I can somewhat relate to this. I skated the 12 and 16 sets back in 2005. I board slid the 12 a few times. That was relatively easy. I was too scared to ollie the stairs though haha. I was really scared to board slide the 16. 4 extra stairs makes a huge difference. The 16 rail is actually shorter in height than the 12 which helps. Half of me didn't want to board slide the 16 because it's legit dangerous. But on the flip side, I knew I would regret it in the future if I didn't get the trick. After a few roll ups, I finally board slid the rail and jumped off at the end. After that, about 90% of the fear went away. I slid it a few more times then finally landed one and rolled away. It was an amazing feeling that I'll never forget.

Its crazy to see him in interviews on national japan tv, they show only his contest footage and try to make look skating like a "contest" sport. Same week he did the interviews, there was a segment bashing skaters for skating in the shotengai (shopping street) and leaving some marks on the walls and structures. Really hoping to see a real change there, they are taking all the medals while their skaters live in the US because they cant skate japan streets.

Parks situation is not that bad, but i think it was sakura yozosumi who said her mom had to drive her 2 hours away from her hometown to get her to the skatepark. Most casual, perfect nollie lip down the 16 for a warm-up 🤯

Goddamn that was gnarly. The chances of your tail clipping the rail from that nollie are just fuct. I mean, i might try that on a double sided curb, bit probably not. Cheers Yuto and thanks for the rough clips filmer
