That's the purpose of these vids. Check my channel many of the videos have engine bay audio recording. On the hybrid topic you can check my Golf 8 video, it also has some nice audio. I'm especially suprised of how the starter kicks in the engine so smoothly as it was never stopped.
This is really nice. You can hear how the petrol engine starts for more power and then switches back to electric for normal cruising. It’s just soo seamless
Could not agree more. I was so excited to hear the parts interacting so smoothly. The other suck demo is With hybrid VW Golf in my channel although a bit longer video. ruclips.net/video/AV26xUIlqm0/видео.html&ab_channel=SimpleDrive
Do people even know how to read? The title clearly says “Engine Bay Sound”. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that audio was recorded from under the hood. 🤦♂️
Thank you for your clarification. Not a native EN speaker. Would you mind giving me a tip how to title upcoming videos with the same recorded audio from under the hood. Should i stick to "engine bay" or "under the hood" or anything else?
That doesn’t clear it up at all. That just means it’s the sound coming from the engine bay, and with the video being from inside the car anyone would assume you’re hearing the engine bay from inside the car.
Please correct me if I am wrong, they must have a sound when running the electric engine at lower speed for safety regulations so that sound some people hate its mandatory by government.
I hate the sound it makes to avoid pedestrians. I'm not upgrading from my very old but quieter in this situation Prius because of this. Thanks for posting.
@@aidan1585I think I have no options here. Nowadays it's mandatory. And, if you turn it off, you become an "illegal driver" 🤦♂️. Some cars are worse than others on this. I'd be fine with the noise outside the car, not inside.
Hi. I'm glad you liked it. There is a full version of the test drive over here: ruclips.net/video/balXnB9LN8E/видео.html&ab_channel=SimpleDrive hope you enjoy. :)
It's actually silent af in real condition the sound didn't reach the cabin unless it's changing between the ev mode to hybrid, outside of the cabin isn't loud when driving, to the point that it kinda become dangerous for the surounding,
Yeah can you imagine the sound of a car engine blasting full noise inside the cabin? Of course they would return it luckily that’s what you have the engine bay for 😂
I have a 22 corolla hybrid. They must have put a mic inside the engine bay because it does NOT sound like this inside the car lol. Its extremely quiet unless you really rev the engine then the engine does get kind of loud but still doesnt sound like that inside lol
Why is rattling when the engine kicks in? Is something wrong with engine i see it's only done 14k kilometers. Why does it sound like the chain is ticking or pistons are about to leave the engine. Or is this normal for this engine?
I believe those are fuel injectors that provide such a loud "knocking noise". Keep in mind this have been recorded from under the hood so it's more louder under there compared to interior of the car.
One question. I've never had a hybrid or driven in one. How does the engine heat up. Does the engine work when its cold? I have heard about the engine turning on when recharging the battery.
I think at the beginning it runs on fossil fuel up to the point where it reaches the temp. But also depends on the heating element. If it is electric then you can skip the pre-heating with fuel and get the heat even faster. But to be honest I drove the car just for this test so I cant comment much about it. :)
Nothing to worry about. As the title states - the sound is recorded under the hood aka engine bay. That's why it sounds so weird, but its nothing to worry about. Thats just the way it is. Inside car you will bareley hear any of this. So If you've decides to buy one. Take it for a test drive and make the decision.

Never take 1.8 hybrid because it has alot of issu 2.0 with 180hp is much better and it works smoother no noisy when you speed up and gearshift is perfect everthing works together in the same time
I like this. You can really hear the hybrid components. Post more!

As a reminder before commenting that it sounds loud keep in mind this is *from under the hood* it’s going to sound louder naturally.

I'm lovin it. Corolla touring sports hybrid ,💥⚡
Sounds awesome
That's amazing technology
perfect car for me
Please correct me if I am wrong, they must have a sound when running the electric engine at lower speed for safety regulations so that sound some people hate its mandatory by government.
Thats correct, but in this case the mic is under the hood so it sounds loud. In real life you can only hear the petrol engine from outside the car.
Like a Spaceship :)
Sounds like a whale trying to get a lawnmower started Underwater🐋
Eh it's not it sound more like a spaceship before the ICE kicks in and makes the CVT be droney (I own a 2021 1.8L VVT-I Corolla)
Wow that noises, like a car from future!!
interesting i can hear the AVAS sound
Because it's filmed under the hood
Bro why does every hybrid car these days make the sound of a PlayStation 2
💀💀
I think it's been mandated by the government that EVs have to make some kind of noise so people know there is a car around. This includes hybrids.

Very interesting
Without electric engine it working like a diesel 😂
Do a video of this car at 15 km please with sound?
I have a 2021 hybrid Corolla and mine is never sounded that loud or that high
That’s nice, the reason why is because this sound is actually recorded from the engine bay
it sounds like a alien ship
Cool isn't it? :)
😂😂 could you imagine of that was inside the cabin. People would return this thing immediately.
It's actually silent af in real condition the sound didn't reach the cabin unless it's changing between the ev mode to hybrid, outside of the cabin isn't loud when driving, to the point that it kinda become dangerous for the surounding,

Sounds like an aircraft jet
Can you do the 2018-2023 XSE Toyota Camry
I'll check what I can do.
this is so cool
Nice
Direct injection tends to run a bit rough, maybe Bonet insulation might help, although it's not that noisy in the cabin,
Oh you can hear knocking if you have no radio and driving at night
Electric sound: VUIII
Gas sound: TRTRTRTRTRTRTRTRTRTR
Sounds like a jet engine lol
What version of Corolla is this? If it's a hybrid why does it still use a tachometer?
That's a hybrid. The engine kick in if you need additional power or it the battery have been drained.
@@SimpleDrive that's unique, most hybrid cars i've known has that charge/ eco/power gauge instead of RPM gauge.
OMG! My Ears!!!
Sorry. :)
it's false, I'm driving Toyota Corolla hybrid 2021 it doesn't sound like this !
have you placed the mic under the hood?

Bearings scream to be replaced for new ones?
I believe no. Its just the sound of hybrid in action. Audio is recorded from under the hood.
Is that last part fully electric when driving with CC
You need to Check with RPM if they drop to 0 it is "fully electric".
❤❤❤😊
Bedard rookie cards with wooden clothes pins.
Sounds like KITT machine
does the 2020 model also have such sounds?
If its hybrid then from under the hood it should sound the same.
Transformers 😊
It's a lawnmower, inside the hood
i'd say its a a space ship. :)
There is a strange noise..
Do you have warranty?
I took this car only for a test ride, so I don't own it. Thats why I cant comment on this one. :)
Its like NovaBus Hybrid xd
Is this a joke? My Corolla Hybrid is super quiet. This sounds like a vacuum cleaner mated with a chainsaw ⛓
It says in the title: engine bay, not inside the car itself
Yes I've placed the mic inside engine bay so we can hear how the electronics are performing. Just a curiosity. Interior indeed is very quiet.

Microphones in the engine bay… Check the title

No it doesnt really sounds like that. 🤣
Are you sure? 🤔
It sounds terrible lol is something broken?
No. It's all fine. The sound just comes from under the hood so you can hear all the components interacting. :)
