especially in street skating, these guys are absolutely warriors who are just built different. Yuto has me watching skate videos out of the blue for the first time in ages. Legend.
By far my favorite type of video, raw and uncut. Feels like I got to be there when I see the attempts, makes, bails, warm ups etc. I wish every brand would release raw and uncuts.
Et maintenant il est retombé au plus bas niveau. Le niveau où il lui faut 10 essais pour réussir un tricks banal. En plus il est déprimant à regarder. Tout le monde a déjà oublié ce type
Yuto is acutally insane, the bigspin out itself was some next level shit. But that nollie heel nose he did first was the best one i have ever seen, perfect.
Damn that kink rail broke him, i love seeing when spots win sometimes only because it shows how hard street skating can be. Yuto can easily boardslide that kink rail in a park.
No bro that kink rail was garbage and it wasn’t worth the clip; his TM or whoever took him there is an idiot. Yuto is the gnarliest skater on earth right now. A boardslide down a kink is baby food for him Edit: maybe he had other tricks in mind but there’s no redeeming features of that rail. Steep as fuck and quick kinks..
The steepness of that whole situation is not accurately conveyed in that shot. He gets props from the CIty just for the attempts, it's an insane spot. Obviously, not a rail showing up in many clips for good reason
@@leafs34 You are not wrong, but your edit was where i was going with this comment. i.e. we know Guy Mariano is a step skater, meaning if he gunna backside flip a table, he gunna back 180 it first. So i was thinking it was going to be a front board then maybe something crazier after
I’m born and raised in SF as a skater. Skated with many big time pros back in those days. I watch these skateboarding SF videos in hopes of catching a glimpse of all the iconic spots I grew up skating. Maybe those places are gone or have restricted access now. Fort Miley was one of my favorites because I lived close by. The Golden Gate Park casting ponds was awesome when they drained it. Lots of cool local spots.
This was one of the best feeling edits and filming I have seen in a very long time. Like, I feel like I went around town today, skated through alleyways, hung out at some spots with the homies. And just happened to get to watch the most talented skater in the group melt our minds.
Shows why he's the Olympic champ !!! I love how he can goes from struggling during his warmup, like any normal person, then shift gears to pull crazy shit. also, he's break falls are insane. life savior skill.
Has to be one of the heaviest tricks to ever be done on clipper. incredible. The hangup on the double kink rail was one of the heavier slams I've seen in a long time too.. Horrific.
Been skating this ledge years.. friends and I took off one of the many sets of “stoppers”they’ve put. It’s STEEP, you come off FAST, it’s crazy he was able to spin that! 👏👌
unbelievable talent, but was scary watching him switch bomb through that crossroads without a spotter, stay safe Yuto too many young gs have perished on those hills
Yuto was getting off and all that. THAT’S UNDENIABLE, but THANK YOU MR. KEVIN PEREZ FOR GIVING THESE RAW FILES TO THE PEOPLE. Your channel is bussin’.+
I loved when they showed all the struggles to performance a trick Struggles give you strength, give you courage as skater all blessings to my fellow friends.
those first little tricks by dolores park, the random roll off the ledge, ollieing over a trash bin, bombing the entire hill after that shuv it gap just because, and then nailing a perfect nollie heel noseslide then heading back up for more, yuto is literally just skating around for fun, he just happens to be among the best in the world.
This is the kind of footage I like. This is talking the sport by storm. I was planning on going pro, but I reached the level of needing to start breaking bones and balls and gave up lol. Been a while but damn they've come a long way in tricks and lines over the last 10yr!
Yo how did he survive that double kink slam well enough to skate clipper the next day. Or maybe it was reverse order? Either way, talented at skating and talented at falling
Man I think if I could pick any city in the world to live and skate in, it would be SF... so many sick spots, year round skating weather, and a great skating culture.
YUTO is incredible! WOW Its good to see the raw tries behind the tricks! I skipped the boardslide slam because i dont want to see such stuff! The one used in the part was enough for me! Big thanks to Kevin Perez for showing us the raw material! (;
0:10 walked by this spot once and almost immediately thought it looked so skateable but obviously never tried since i'm no where near the level needed to do that jump
Skateboarders rule the world! They are everywhere! They are more in tune with their environment and part of their surroundings more than most other athletes except maybe parkor. Except parkor doesn't have loose flying noisy skateboards that piss some people off. 😮 😂 😅
I love how theres hockey practice going on right by him skating. Like a bunch of people playing a "real" sport with a dedicated rink yet none of them would have the balls to do what yuto is doing. Not disrespecting hockey.
Thanks!
THANK YOU!! I REALLY APPRECIATE IT 🤝
Big ups Kulla!
Let’s go Kulla. Ol buddies getting it❤️❤️💪🏾💪🏾
Really great skateboarder

Killa Kulla the man!
I like these raw, uncut behind-the-scenes videos better than the actual video parts.
Same
same
Same
This is what real skateboarding is about! The process and the present moment, video parts are cool but that's just what sells
I always loved watching it because it shows that even pros are not perfect all the time. Makes them seem so human

4:33 I felt that fall, and that "life flashing before his eyes" look is clear. Skating in San Francisco is a different beast.
That was a harsh slam!! That would have taken me out for at least a month!!😮😖😖
His athleticism is just amazing, that woulda killed me lol

The way Yuto has brought skating to the next level is just unbelievable

Mr. Perez you are a legend for uploading and sharing these! Those lens have witnessed some crazy stuff go down
His bails are so unbelievably graceful, genius stuntmen honestly
Yuto is coming strong this year, as does Sora. The Japanese kids are killing it. Hyped to see the rest of the competitions.

The 4x8 sheet of plywood is still indispensable to skateboarding yesterday today and forever. 😊 😮

Best nollie heel nose i have seen in my life.
The hill bomb after the switch pop over da street gap was insane

Fun SF fact: the kinked rail he wasn’t able to boardslide is on Vermont Street which is actually the windiest street in SF, not Lombard.
Wow what a solider. Fighting a battle. Love the uncut footage really shows how hard he is working for a single clip
