It was really hard to see in the shade, and then with out having the water sprayer, when you know what they look like dry, they will be even more amazing cut and polished!
Hey Brian & Julie, the finds from both sites are just stunning pieces. Brian!! I didn’t like watching you in that hole, please stay safe. Great finds great video. Cheers guys 🙌💎🌟
Thank you Johnny! I agree with you, I didn’t like Brian in that hole either. It was freaking me out the whole time. Everytime he hit the vein, rock and dirt would fall from above.😬😬😬
Wow! These are Incredible! Too many favorites to list. You guys scored! Thanks for taking us along on your expeditions and sharing your rock reveal/drool fest!✌️🤠🤘
Thank you! You haven’t hear of it because I give names to rocks. This one looked like a snowball on the outside. It was really cool! Unexpected for sure!
Oh my gosh, that agate is fascinatingly beautiful! I want, I hope, I must, I will get down there someday, but I doubt those strategies will work. You guys are great. Thanks for sharing another fun filled adventure to the Arizona desert.
Wow those are amazing 🤩😍 I love bloody basin agates there is so much plume and moss very cool I bet you had a blast there and there is no such thing to have to much agates
Decided I needed an AZRE fix today. I ran my finger across my screen and spun the ol’ wheel of fortune. Lo and behold, it stopped on this video. What! An episode I missed watching😲 How the hell did that happen. Please forgive me🫣. Sweet finds! And NO blood. Miss you guys.
lol! No blood at Bloody basin. But there may have been some, we just didn’t show it. I would have been surprised if we didn’t come out of there unscathed.🤣 Miss you too Troy!
@@AZRockhoundExpeditions I think you were there just days before or after I was. It rained like hell the day before I went there. Next time I will rope down the waterfall to make it out much safer than I did the 1st time. With that mud, I almost took the fast way down.
That is some Crazily (is that even a word) awesome stuff there. Them volcano's do some nice work eh! Ok, when I'm in the land of AZ again, hopefully June/July will you take me there????Please??????
I want to check that place out! I was told to go by the bridge. Did you guys go that far out? That looks awesome! I will need to learn what to look for and how to cut the agate
We haven’t been to Sheep’s Bridge, we have always wanted to! I know there is amazing rocks to find out that way! I hear the last few miles are a doozy of a drive.
As much as I enjoyed seeing the BB agate location, I'm disturbed by the bad collecting example being shown. It's hard enough to teach younger rockhounds to be careful where they collect. That undercut should be blasted down and digging restarted under a new vertical bank. I know that you know this, and yet you show collecting there. I'm sure you know about the collector from Tucson who was digging selenite in a deep undercut near St. David a few years ago. The bank collapsed and hewas burried. His wife couldn't find him, and he had the car keys in his pocket. She had to walk 7 miles out to get help. Wouldn't want that to happen to you. I do appreciate the show of specimens. Spectacular stuff.
Yes, I will admit that that was not a smart decision. I did put in text to “don’t do this”. Every Rockhound makes mistakes, and we aren’t perfect. Sometimes you do things and later look back and think, “yeah, I probably shouldn’t have done that.” As you can see from the rest of our videos, we are very safe. I don’t hide our mistakes. I show them so people can learn from them. We are not responsible for other Rockhounders choices. The BB area is now claimed and there are cameras in that area. And blasting that overhang would need a Plan of Operations from the Forest Service.
I read this just before going to delete much of my comments on the undercut. I know blasting is not a realistic solution. I'm appalled that USFS allowed the area to be claimed. The area should be withdrawn from mineral location so ordinary rockhounds could enjoy collecting there. It shows me that I should do more research before planning a trip down from Redding, CA to try my luck. I'll be looking up your other vids. On your Shopify site, you mention "your claims" have you claimed the BB site?
@@destravlr That claim has been owned numerous times. There are more than 20 acres out there to hunt. There are miles of BB agate. It’s that one particular spot that is claimed. I will add that not many ordinary Rockhounds want to climb up to that area. It’s a hike, bushwhacking through cat claw, and many other horrible brush. To get there is 30 miles of bad road that you need a high clearance 4 wheel drive and definitely need to air down. It’s beautiful material, but Bloody Basin makes you really work for it.
The material is so nice that a steep climb, or even catclaw is worth it. I'm debating driving down soon, or waiting until fall to collect. Thanks for the reply.
That hole looks worse on film. Risking life and limb for bloody agates... I'm officially Craig Steinhardt from this point forward. By the way, my allowance is past due, and we are out of milk mom!
🤣 Your allowance is sitting on your plate that has been sitting on the kitchen counter since Christmas (take care of your things Craig… gosh) 🤣 and you have your license, be a doll and run to the store to get the milk. 🤣🤣🤣 I’m dying!🤣🤣🤣
You mean the plate with the cookie crumbs? Feed the dog, water the lawn, take out the trash, polish the agates... The orphanage wasn't as bad as I thought. Ok, I will grab the milk.. Sorry mom!
Do you have coordinates for this place? Or a general area to head to? We’re headed to saddle mountain tomorrow, and the going up through flagstaff for a rock hound trip from SLC!
I don’t have cords for this place because it’s a claimed area now. But there are plenty of areas to go hunting. It’s 30 miles of very rough road. We air down to 15 psi so we don’t pop a tire. Rule of thumb out there, you need to hike 3/4 up the mountains to find the agates.
Obviously when you start a sentence with a warning, people have to wonder… but are you? To come on my channel and say something rude isn’t necessary. More troll like behavior. You have a choice not to watch or to mute. Didn’t anyone ever teach you “ if you don’t have something nice to say, don’t say anything at all.”? Thank you for the great idea of narrating over my over spoken videos! I’ll have to give you props! And leave Sponge Bob out of this.
Stunning rocks! Nice music.
Thank you Barbara!
Oh my ,those are beautiful. Wow
Thank you! The Bloody basin agates are beautiful!
WOW! I wasn't too impressed at first but... seeing them cut! Some of those are absolutely amazing!!!

Wow the slide show at the end is so amazingly beautiful. Love them all. Thanks for sharing 😊
Thank you!🙏🏼 We have a rock reveal like this for the majority of our episodes. It’s a pain in the butt to produce, but worth it in the end.😄

All so beautiful but the snowball agate was fascinating to me as I've never heard of it before. Great presentation at the end, thanks!

We love bloody basin, we make it a point to go only once a year, because it’s so hard to get to.🤣
Nice heliotrope or bloodstone agate. Quite spectacular.

How Did you Know!?🤣🤣🤣 Thanks Bubu!🙌🏼
❤❤❤❤❤
When I was there in January, I was smart enough to stay out of that hole. It was a lot of work to get there.
I didn’t go in it, just filming the guys going in gave me a heart attack. Some unstable earth for sure!!

I always wonder what makes a great agate?
I guess it all depends on who’s looking at it. Some people like plumes, others moss, fortifications. It’s all on the persons perspective.
What’s the best time of the year to rockhound this area? It’s been on my bucket list for a long time.
End of October through April. Otherwise it’s HOT!😄
